  1. What else would have done. It was 4th and 12. Punt. Earlier the announcers were saying that kicking there was a bad idea because it could get blocked and only puts us up by two scores.
  2. Guys, I don't know if we should kick this. it puts us up by 16, which is still two scores.
  3. Holy sh#t. I actually agree completely with something Ed says.
  4. Who gives a sh#t, in my opinion Wisconsin should have killed Iowa and that wasn't the case. Score doesn't really mean much.
  5. Ed Cummingham, learn the f'ing game please. Someone fire this douche.
  6. PSA: We have yet to play well in the first half. Quit being so surprised. Everyone sit down and drink a beer.
  7. We're supposed to be a top 10 team. Purdue is doing this to us, at home. Doesn't change the fact that Purdue has a decent offense. Have you watched college football ever? Ratings don't matter. I'm more upset with the fact that our offense isn't scoring every possession, which is where Purdue is actually garbage.
  8. Purdue has a good offense guys. Offense needs to step it up.
  9. Remember last week when we had the "worst announcing thread"....I think it's worse this game.
  10. I'm confused. So based on the calculation, each player is worth about 1/180th of the revenue?
  11. Member when we had the best weight room facilities as well?
  12. And Minnesota. Have you seen MN play this year? ISU has a better QB.
  13. Except 2016 NW is better than 2015 NW. 2016 Indiana is better than 2015 Indiana. 2016 Wisconsin is >>> 2015 Wisconsin. Minnesota seems worse this year. I don't think the two schedules are nearly as similar as people are alluding them to be. The only similarities you can really draw between the two are the fact that to-date both teams are/were undefeated against a relatively weak schedule. I'll agree with you that the Win over Pitt was a bigger deal than the win over Oregon this year. What are you basing this on? In 2015 NW went 10-2 in the regular season, including a win over Stanford, with losses only to Iowa and Michigan. This year NW lost to Illinois State - beating Stanford >>> losing to Illinois State! You're on drugs if you think NW is better this year. Indiana came within a TD of OSU and Iowa, and took Michigan to double OT. Their defense seems to be improved this year, but their offense has dropped several notches so overall the same team. Not sure I'm ready to say Minnesota is worse than last year yet, I think they are pretty similar. Maryland is about the same. Illinois and Purdue are still Illinois and Purdue. I'll grant that Wisconsin is better than last year but NOT by a huge margin - they are ranked higher than last year primarily because of the big jump they got from their upset win over LSU and then their win over MSU. Problem is LSU is not even close to the playoff contender they were advertised as preseason, and MSU is awful this year. Obviously teams differ from year to year, but overall I think the schedule is about the same, again with the exception of that trip to Columbus. Since both schedules included all the same teams in all the same places, trying to argue that Nebraska's 2016 schedule is tougher because you think all the teams are better this year is really a stretch! Sorry, I'm not buying it. Ok, I'll just say what I really mean. Iowa is trash this year. Minnesota and Rutgers are both god aweful teams, and they gave Iowa a fit. Iowa is going to get dominated by Wisconsin this week. But I also don't think Nebraska is as good as we appear this year either. We're not consistent. We have a struggling O-line, and we take a lot of risks. Risks that we've needed to take in order to win. With that said, I think the talent at Nebraska is miles above the talent at Iowa. You guys have a stud CB, an OK QB, and some other notable players. Barring injuries, Nebraska should have zero problem man-handling Iowa this year.

  15. I think he is just anti-nebraska. His latest column: http://btn.com/2016/10/17/buy-or-sell-undefeated-nebraska-is-a-mystery-at-6-0/
  16. Yeah, our sched is definitely tougher. Iowa did win in Camp Randall though. (I had to look that up, btw. And I was surprised to find out they beat Wiscy on the road. LINK) This years Wisconsin is much, MUCH better than last year. Oh, Badgers this year are maybe a little better. But last year's Badger team was pretty good. Only three losses. Bama, Iowa and an inexplicable loss to Northwestern. I wish people would realize that sh#t happens in college football. If we beat OSU, it will be considered an inexplicable loss. If Bama loses to anyone, it will be considered an inexplicable loss. If we lose to anyone but OSU and WI this year, it will be inexplicable.
  17. I also agree. We've played a very weak schedule thus far, comparable to Iowa's entire season last year (although they did show up for Wisconsin). We'll have to bring our A game to beat Wisconsin, and we'll need a miracle to beat OSU. Regardless, Iowa is a dumpster fire this year. If we don't beat them, I'm moving to Canada.
  18. Iowa is trash this year. They could still beat us, especially on a cold, November afternoon, but they are still garbage.
  19. I love that quote by TA. I hope ESPN keeps on laughing as we keep on winning games. This team hasn't won anything that is noteworthy or anything that proves they are "real" yet. Wisconsin will be the first testimate. With that said, TA makes a great point. All that matter is winning games. Say what you want about the guy, he has an extremely healthy mentality.
  20. Agree. Those that have paid tribute to Sam have shown lots of class. Gone above and beyond. Doesn't reflect poorly on Indiana, though. What does reflect poorly on Indiana is their fans booing every time we had a player of ours go down hurt.To be fair, Maurice wasn't hurt. He was tapping his helmet to get subed after the previous play. He went down on purpose. This. He was tired from their tempo offense. The guy is out of shape.
