  1. From his words about the visit to Flo, I would think that if they want him he will do backflips... most certainly agree, he is Florida's if they want him.......girls, beach, great coaches....they got it all. And no Poly tradition. Couple that with the fact parents want him closer to home and we will likely benefit from distance for once. I hope so. we really need this guy. If I were him and wanted to be on a great team right away I would go to Florida if they really wanted him. They are stacked and will be competing for NC's for the next few years. While Nebraska the jury is still out on if they can even finish with as good of a record next year as they did this year. But if he really wants PT and help out building up a team for the future Nebraska is the obvious choice.
  2. Visiting Florida this weekend. Florida will be pushing him hard to commit, wont be surprised if he does. But if he doesnt I think we will land him.
  3. 25 is my guess Ankrah(I HOPE) McBurse Burkhead A DT WR/DB/LB
  4. isnt one of the linebackers and early enrollee
  5. whoa slow down there slick, are you trying to say Bill had a gameplan
  6. Seems like one heck of an athlete with his size and speed. I am guessing he wont redshirt next year if we are still short on DB's so good pick up.
  7. This kid is a very good athlete. But I hope he doesn't think he is the next Reggie Bush. Reggie had every thing handed to him, great Oline, QB's, WR's, etc... around him to make him great. Also Bush was freakishly good, once in a lifetime college athlete. Tennessee has really nothing on offense outside of RB's now.
  8. So Bo isnt visiting him today? What the fudge any truth to this? http://www.goupstate.com/article/20081207/...0297/-1/psports RB Jarvis Giles (6-0 180) of Tampa is down to a final two of Tennessee, the school he once was committed to, and USC, the school he nearly committed to following his official visit in November. Giles said Sunday he's no longer considering Nebraska and canceled the in home visits with Nebraska coaches set for Sunday. As of Sunday afternoon, Giles said he is undecided between the two with his announcement set for around noon on Tuesday. "Both of them are tied," Giles said. Giles met Thursday with USC coach Steve Spurrier and running backs coach Robert Gillespie. Friday he was visited by new Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin, running backs coach Stan Drayton, quarterbacks coach David Reaves and athletics director Mike Hamilton. "They showed me cut ups on a DVD of Reggie Bush and the offense they are going to run and how I would be a big factor," Giles said. "They were telling me just how much they would use me. Coach Reaves was telling me how much they need me. He said he wants a ring, a championship ring, and that's why he left, and he wanted to be with his brother-in-law." Giles said he was called Sunday morning by Drayton. As for what will be the decisive factor for his call on Tuesday, Giles said, "How comfortable I am with the school." Giles said once he makes his decision, he won't tell anyone until his news conference.
  9. Uh didnt Eckler recruit Cody Green? also I dont see him decommiting, he has fallen in love with Nebraska.
  10. Get someone like Gus Malzahn, he was the OC at Arkansas and had the offense with Darren McFadden and company. Basically invented the wildcat offense. also his offense at Tulsa this year is really good.
  11. Cant say I would be that disappointed if he left.
  12. I think we land this kid,Pelini will be the last guy to visit him and hopefully blows him away.
  13. Just give me Rex Burkhead and Giles or Bruse and i will be one happy fkn husker.
  14. espn says he will announce Tuesday Come aboard Jarvis
  15. nvm found it anyways, i was looking at USCe recruiting class this year and last year and if he wants to be a featured back his best shot is here as there are 2 solid rb committed to them this year and 1 last year. He can probably come here be the #2 back and flash his skills
  16. On the Giles thread, it was posted that Giles has us and USC “neck and neck.” While McBurse would be a very good pick-up, would the coaches be willing to trade him for Giles? If Giles goes to USC fine... in my opinion McBurse is the bettter of the two... we will take both if possible i believe... but i say by far the better player is McBurse I would take both, let them battle it out to see whos the back up and let the other red shirt with Tray.
  17. I believe it was his only offer. Good pick up for Frank.
  18. He apparently is going to commit to a school some time with in the next 2 weeks. He graduates this month and will enroll early where ever he goes. Final 5 schools include Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Kansas, South Florida, and Purdue.
  19. I have heard around 25 guys this year. I assume that the staff is "saving" spots for guys like Ankrah, Charles, Heimuli, Burkhead, Giles, and McBruse. I dont think we pick up all of them but safe bets are on guys like McBruse, Ankrah, and Heimuil from what I have heard. What other positions do they recruit?
  20. We will still pick up 1 more WR imo anyways, another guy for the future who can redshirt next year. Look for Martinez, Matthews, Omigie(long shot since we were late in the game), and Charles (I think we almost have no shot).
