I noticed this lack of emotion/fire/intesity whatever you want to call it at the ISU game. I'm 26, I remember going to Husker games since I was 5 years old. In the Osborne, and, even the Solich days when I would go to a game the guys on the sideline could hardly stand still because they were pumped up and excited to be out there. Bad play, they would get pissed off together. Awesome play, they would cheer together.
Now, the team just stands there and does nothing but watch the game. Bad play, nothing. Awesome play, nothing. It's like they just don't give a f@#k. The intensity seems to have been going downhill ever since Callahan took over. It's a joke.
I am a Husker fan for life, always have been, always will be. But I can't stand just waiting for something to happen. Part of me inside wants us not play in a bowl game this year, and see what kind of staff changes, if any would take place. I'd have to believe if we didn't go to a bowl game in year four of the Callahan experiment, that he would be looking for a new job in December.
The other part of me inside wants to see the Callahan experiment work flawlessly for the rest of the year, doubt it's gonna happen though.
We will see what happens. However rocky the road may be, I will still cheer for them.
oh and
