  1. OMG!!!! You are far to calm and level headed for this board!!!
  2. Bo's "light" approach seemd to work just fine last year... But...yeah...this thought occured to me as well. Assuming we make a bowl next year we will just have to see if he changes things up there.
  3. Speaking of classy... Where does one find these leggings?
  4. Here's Mizzou OC Yost and the boys gettin' ready for the big game!!
  5. You will need to register to read it (free). http://www.bucknuts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76657 Many of them seem to think this is where Bo wants to go!!
  6. I hope you're right right!! That would be a sweet Christmas present!! Got a link to confirm? Where'd you get this information? Nevermind!!! Just saw it on the front page of Rivals!!! AWESOME!!!!!
  7. Nick! C'mon...isn't there a Creighton bball game this week you should be preparing for?!?!
  8. lulz!! This made me chuckle!! But thanx for the warm welcome!!
  9. This is what I am trying to get at with the above. When this was brought up, people were always going to focus in on Watson and Gilmore, who are the holdovers and Watson at least is frequently stated as Tom's recommendation. But there's typically going to be a holdover or two with these coaching changes, almost by design as you suggest. It is the rest of the staff assembly that is more interesting to look at. To be clear by the way, I'm not making any suggestion that Bo is even looking for greener pastures or if that could be a reason - hope nobody gets me wrong here. When you look at Barney, is there any way he really has any amount of renown or national respect as an offensive lines coach? especially in our schemes? He could not have been the best coach for the job, and I think it's dubious to assume that Bo remembered the connection from one year, compared to the OL coaches he has probably encountered and built longer relationships with since he left in 2003. So why did we end up with Barney? We either just could not get anyone better here - with that OL class?! - or we chose to place a higher priority on things other than "quality as a coach." Anybody remember hearing that Grobe, was it, who took himself out of the running because he wasn't going to be allowed to hire all his own assistants? I don't know if that was ever reported on or just another one of the wild rumors back then, but it does sort of make you wonder about the strength of the "recommendations." Welllll..... If I'm a newly hired head coach...AND...it's my first head coaching gig....AND...a coaching LEGEND is "recommending" certain assistants...I think I might take a moment or 2 to consider the recommendations. First of all, I'm one of those guys that thinks Cotton gets a bad rap on the internets. That said, BC and RB were brought it to help restore the Husker tradition and family tree the HCBC and Pedey so successfully dismantled. Bo was here long enuff to understand the importance of these things and so I think he saw those as good hires for that reason.
  10. Ok...so...if Bo IS looking for greener pastures (see Miami), then it's only because TO is exerting too much influence on the make up of the staff. I, for one, don't buy it though. Sure...Tom suggested to Bo that he keep Wats and Gilmore to facilitate some continuity in the program. At the time the preception was that the offense "isn't broke"...so don't fix it. But I whole heartedly believe that if Bo wants to fire any of his staff TO will support his decision. Assuming its a well though out and planned decision and not just knee jerk reaction.
  11. Not necessarily true. TO was simply pointing out that during his tenure many fans called for the firing of his cooridnators...as well as himself. TO isn't going to fire someone off of Bo's staff. Don't you think Bo might be a little offended by that?! Ultimately, this is Bo's decision...and he may yet decide to fire SW whether TO thinks he should/will or not.
  12. Ummm...pretty sure it's not up to Tom who is or isn't a coordinator on Bo's staff. He can give Bo his opinion of course, but ultimately it's not his call.
  13. Holy Shite! He's one solid lookin' kid for 6'4" 307...not a lot (NONE!) of baby fat there!!
  14. Inside the 40? So anything from a 57 yarder in?!?! Yeah...me likey!! Hope it's true!!
  15. Wait? He's a "redshirted" freshman not a redshirt freshman...right?
  16. I agree that we had opportunities to win every game we played this year. But to say that we lost 3 games as opposed to saying the other team won these games is exactly why other fan bases look at us as arrogant and delusional. Now....I'm not calling you out on your opinion...becasue as a die hard Husker fan I know where you're coming from. But the truth is we got beat... It sux! But it's true.... That said, I am encouraged to know that the reasons we got beat are ultimately "fixable". Hang on to the ball...play more disciplined...execute!
  17. Yeah...OK... I suppose I agree to a certain extent...but time heals all wounds...and this is a some what sensationalized point of view. I agree Bo could (and should) have handled himself much better...but I'm curious what the reaction of other coaches would have been in under the exact same circumstances. And I'm not referring to the circumstances of that particular game alone...but rather the circumstances surrounding the program at that point in time.
  18. My daughter took me to the game yesterday. Was the first time I'd been in the student section for a game in 20 years. She had informed me of the "yellow flag" protest and so I cut up and old yellow t-shirt I had and brought it along. We handed out several pieces and had a ball waving it for every flag...our or theirs. it was fun and, I think, relatively harmless. Kinda like when you "read the newspaper" while the other team is introduced at a bball game.
  19. Holy Schnykies!!! She can throw a flag in my bed any day!!!!!! Hell!! I'd go for 16!!!
  20. Huh??? Hope he kicks ass and make everyone clamor for Cody Green jerseys!!
  21. Hope he throws for 325 and runs for 75 and creates a real QB controversy to end the season!! GBR!!
