  1. Bing. As would I. I would do the same. We can only hope there is a husker fan out there that could do this for someone who has given us such great memories. I wonder if there would be a way to put together a fund for buying this stuff and then to have it turned back over to Aaron? I am willing to donate to any such fund. To me me there is just something morally wrong with this. I know that it is the law, but IMHO it borders or even crosses the moral line. I really do hope that a fan that is able to money wise buys these items and returns them to him. He deserves to keep them!
  2. I typically don't like this kind of showboating "celebration" but, I like this one for some reason.... Because it throws Miami's "swagger" right back at them. Congrats on the win and good luck to you the rest of the way. I would also like to say thank you for the hospitality your fans showed when we made the trek down there. Everyone I was with down there felt very welcomed and were treated really well.
  3. Right mind? Really? You obviously haven't been reading the post in regards to the new found love for Cody Green after Zac's last game. I am not one of the people out of their right mind, but if you look through the board your statement would imply there are a lot of insane people on the board. There are a lot of insane people here..... you should know that from reading their post!
  4. Please move on folks.... there is no more sense in thinking about what could have been, because it never will be.
  5. Were the coaches out on the field for that long pass play down the sidelines or was it that a player in a cover 2 missed his assignment looking in the backfield and let a player go free? I am sure that is not the coaching that they got. Problem is most of the team played a full 60 minutes.... one player, however, only players 58 and a half minutes and it eventually cost us the game. Those things happen.... it's over, they will all learn from it and they come home to play in front of the 300th sell out crowd. Bring on the rest of the season and GO HUSKERS!
  6. Collins wouldn't have been accepted into Stanford based on academics, or his ACT/SAT score. He made the bare minimum to even be considered by Stanford, and his athletic abilities took over from there. REALLY??? He graduated with a 4.0 GPA if my memory serves me correctly from Westside HS. Where did you get your facts? If you have proof of such scores please post them for eveyone! OK, He left the team... He is also only 19 or 20. I for one wish him the best in anything he does in the future. Just because it didn't work out for him here doesn't mean he is a bad kid.
  7. Neither one of them was the right thing to do. At this point does it really matter which one was "worse". Both were wrong and both shouldn't have happened... PERIOD! The ironic thing for college football is that last night incident happened on the opening weekend when the NCAA wanted teams to show sportsmanship. That didn't go to well for them. Also... The Boise State player was wrong as well, but to say he was worse is completely worng and off the wall thinking.
  8. Hopefully not the slow helicopter that was used last year. That was the worst I have ever seen. If they are going to be like that I wish they just wouldn't have one to begin with.
  9. DITTO!!! The tree is creepy and weird beyond words!
  10. And the conspiracy theorists continue to rant and rave........... What the hell are you talking about? There is no conspiracy here. Only a bunch of fans willing to accept whatever Bo says, simply because Bo said it. I'm not against Q being dismissed nessasarily. And if you took the time to read most of my posts, instead of lobing lame insults at me because you dislike me. Then you would know I'm a big fan of Bo, and believe he was the best choice for NU when hired. But that doesn't mean I like his attitude and handling of the media. I feel as a fan of one of the biggest CFB programs in the country, and a direct contributer to the university for the majority of my life. (remember, public institution= tax funded) I feel the people sometimes deserve more of an explanation than, "I'm done talking about this!" or, "This is an internal matter." Sorry, but that's not always good enough for me. Especially considering there can be a strong argument made that his "cleaning house" is a bit more arbitrary than many of you, or the media are trying to portray it to be. .................Now that is a rant!!! I disagree with you that Bo owes us all more. You don't need to know everything that goes into every decision he makes. You wouldn't get that at your workplace and you will never get from the University or athletic department. He was hired to do the job and that is what he is doing. And by the way.... The athletic department is not funded publicly by tax dollars from you, me or anyone else. They are self sustained! So unless you give the athletic department money directly you are not "monitarily" supporting the football team.
  11. Now that made me laugh even though it probably shouldn't have!

    FYI

but then you miss all the tunnel, the band, etc. I am surprised there are still tickets to be had for the 300th sellout... The tickets that are available are from the alotment that is given to the visiting team. If they are unable to sell there entire amount they have to return them and the ticket office makes them available to us. There are still 13,000+ on the waiting list for season tickets. I am positive the Athletic Department would much rather sell the alotment to people that would wear red and be loud each game.
  13. It's the same Receivers coach so what would change? Still find it strange that two other coaches on this staff have more credentials to be the rec coach then Gilmore I thought that Brown was working with both WR and TE. NO??? If not then I was mistaken... or was wishfully thinking!
  14. Wish that both Nunn and Purify could have played with the current staff instead of the last one. They could have developed into something real special. Hope they both make it!
  15. My last name starts with M and I got my tickets in the mail on Saturday. I would think that everyone should have them by now!
  16. shifty Next Person: Neil Smith (named above, but his answer was messed up) Word: Chiefs Next Person: Shawn Watson Teacher Next Person: I. M. Hipp
  17. I agree but I can't get Unsportsmanlike Conduct where I live, so I'm stuck with The Big Show w/ Matt Perrault. It's either that or "The Spread" with Jason Peter. And that show sucks. USC is on the internet as well. You can hear them live thee each day!
  18. Was that the Shrine Dinner last week?
  19. I am going with a group of 260 people from Omaha. We have 5 buses rented and will do a tailgate in Lincoln before the game. I am looking forward to seeing the LB & QB the most. I just want to see good compitition and see how the redshirts perform. See you there!
  20. If it was ever in jeopardy for a game there would be some booster to buy all the remaining tickets that went unsold to keep the streak alive. It is not in jeopardy now. If Callahan had not been fired, it might have been. But not with Pelini and the way the team performed. And I am sure that if I am wrong someone will correct me, but I believe there is something like 14-18,000 people on the waiting list for tickets still. It's not ending anytime in the forseeable future! GBR!!!
  21. I actually have nothing about him that I "won't" miss. I am very thankful for him being here and would love to see more in the same "mold". History will really shine brightly on what he meant to this team and this staff. THANK YOU.... Joe Ganz! Best of luck to you in anything you do in the future.
  22. I'll help with some other awesome threads that can be started: - What if Pederson was still AD, but he fired Callahan? - What if Pederson was still AD and he didn't fire Callahan? - What if Michelangelo became the AD...would he hire Leonardo as head coach, Donatello as offensive coordinator, and Raphael as defensive coordinator (and who would be the position coaches)? - What if TO was hired, but gave Callahan one more year? ...oh wait, this totally awesome subject is already being talked about.
  23. Really???? Every coach in Osborne's era interviewed for other jobs, including Osborne himself. Should they all have left? Its a part of the profession... get over it. Everyone of these guys will interview for a job sometime somewhere. It is also a way of making connections for these guys. In case their ever without a job and need one, they have that many more connections. I am also willing to bet that you have interviewed for another job at one point or another while working for your employer. You guys are way overboard on this. It happens all the time... not just in the coaching profession. By the way... didn't we have something like the 9th ranked offense in the country this year. With the overall talent that we had on the offense that is a decent place to end up in the rankings. Sure wasn't just because of the other offensive coaches we ended up there. A lot of the credit goes to Watson. I truly believe that some on this board will never let the fact that he coached at Colorado go. JMO!!! I will stand up and say that I want him to STAY,and I am very hopeful that he will!!!
