  1. Thanks for summing it up for me even though it was the opposite of what I wanted to hear this may just be the worst year in husker football history
  2. But just looking at the score I want to throw up. WTF happend If the score was any indication of the actual game we are done winning for the season. I don't know what to say I'm speachless at the crap that has been but in front of me and called nebraska football. It is physically impossible to due less with the amount of tallent on this team.
  3. this gets me fire up for saturday is it bad that I'm more excited to see the 97 team back together than I am to watch the game. I mean the game will be exciting but the 97 team man can't wait.
  4. I hope your right but givng up 40 to ball state makes me think we have more than a few issues and personaly I will do backflips if we hold osu to under 20
  5. found this web site while I was messing around on the web. It's pretty cool it ranks all 120 coaches and how safe their job is. At least bc can get into the top 25 in something. http://www.coacheshotseat.com/CoachesHotSeatRanking.htm
  6. Better get ahead early and not have any turnovers. Over the last several years, this team has shown a propensity to throw in the towel when behind. Yes, I know there have been a couple of games that they haven't, but this seems to be the trend. For all of those who are convinced that OSU, A&M or KSU will be easy, you must not have watched many of the games this year. Ours or theirs. It used to be that teams coming into Lincoln were intimidated. Not any more. It looks really really grim don't know if we can win them all but a 2-4 finish sounds logical it's sad 6-6 makes me want to throw up
  7. Let me guess the it's a delayed punter blitz right? As long as not more than three people blitz don't
  8. four year is enought to establish your self when you take over a 10-3 team. No, four years is not usually enough. Sure, some coaches do it in less time, but many good coaches take longer. Be patient guys. You got rid of a 10-3 coach because of your impatience to win a national title right away and look where you are now. YOU STINK!! Sure, get rid of this guy and then complain about the next one just like you complained about the last one and the present one. I don't mind. It's going to be a long, rough road until you learn to settle down and back someone through the long haul. how many of the coaches have had recruting classes like the huskers have had the last couple of years we bring in top talent every year and they play at mid-tier level. That is the coaches lack of ability to motivate.

  10. :lol I fell for it to guess i should read more carefully.
  11. That's good news can't wait to see Aleks and the Huskers in the tourny this year.
  12. i'm sick of waiting bc now has most of his players and we are still no where near a national championship 7-4 is not nebraska football and am getting tired of hearing people say just give it time I've givin' it 4 years and I want change not to pray for a six win season and eight at best.
  13. Not being sarcastic but I think he would be a great choice, him or Bill Cowher would be my pick don't think I like the idea of a nfl coach usually if they are successful there they are not in college there are a few that have had success but I would rather have a coach who has had success at the college level
  14. wtf get lost ya puke go home!!!!!! little overboard but we have a lot of tallent at qb just hope it performs.
  15. did anybobdy noticed they had mizzou winning the big 12
  16. well the defenese has played well enough that Coz and afford to bench one of the best players and leaders and we will hardly notice a differance becuase the scheme is so good.
  17. is the armed forces bowl the old fort worth bowl.
  18. I'm not willing to say Callahan is the problem...yet. I'm real close. He hasn't been put in the position to excel due in a large part to a lack of athletes. We have some "good" players that I believe have been unfairly characterized as "great." I will start with Ruud. He's only a stud because other guys simply can't make the tackle. He has great stats, but "athleticwise" he will not be in the NFL. He is not "great." Grixby plays with heart which I admire, but you can throw the ball right over him and he was like a flea on the back of Rucker. We've got slow guys on defense that "can" make tackles and we've got fast guys that "can't." It's simply a bad combination. The fact that the defense had to try and make major (and totally irrelevant) changes after the first quarter against Mizzou just shows that Cosgrove was unprepared and clueless. Calahan can have input on the offense, but I don't like him calling the plays. It takes too long. He's not quick on the ball. He offers little variety. We ran Lucky to the short side of the field almost every running play. Anyhow, I'm already changing the subject. We now realize how great Zack Taylor was. He had more than one year of playing experiene under BC's system and a mediocre O-line. This year we have the same type of line and a decent quarterback, but Keller is here for a year and then "good bye." I'm not trying to say Callahan shouldn't be gone, but there are some things that could change to his benefit. With Cosgrove still around there will be nothing but come from behind wins which we were able to pull off last year. He needs to go because even Osborne couldn't play "catch-up" football with much success. Give us a lead (almost any type of lead which we have rarely hade in the past two years) and I think Callahan has a chance to do well. The option didn't work well when we were down and the west coast offense does not work well when you are down. Hell, nothing works well when you are down. We also played "catch-up" last year but with Taylor there was hope. You could come at Taylor with a chainsaw and he still could make an unbelievable pass. He was gutsy and special. If you breathe hard on Keller, he's either sacked or the ball is going out out bounds. Osborne was "business-like" as well. That's not the problem. Callahan getting all "fired-up" would only mean that we would lose with a lot more passion, but it wouldn't change the score. We've got a full slate of mediocre athletes on both sides of the ball. Osborne had the ability to find what appeared to be "mediocre" athletes that were actually really great. Apparently, it appears that Callhan has found what appears to be "great" athletes that are really mediocre. I'm willing to hold out for another year or two for Callahan to actually find a couple true studs on both sides of the ball and then the rest may fall into place. If Callahan is actually commited to finding them, it will show. My question of Callahan is not with his ability, it is with his commitment. Did he breathe easier when he got the contract extension or did he say to himself "this is my home and I am motivated to give my all to my fellow Nebraskans?" Osborne is a Husker. Solich is a Husker. Gill is a Husker. McBride is a Husker. For me the question is simply this: Is Callahan a Husker or a guy doing simply enough to collect a paycheck? I'm not convinced that he is a Husker. I'm not convinced that he is not. If we were loosing with passion I would not be as upset as I am the lack of passion that bc has is showing in the lack of passion that the players have maybe if he were more fired up. Some of it would rub off on our players
  19. ok not sure which forum to put this in and this probably is not the right one but if I could find a downloadable version of the prayer chant I would like to turn it into a cell phone ringer but the only one I can find is the streaming version on tunnel talk if some one could help me out that would be great. I realize this will probably be move so please tell me where you are moving it so I can follow it. Thanks
  20. I agree there is also something to be said when over thirteen hundred fans voted one way and the other two choices had less than 100 votes this staff obviously isn't impressing anyone and it is time to cut our losses and move on.
  21. look at the results of this it is obvious what needs to happen the only question is when and how
  22. being from kansas i've grown to dislike both kansas schools due to my firneds I always cheer aginst them I can't see my self ever cheering for mu or cu and isu has about as much of a chance as we do I guess i have no choice but to root for a team i dislike in ku
  23. is this going to help get him fired if it is than I'm for it other than that it kind of speaks for the sleazy used car salesman like scum we all already know that he is
  24. Is it possible that we could throw enough money to get Jim Leavitt away from usf he has big 12 experience and success. But he has been with south florida since the program started so it would be hard but he has built that program up from nothing and we are just a hair above nothing right now and would like to see him as our coach.
