Agreed, it is 100% about demand. The bold is what worries me the most. These car manufactures are rolling out the SUVs and trucks as the economy is getting long in the tooth. If s#!t hits the fan, this could be the ultimate backfire with regards to corporate strategy. People aren't going to be forking over $60-$90k for Trucks and SUVs. I understand the decision, it is just one that I wouldn't want to have to make.

I guess it depends on what time frame were looking at, but over the last ~40 years, the average intra-year decline is around 14%. Prime example of how easy it is to overreact to stretches of under performance or volatility. However, it ends up working out over the long term. Just look at oil. Less than a month ago, sell-side guys were calling for $100 barrel. Then it heads south, next they call for $40. But it is already back above $50 today.

Ok, thanks for the clarification but I’d argue that I understood your point. You’re saying that he most likely experienced the same thing with Kentucky fans. But he didn’t. He never committed to Nebraska, so they didn’t come out in droves to blast the kid. I’d love to see some tangible evidence to prove otherwise. This isn’t a new phenomenon. Nebraska fans, for good or bad, are overly passionate and that carries over to Twitter. There have been several recruits over the year that have noted this: Bussey, the WR who chose Louisville last minute, etc.. Reddit’s CFB forum also has had various articles or links to recruits who have even mentioned the obsession our fans have and how they can fill the inboxes. Again, sometimes this is an advantage but, in this particular case, it is a huge blemish to our image.

Not really sure what point you’re trying to make. I couldn’t care less what Kentucky fans do/say on Twitter. My concern is that our fans continually seem to berate kids that choose other schools and it makes us look bad. I don’t really care if other fan bases do the same, I want us to be better.

The out worked well for us. There were several times it went for 7-8-9-10 yards. It helps to spread the defense out and run against a stout front 7 of Iowa. Couldn’t care less if this program fell off a cliff. Honestly, who cares if Frost isn’t the only coach to go undefeated there? What do we, as a program gain? Some of our fans’ obsession with it last year, almost like they were grasping for any success and clamoring to frost, was weird and I’m so glad it’s behind us. Our fans rubbed it in their face that he came home and they, like the hurt girlfriend they were, wished us nothing but the worst. The feeling is mutual and I really hope we don’t have to discuss that program in a husker football forum ever again.
