  1. So you're saying I should walk on and become a punter? I can get at least 40 yards pretty consistently with good hangtime...I still have eligibility!
  2. And I'm pretty sure DeMarco Murray and Crabtree are faster than pretty much everyone on Clemson. I don't know what kind of "speed" you are talking about...outside of Spiller who is their burner? We didn't have too hard of a time with the speed of another ACC team...
  3. It will be packed full of Husker fans...however if we can get past Penn St, then we'll have a real great shot at winning the title again.
  4. Well I go to UNL and I'm from the Western Wisconsin, so I get the best of both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and neither of these states have an intrastate rival either. They also have populations to support more than one D1 school, Wisconsin 20th and Minnesota 21st in overall population. I think part of the problem is UW and UM's enrollment, which are both over 40,000 total students. There could be a little bit of a rivalry between UW and Marquette in basketball, kind of like UNL vs Creighton, or between UM and UM-Duluth in hockey, but for the most part these states support the flagship university... which I would rather have anyway, creates better interstate rivalries.
  5. Major is too busy chasing around hot girls on campus to even try and learn the D...can't say I blame him though.
  6. Millard, Papio/LaVista, Elkhorn, and Gretna are all great places. I'm a little biased, but the Millard South area is fantastic.
  7. All D also wins you a lot of games...Look at Wisconsin. Bennett showed it works there, and then at Wash U, and now Bo Ryan is at UW winning Big Ten titles with all D no O. As much as I hate it, it wins games, so its hard to argue with.
  8. I wouldn't say stacked with talent...if he was healthy, he would be starting, hands down. His shooting is pure gold, when you see him play for real next year, you'll be impressed.
  9. I'm pretty sure he was the top WR coming out in his class.
  10. Yeah, but UT lost to TT on the last second play...and had the UT safety not missed a floating INT we wouldn't be talking about this.
  11. Went to the game today, I love the high pressure defense and offense. Sek played real well today, along with Harley. Once Diaz comes, we should be doing better in the rebounding department...and we'll need him to handle Griffin. I really like where Doc has us going, I'm real excited!
  12. I was at the Class A game last night...and lets just say I wasn't impressed. Just a WR bigger than everybody, who has TE written all over him. If we get him to walk on I'd be all for it, however any scholarship offers he will get are tiny D-1 schools, or better d-2 ones.
  13. I have seen a couple great signs this year. One was at the Mizzou-UT game, and there was a Pillsbury Doughboy with a Chase Daniel jersey over it. At the Vandy one, and the sign said, "Phil Fulmer ate my other sign!" The last one I forget where it was, but it was a picture of Borat and it said Erin Andrews...Sexy Time?
  14. As bad as A&M is, I would still like to point out that Sherman did coach an NFL Playoff team...granted one of the all time greats was his QB, I don't think Bo should get paid more than him.... PLUS A&M has wayyyyyyyy more cash to burn than we do... But Sherman was also GM too and the players he wanted along with his crappy coaching ran them into the ground(I'm a bitter Packers fan about the Sherman years) A&M is loaded...helps when a ton of your alumni run oil companies.
  15. And add in that every Big XII team runs some variation of the spread, so that increases the yards. I like where the defense is going though...
  16. I wish Gilmore would teach our WRs to not fumble....
  17. I throw to Brooks like crazy in NCAA...slot receiver, always open.
  18. and the field goal flip came from LSU. The power of the hat is strong in this one...
  19. I am both sad and amazed. But I think more sad. Please tell me there are some students out there that "get it". I get it, I went to LSU my freshman year, and I've been at Memorial every f'ing game since I've been a student here at UNL...only left early once, and that was this year against Mizzou. And I sold my ticket so there won't be an "empty seat" Is that not good enough for y'all? Some of y'all just always need something to bitch and moan about
  20. They changed it since I've been a student here, all of 4 years. So when I sold my CO ticket to another student, he got his ticket validated for his girlfriend instead of using mine because of the rule change. And to caveman, what is ridiculous about this is the fact that all this blame is heaped upon the students when there were just as many open seats around the stadium...the West stadium had spots all over it. But I'm done with this topic , I'll be graduating in May then I can join the bash brigade against the students...
  21. This has gotten way out of hand, and they are all blowing it way out of proportion. What Sherman doesn't realize is that we can sell our ticket, however to have someone who isn't a student use it, we need to be present with that person in order to validate it...meaning the non-student has to pay extra in order to use that ticket without a student ID. Which is a big pain in the ass if you aren't going to be in town during the game. And to judge based on the Colorado game is ridiculous...its Thanksgiving! Lots of kids will be gone, and it happens year in and year out that time. I've sold my ticket, but I'm sure a lot haven't, or won't. I realize how lucky I am to go to the games, and I appreciate every second of it.
  22. He donates, he just doesnt flaunt it and slap his name all over his donation.
  23. I am a student as well, and I could care less whether other kids are there or not...I'm at the games and that is all that matters. I still get chills everytime I walk into the stadium, and I go hung over as well. However, the ticket office made it hard to sell a student ticket with the validation, and having to be there when doing it...just a bunch of red tape to sell your ticket. And I'll be gone for the Colorado game, because I am an out of state student, but I sold my ticket so someone else can enjoy Husker football...
  24. And Blackledge and Patrick were commenting at the end of the game that Bo has "it". They were saying you don't know what it is, but you can see it in a coach...they were saying Nebraska will be back. So they do say positive things, you just have to actually pay attention.
