  1. now march down the field and get some unanswered scores
  2. Looks like someone's art class project, how the WWE Titles look
  3. Husker Radio saying the field goes North - South not East - West, how do you tell the difference? the way the sun/shadows are during the game?
  4. There are a few things I can comment on. First off, its hard to get the rallying behind the team and the University when its a non Nebraska Alumni or someone who has not been in the state who has been eating, drinking and sleeping Nebraska Football. Trev Alberts, saw a team make a change when they went into attacking 4-3 football. Nebraska gained speed, attacked with no remorse and earned the right to the Blackshirts having an attitude that they were feared once they took the field. Nebraska was 1:16 away from a National Championship Season in 1993. I can imagine without a doubt, Trev Alberts told the returning players of the 1994 season, "You've got to get back to the Orange Bowl again" Fast Forward to the 1995 Orange Bowl, when Nebraska pulls ahead 24-17. You can see Trev Alberts telling people "you guys are awesome!" He knew FINALLY, Tom Osborne had his National Championship, after 22 years. all the hard work finally paid off. Scott Frost has had the taste of Defeat this season, but we're so close, this isn't a matter of "Moral Victories" but, Nebraska Football is in the right direction. in 1996 Nebraska had 2 losses. A blowout at the hands of Arizona State, and a late loss to Texas. Correct me if I'm wrong, but many people said "this is the end of Nebraska Football" Then in 1997, Nebraska found a way. It was as if it was "Refuse to Lose Part 2". 1997 C0-Champions. All of the finest College Football teams have had their ups and downs. Nebraska Football is on the rise again. Some way, somehow, this season, you are going to see it all come together. It's going to happen against either Ohio St, or what could be the #1 team at the time Iowa.
  5. I would let the Cornhuskers let it all fly.. they will have a bye week, so I'd explain to not let off the gas till the final whistle. time for a road win. Let out a lot of emotion and show them what Nebraska is made of
  6. The fantasy ending to our season that is actually a realistic possibility (not likely, just realistic) is: -Georgia drops a game they shouldn't and Iowa moves up to #1 -We beat Minnesota, Purdue, & Wisconsin -There's no stress in the Iowa game of having to win to be bowl eligible so we play b***s out -We beat an 11-0 Iowa by two scores I would freaking love that. Also, with the way the season has gone, if we would upset Iowa, I would be totally fine with the fans rushing the field.
  7. I guess for Penn St, near the end zone counts for a TD even if you don't cross the goal line
  8. ABC at Halftime talked about Michigan at Nebraska "Michigan is 5-0 but hasn't faced someone on the same level as Nebraska yet" I hope the Blackshirts open up a can on the Wolverines
  9. I hope ABC Sports audio does justice to how loud Memorial Stadium will be tonight.
  10. Feel free to lock this UNoffical thread as to not cause confusion
  11. Co-Champions: Michigan Nebraska I know, I know Michigan... Just one second
  12. What's this I hear about Wolverines fearing things in Red?
  13. Looking at a Michigan message board to see if there is any smack talk about Nebraska or the "co-holders National Championship whining" Found so far... the subjects are... So blue pants for the Nebraska game? and Looking ahead to Nebraska Submitted by Moleskyn on October 3rd, 2021 at 7:39 AM Log in or register to post comments Next weekend will be under the lights in Lincoln. I'm expecting to get Nebraska's best effort, so I was watching them a bit last night against northwestern. A few thoughts based off their game last night, and their schedule so far: They run the ball a ton, and they use the option. Requires discipline to defend. They ran for over 400 yards against northwestern last night (northwestern is in a down year, but that's still incredible). Against MSU, they ran 50 times for 194 yards. Martinez also threw 34 times for 244. Against Oklahoma, they ran 38 times for 95 yards. Oklahoma contained them well on the ground. Martinez threw for 289 on 25 attempts. It seems to me that discipline will be the name of the game for the UM defense next week. Discipline to bottle up the option and discipline to not suck in on play action to get beat over the top. Martinez will make mistakes. Oklahoma's offense was balanced against Nebraska's D: 35 runs for 194 yards, 34 passes for 214. MSU ran 30 times for 71, and threw 23 times for 183. Despite Nebraska massively out-gaining MSU, Nebraska turned it over twice and gave up a punt return TD. If UM's offensive gameplan is more Wisconsin than Rutgers, I don't see Nebraska's defense hanging on. That said, I think their defense is better than we probably think. I doubt UM will steamroll for 300+ yards on the ground. I think we generally have a negative perception of Nebraska, but I think they are going to be tougher than we expected at the beginning of the season. With the added factor of the game being on the road, in front of a juiced-up UTL crowd, I expect another close game. the Replies say more of the same. They know they are in for a fight. and I see some respect for the Cornhuskers.
  14. 23 years ago, Nebraska won the Orange Bowl, and Scott Frost said "If all the polsters honestly think, after watching the Rose Bowl, and watching the Orange Bowl that Michigan could beat Nebraska, go ahead and vote Michigan, by all means"... 2021, Frost gets his victory against a high ranked Michigan team
  15. Nebraska got a taste against Oklahoma. They should be going into this game HUNGRY. It's time to go out looking for dinner. It's not the size of the Husker in the Fight, it's the size of the fight in the Husker.
  16. Kirk Herbstreet just said Michigan St Spartans need to watch out for Nebraska. They are contenders
  17. Does anyone else remember seeing Switzer do this on the sideline of a OU/NU Nebraska game? I remember he realized the cameras were on him and he palmed the cigarette after that
