  1. Heard something about this being talked about today, but don't have any details... anybody know anything?
  2. here's the story, of the man Pelini, who was....
  3. there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home...
  4. Tradition. Culture. Blue-collar. Work ethic. Etc., etc., etc. Hate to go all Paterno here, but we should wear Red and White. Period. Leave fashion to the Ducks.
  5. Noooooooooooooooooooooo! (they look like pajamas)
  6. I don't think you'd live long after you told Michael that the 'Corleone Family' was a little dorky. Sleep well with the fishes H-X-pat. >>>T_O_B you're right TOB, if you say 'Family' in that windy tone and throw out your chin, it's a whole different deal...
  7. here's hoping for many more similar pics in Husker gear!!! ...can you imagine having the big-dog celebrating with us on a frozen 'O'-Street!!! (although that doesn't really work since the crystal trophy comes from a warm-weather spot not in Lincoln...)
  8. Yeah well, Nebraska beat Wake Forest, who beat Vanderbilt, who beat South Carolina, who beat Mississippi State, who beat Kentucky, who beat LSU... but it was in Kentucky
  9. completely agree with you X... we don't have a clue what we've got here right now. IMO, folks are gonna be astounded when they (new staff) match the player with the position, build the confidence in their assignments, and pin their ears back!!! (I've always thought that Cally & Coz's magic 'schemes' had their heads spinning, and wrung out all of the pure sandlot athlete in everyone). GBR
  10. since the spring game is more of a first-come, first-served deal, I'm thinkin' we all should start lining up to get in the stadium sometime next week...
  11. if memory serves, i think Norvell's decision was equally, if not more, about his wife's physical condition... systic fybrosis or something like that; the Nebraska weather was really hard for her...
  12. West Vagina is handling OU while in the midst of a coaching change. you mean the Asian thing?... I thought that was only a myth.
  13. agree, can't believe the academic levels at Auburn are too terribly high?? based on? based on a small town in se Nebraska. how high do you think the academic standards are in small town rural community? rural area = inferior academic standards? what a joke yes, unfortunately it quite often is. huh? http://www.psk12.com/rating/USthreeRsphp/S...CountyID_0.html (2002) Nebraska high school rankings... latest available year without paying to join
  14. agree, can't believe the academic levels at Auburn are too terribly high?? based on? based on a small town in se Nebraska. how high do you think the academic standards are in small town rural community? whoops... might wanna rethink that reaction...
  15. No New Year's (or later) bowl game... No hot topic rumor controversy... substituting BP for Chuck Norris or Jack Bauer was fun for a while... hell, I don't even hate Pedey and Cally any more... ...what's a guy s'posed to do???
  16. agree, and execpt for photos in the facility, which are fine, somethings are better just left dead. ...but time does heal all wounds. Don't see any harm in it. BP and bro do seem very genuine in respect for FS. IMO; whatever helps Husker Nation to simply forget the 4-year 'dark time'. (ps - loved the quote in the LJS today, "what rebuilding?, we just whooped up on Michigan State in the Alamo bowl, love our coach, and are all looking forward to the coming season!" - or something like that...)
  17. it was always just forced... gay... drop it.
  18. Well, after looking at Helu's recruiting page, there isn't any evidence of him being looked at as a linebacker. He played mainly the offensive side of the ball, and was rarely seen on the defensive side (if at all) and I would guess that coaches were recruiting him as a running back as that's what he was projected at and played at. My guess would be that if he was told he was going to be a linebacker, he would probably transfer. http://nebraska.rivals.com/viewprospect.as...mp;pr_key=49784 Also, Okafor isn't a lock at all, he's a soft verbal right now and has publicly been shopping around at other schools. So who knows what's going to happen with him. You can never have enough running backs. So yeah, you might be a little crazy. That may be..... Helu did play safety in H.S., so he could slide over to D.......... that's all I was saying initially, it "could" be a possibility for Bo to consider (keeping that loaded runningback-field in mind). Agreed. Guys forget, all these guys played all over the field in H.S., I can't wait to see the new staff find out the right pegs for the right holes...
  19. "There is absolutely no reason to verbally attack another user (aka flaming), and/or posting a message for the express purpose of generating a negative response (trolling)." ...from 'The Rules' Mods, please explain how this (and lollie's dozen or so other posts) does not apply...
  20. God bless. Thanks for posting. (try to remind all of us every now and then)!!!
  21. trying to figure out your angle... did you actually watch any Husker football in the last few year? ...any game that mattered? How about the on-field progress of the many-star recruits... you are in a very small minority, friend. I'm guessing 'just to get a rise' outta the boys on the board.
  22. Josh Davis! I forgot about Davis when i was pondering if Nebraska ever had a white RB the other day. Rick Burns
