I think there has only been one time during a Nebraska game that somebody brought some alcohol mix and every time Nebraska got a score you had to do a shot. I think it was one of those where we won something like 62 to whatever.

What about handing them out before the game against Missouri? It's the beginning of the Big XII games, why not give them out and have the defense even more fired up for the game?

I'm glad Nebraska has a lot of time to get rested up, and ready for Missouri, but I can't believe it's over a week until their next game. I'm off that Thursday and then Friday as well. I'll be walking around like a caged animal this Saturday.

Nebraska has 300 consecutive sell outs because we as Cornhusker fans live and die with the teams wins and losses. Win or lose, Memorial Stadium is our "Field of Dreams", where no matter what life brings your way, Nebraska Football is that constant that makes us a proud Husker Nation. It's brought forth through Generations where many of us remember our Fathers and other relatives in front of the T.V. yelling so loud when Nebraska wins over rival Oklahoma, you know you can be heard for blocks. It's the Husker Fan pride that unites us after Nebraska scoring a Touchdown, you high five people you don't even know at a bar and grill during a game. I can't imagine being anything other than a Cornhusker Fan. I wasn't even born yet personally when the streak started in 1962. A lot of Husker records might have fallen, but the Consecutive Sellouts will last forever. I have said before, even with 85,000 plus attending the sellouts, if they'd be able to install 100,000 seats in Memorial Stadium, they'd still be selling out game after game.

Watching Missouri vs Nevada, I think we have a chance. Nevada gave Missouri a fight, and could have gotten in the end zone once if they didn't fumble the ball. I think Missouri will have trouble containing the Nebraska Rush too. As long as Nebraska isn't their own worst enemy.

150th Sellout in 1987 sounds about right. Nebraska's 200th sellout was in 1994 against Colorado.

Nebraska needs to run all over Louisiana Lafayette (I know I probably misspelled all that}, and shut them out, and then lay the smack down on Missouri on ESPN on Thursday. ESPN Thursday Night College Football IS the night of upsets too.

I wish the Colorado Buffaloes would have some of your Fan Hospitality rub off on them. Sounds like you made things really enjoyable for the Cornhusker Fans that were at the game. I wonder if Colorado fans riot any less when they beat Nebraska as they do when they lose? VT is one of the premier programs in my book.

Those questions they gave Bo Pelini were like listening to John Madden giving play by play. "What happened there in the end of the game Coach?" I can totally understand his response. Those types of questions are only given for sound bites. Bo Pelini throwing the headset made a statement. It meant to me, "We just gave it to them". In all honesty, I'd love to hear the VT coach after the game. It should be like what Bobby Bowden said after the 1994 Orange Bowl. "Sometimes the better team doesn't always win the ballgame". VT got damn lucky late in the game. Nebraska just needs to work on miscues and killing themselves with penalties and get the job done.

Unfinished Business, amen to that. I started thinking about that after the game. I wonder if they'll post 1:11 on the board for practice. I also keep thinking of the first Rocky Movie. Nebraska had VT on the ropes, but couldn't get the knockout. Imagine how overjoyed everyone would be if we pulled out the win. What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. It's just a 1 point loss too. It's where the team goes from here that counts.

I kept having dreams of Tyrod being fleshed out of the pocket by one Husker and then getting squashed by another Husker for a loss. By the Third Quarter, expect to see Tyrod shaking his head on the sidelines and talking back to his teammates.

Also, I have to say he completely farted on Cornhusker Tradition. The Blackshirts, Former Players, and he just seemed oblivious to the "Husker Attitude" that had to shine on the field. Sometimes it was a complete Flustercluck.

I've got chills thinking about how the Nebraska Defense is gonna unleash the beast on Virginia Tech Saturday. This is exactly what the team needs, to get fired up by former players and let them know how to get that fire back.
