  1. Good, we don't need Hell in Nebraska, the Callahan era is over.
  2. Holt will be our go to guy next year. But we need guys other guys like Henry to step up for depth.
  3. Like I said before, he wasn't drunk. Sure he has a couple of DUI's, which he should've been punished for when they occured, but he wasn't. To say now, that he should go sit in jail for having a suspended license and no front tag is ridiculous. I was one who glanced at the article, and thought it was another DWI. However, there is no question that he will do jail time for driving on a DWI suspended license. He will get at least 30 days.
  4. Okay, my heart rate went way up until I got to the end of that article. Thats freakin hillarious.
  5. I care about him, because he has the disease of alcoholism. I'm in recovery for addiction problems, so I can relate to doing the same insane crap over and over again. He needs to get help now, and more than likely needs to go to rehab. Don't judge him to harshly, as I'm sure every poster on here has friends or family members who have addiction problems. I just thank God that he has not killed anyone with his drunk driving yet.
  6. haha.. I broke the portable radio I was listening to against the wall during that game.
  7. I think there are a lot people who have been questioning Anderson before this season started, and this has just added fuel to the fire.
  8. I was crushed when we missed the 2 point conversion in 1984. I suffered through the 70-10 beat down, and the embarrassment in Austin the year before. Watching Switzer's Sooner magic was awful. The bowl loss streak, many of them blowouts, in the late 80s and early 90s, and then the 2002 Orange Bowls were no fun. The blowout losses hit me worse than last second losses because it showed how far off we were. But nothing hit me like hearing that Berringer died in a plane crash. Finally, someone mentions the 84' Orange Bowl. We were supposed to be unbeatable, and Miami was still a nobody at that point, so to me that is by far the most painfull loss ever. Plus, even growing up in Lincoln, I was never really into Husker football, until that year when I was in 7th grade, so it was a big let down.
  9. He looks like Tommie Frazier on steriods.
  10. Sometimes it is a straight line race, for example a DB covering a WR on a fly route, or a FS chasing down a RB to make a touchdown saving tackle. So yes a players 40 time absolutely matters. Now I will agree with you that 40 times have become over-rated and over-hyped due in large measure to espn. However, that's why all those other drills: cone, shuttle, broad and vertical jumps, etc are used by scouts in conjunction with the 40 to determine athletic ability. Are you really a girl? You're have more knowledge about football than about 90% of the guys on here.
  11. Impressive schollie list, but how can you be 6'3" 220 lbs and max bench only 225? By itself that doesn't mean everything, but it does bring up concerns of core strength. He must have long arms. Come on man, he's a freakin QB, not a LB. I got that, but my point is that with his stature, he should be able to bench more than 225. It goes back to core strength. If you want an example, look at any runner in a fb game (RB, QB, etc.).....if they go down with an arm tackle, poor core strength is one of the culprits. I'm not saying he should be able to hoist 300 lbs, but if 225 is the best he can do at his age, he better hope for a defense like NU's 07 defense cuz anything else will put him down. I hear ya, but if he has long arms, 225 is not bad for a 17 year old at all. People with long arms have a tough time with flat bench press. His squat is pretty damn good at 385, and that takes a ton of core strength. Although most h.s kids I see go only about 1/4 way down. But if that is a legit squat, his leg strength will make it hard to bring him down.

  13. Supposedly they're at this link, but not a lot of people are saying that they'll win. There is a prevalent theme though that they won't get killed like they did in the Texas game last year, because we're far from the level of Texas and frankly they're right. ehh you know i disagree with that...i mean how much did texas beat us by in 07 and 06? i think nebraska wins by 35 Yeah, and K-State beat them twice with Ron Prince, but what he said is we are far from the level of Texas overall, and he is right. I hope that changes soon, but Texas has been an elite BCS team for a decade now. But FAU will get their ass kicked for sure. The Huskers will be one of the best defenses in the country next year.
  14. When he gets here for the spring game, he will know he made the right choice.
  15. Sounds good, we need more home grown talent.
  16. That means auburn is both the leader for him and seastrunk. Why on earth would these kids want to play for a guy like Cheesedick?
  17. I started this thread, but now I'm not so sure about having a fastbreak offense. Michigan State has made it to the final 4 by having a half court offense, and keeping high octane teams in the 60's. They totally frustrated Louiville, who had put 100 points in one game. We are never going to get MacDonald All Americans at Nebraska, so I think slowing the game down might be the only way we ever make it.
  18. Not to defend K-State, but the only way they would be remembered as one of the worst teams in history, would be if college football ended in 1989. What did they do after that that would change that label? Come on man, I hate KSucks, are you really going to make me list their success from the early 90's on? Alright, here it is 6 top 10 finishes 11-0 regular season record 1998 Big 12 conference championship 2003 6 11 win seasons winning or sharing 4 Big 12 North Championships Yes,they do have an overall losing record in their history, but what Snyder did with that program, has to take them off the list as being one of the worst teams in history. Now I feel sick for defending a team I hate as much as KSU. Thanks alot man.
  19. Damn, I take it he will now cancel his spring game visit.
  20. Not to defend K-State, but the only way they would be remembered as one of the worst teams in history, would be if college football ended in 1989.
  21. Why would any returning Blackshirt not have them going in to this season? Unless you are someone like Phillip Dillard who will be lucky to be 3rd string this season, you should be able to keep you're Blackshirt.
  22. Also, I think this has a lot more to do with the players then with Bo himself....because last time I checked he hasn't had an interception or fumble recovery during this decade so.... I'm just saying some players have a nose for the ball, or a better nose for the ball than others...I bet you it's cyclical. Evidence: Josh Bullocks Its not just the players, its his system as well. LSU in 2007 was number #1 in turnover margin in the SCC, and one of the best in the country. So no, it was not an anomally like rkhufu7 suggested.
  23. I wonder if Lawrence Phillips has internet access from prison?
