  1. Kansas fans don't care either. They need 10 wins before they become 'fans' again. That is so true. Thats why they are a friendly rival in football right now, because their fans don't care enough to be ass@#$*@'s about it, and we kicked their ass for so many years, its still hard to take them seriously. They are, and always will be, a basketball school first.
  2. you're right she was wrong, it should be meth. this just reinforces the idea that the only good tiger fan is 6 feet under the ground in itty bitty pieces. Says the guy who thought the "Sal is dead, go Big Red " thing in the 80's was funny. I think its about time someone bans you're ass. I'm ashamed that you call yourself a Husker fan, and its people like you that make the Husker nation look bad.
  3. Blaine Dalton = EXTREMELY overrated. There are a couple funny stories about that kid that would make Mizzou fans laugh. One of which is that he did even want to be a Tiger, but only went there because other teams would not take him. Wanna guess why he didn't want to go to Mizzou? Because his dealer doesn't live in Columbia? Seriously though, he committed half way through his junior year to Mizzou, so why would he do that if he didn't want to go there. i don't think the recruiting services are even done with their evaluations by then on h.s juniors. The kid already had a bad reputation for suspected drug use, so this comes as no surprise. But his highlites are impressive, including a 90 yard Crouch like TD run against in town rivals blue Springs High in the playoffs. So i don't know why you think he is over rated Willie
  4. Doubting that. Blaine is a big, athletic QB who can run or pass. 6'5 guys with a cannon for an arm and speed like he has do not come along often. Unless Blaine royally effs up, he'll get drafted and highly, regardless. Tyler is like a 6'0 version of his brother. Which is good, because he has great talent like his brother. But bad because he doesn't have that NFL size and strength like his brother either. It remains to be seen if Gabbert can ever produce on game day. So far, he has been a football camp kid. who has never done much in games, even before he got hurt his senior year. Just like Freeman, I doubt Gabbert ever beats the Huskers. In fact, if Blaine Dalton gets back on the team after his drug arrest, I predict he beats out Gabbert. Dalton led his team to 2 state championships in 3 years, and is a legend here in Missouri, like Rex Burkhead was down in Texas. The kid just has the " it" factor.
  5. I'm not worried about it. Why not take some free trips, and see some sights. Also no one is laughing at Mizzou, because he was never theirs to lose. He would have gone to KU, if he had not commited to us.
  6. At least he is still a verbal. He needs to come up soon. he has a good relationship with Sanders, and has said if he likes what he see's in Lincoln, it's a done deal.
  7. For real. Daddy Gabbert absolutely loves Nebraska and Watson in particular. Dad didn't care about the coaching change as much as Blaine did. As long as Watson stayed aboard, dad didn't care about Callahan getting the axe, only Blaine did since that is who he had a great bond with. Which sucks for Blaine, because we all know how well spread offense QB's do in the pro's, if they even make it there at all. Little Gabbert is a better gamer than big bro, and if he comes here, he has a much better chance of going pro. I do hope he grows a couple of more inches though.
  8. We need to get his ass up to Lincoln, and recruit the hell out of him. I knew that when he committed so early without visiting, he was a soft verbal
  9. Aaron Green will be a 5 star in 2011, and he will be ours
  10. Don't remember anything about him, and his story is not interesting at all. No offense though, I know there is not much to talk about this time of year.
  11. They knew they were thrid on the list, so with Terry being a KU legacy, I'm sure the Jayhawk fans are alot more pissed. But yeah Mizzou thinks Lucas is theirs, and that he is better than Terry. I want to see us pull in all three of the Missouri star, Gabbert, Terry and Lucas, then listen to the Misery fans bitch about it.
  12. I hope he works out at receiver, because we really need players at that position right now. We do? Paul Holt Brooks Henry Guillyen(Sp?) Kinnie Bell Cooper Osborne Mendoza. Really? Well, considering that we only had two in lasts years class, and one was a juco guy, I would say yes for sure. Then you have the fact that Holt and Brooks are seniors, and that only Paul has ever done anything on the field who will be back in 2010. Also Mendoza is a RB, who is experienting at receiver, and Guillyen has shown that he can't catch the damn ball so far. Look, we just lost our most productive receivers in Swift and Peterson, and we have no proven go to guys, so i don't know how you can say receiver is not a position of need right now. I guess we have some bodies on the roster, but i would say we need 3 receivers in this class.
  13. Not one mention of NU in that article.
  14. When NU can get 4-5 star Texas players they will be a top 5 team, but until then they will be battlin to win the North and continue losing to the South's best. You have to get skill players that UT and OU want, not the Texas kids that would have to settle for TCU or Houston. Come on rkhufu, do some research before you post. Last years class had three 4 star Texas kids that alot of the big boys wanted Chris Williams: offered by Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon Rex Burkhead: ofered by Michigan, Auburn, LSU, Cal Cody Green: offered by LSU, Texas A&M, Miami Don't forget about the late in home visit and offer by Stoops to Andrew Green. And of course we now have the inside track to his little bro Aaron, who will be a 5 star RB in the class of 2011. This years class is off to a kick ass start, and we will get more 4-5 star Texas kids in this class.
  15. Me either...lol. But I would love to get commitment from Terry, Lucas and Gabbert, and then go over and listen to them bitch about it on tigerboard.
  16. I'm excited too, but did you read his quotes? it does not sound like he is 100% on his commitment. Gilmore and Garrison better call him a least every other day for a while.
  17. We need to keep recruiting Terry hard. I mentioned before that his dad and h.s coach are both former KU players, and Terry mentioned that and how close it was between us and KU. He has a good relationship with Gilmore and John Garrison( who also went to Blue Springs High) so they need to really stay on this kid, or he will be another Kevin Young de-commitment.
  18. Make him get faster. I'm a swimming coach, not a track coach. Plus, his 4.6 is a legit camp timed 40, not some b.s self reported time. Not bad for a 16 year old junior to be last summer. Why don't you try being more positve about a solid 4 star recruit?
  19. I'm sure you're referencing the swing pass to the RB in the flat against Oklahoma. (Or maybe it was a quick throw to a WR in the flat.) That has nothing to do with a given player's speed. It has more to do with the actual execution of blocking assignments and calling that type of play when the defense isn't expecting it. Jenn, you complete me.
  20. Another great thing about the Terry commit, is with that even with Mizzou and Kansas doing well, we can stiil steal recruits out of there own backyard. Now if we can get Gabbert to commit, we will really have them shaking their heads..lol
  21. I hope he works out at receiver, because we really need players at that position right now.
  22. Yes, we finally get a receiver. I got hired to coach swimming at his h.s next year, so I will keep tabs on his progress this year, and give updates. They play some damn good football here in Blue Springs.
  23. I agree, he would have been a nice addition to our team. Then we could have redshirted Green and LTW.
  24. Bo said he never singles out individuals but always smacked a big fat one on Ganz backside after every game. What are you talking about? Show me the quote where Bo says that. He will never throw one player under the bus in the media, but he will rip someone a new one when they screw up on the sideline, as well as give players plenty of praise when they do well. You are way off base with that one. Bo is a players coach, and always will be. He knows just the right balance of constructive criticism and positive feedback.
  25. Yeah, just look what speed has done for the Raiders . I don't think you always have to be 6'4 to play receiver, but 5'7 is to short, unless he is a return man, or a darron sproles type RB. If we didn't go after this kid hard, then we are just plain stupid. who are talking about anyway? We have offered no 5'7 receivers from FL. I want the type of stud that can play as a freshman, and Keeston Terry is not that good. I still want hm, but he a long term project.
