  1. I realize that those that want Pelini won't listen, but I have to wonder if he is really the total answer here. I think it would be great to get him as a DC, but wonder about him as a HC. But then I don't really know who I would want at HC for sure either, just know that BC is not getting it done. Maybe an outsider would be best at HC...I don't know. I don't want to see the offense suffer because Pelini is HC, and I am afraid it might.
  2. They must think that 2/3 of the country is interested in seeing how bad this team has gotten. Course, the last couple of times I have caught Texas on tv, they didn't look anything like they did last year, either. Maybe the next rule that college football needs is a "mercy rule", where when it gets so pathetic you stop the game.
  3. Nebraska will NOT win another game this year...that is my prediction based solely on what I have see the last three weeks, not what I would like to have happen. This team is sunk.......
  4. A seven-year old boy was at the center of a Douglas County courtroom drama today when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
  5. If this is true, it only goes to prove that BC and company are in it for the money, not for the kids as he so proclaims. My personal belief is that BC never gave a crap about the tradition at Nebraska, and takes all of the fans of the Huskers as complete idiots. And that thinking has spread to kids like McKeon, who goes around shooting off his mouth about how he is so much better than former Huskers...when he can't do crap on the field. This type of behavior from a few on this team has really turned my stomach and made me sick. I have been a fan of the Huskers since I can remember remembering anything... I remember on Saturdays growing up in Harvard how everything would come to a stand still while the game was on the radio or tv. We are coming really close to losing that feeling for this team, and it is about time for someone at the university to take notice. They have not only let the coaching staff ruin this team, but in the past have allowed the boosters to influence decisions that were "anti-fan" and "pro-booster", especially when it came to stadium improvements. Their money is appreciated, don't get me wrong, but it would be nice to see more seating for the average fan. I have to wonder, for each additional seat that was actually added to the stadium during the last up-grade, what was the cost if divided by the whole amount that it cost to do the upgrades? The days when Nebraska football meant so much to this state is coming to an end, I am afraid. That saddens me greatly. It has become big business and politics. So, I am very skeptical when BC says he is here for the kids. More likely, he is here to rake in what ever money he can before he totally ruins what is left of this program.
  6. McKeon don't deserve consideration to be drafted...he is way too immature and hasn't done crap on the field. He is a loser....
  7. I have to be honest...I hope the Jayhawks do win the north at this point...it would be a good thing for them, and it wouldn't be Missouri, KState, or Colorado....
  8. Did you believe, before it was public knowledge, that Callahan would call Tom Osbonre a crusty, old Fu@k? Things aren't always what they seem. Just goes to show you these guys are so damn self-centered...nobody is as good as they are.
  9. this horse has been beaten to death.
  10. If we go 4-8, this will be the worst Nebraska football team ever. I would say it is very possible.
  11. Sorry, but I trust TO's decision on what's best over yours. About time someone does something other than sit back and watch while this program self-destructs. Even if it means getting rid of a few coaches. That is his job....these coaches have become ineffective and it is time for them to go...the season is OVER. Okay..do you have the answer for why we are going to have no qb's with experience next year? TO is not god...and those of you that think he has all the answers are full of it. TO was a good coach, that don't make him a good AD necessarily. He can be criticized just like anyone else. It is a mistake to think that one person has all the answers...and if you want to think that way, then you are in for a long long dry stretch, my friend. I don't see how BC bringing in a kid LAST YEAR has anything to do with TO. Putting the blame on TO for having Keller is just silly. I am not saying that TO has all of the answers, but I agree, he has a lot of knowledge and had a good AD running the program when he was coach so he may have some wisdom. Could BC put Ganz in, yes, but that is not TO's call....he is the AD. It don't...UNLESS he makes some changes and starts giving some of the younger players a chance to get experience....then he will be culpable. Like I said, this season has become a failure...there is no rescue for it. It is time to look to the future. I sure am glad you're not in charge. At this point...Barney could be doing what BC has done. I am glad I am not in charge too, I think this has become a problem bigger than any one man can fix....including TO. I respect the man for risking his reputation, but those people out there that think he is going to miraculously turn everything around overnight...they will be disappointed. This is going to be a project that takes more than even the next season to fix. And we will probably have a new AD before we see any of the success that we have in the past. This isn't only a coaching staff problem....it involves the players too. And the cut in the number of scholarships has made it tough on all the powers in football....as seen in all the upsets that has taken place so far this year. We may never know what it is to have back to back championships again...unless there are changes in the NCAA...and I don't see those happening ever. We have to live with what we have, but we have to influence what we can. By playing some of the younger players, we can influence their level of play in the coming years. Your right, this isn't TO's decision....but I bet he can sure influence it. It's not his job to influence coaching decisions like that.

  13. AMEN...that is what I am talking about, brother!! The few idiots are really stinking up the place.

He can be criticized just like anyone else. uh....what has Keller done lately? What is our record? Couldn't be much worse. This team will not win another game....anyone want to take a bet? Why not give the kids some experience. The Keller Experiment is a failure....we should never bring in a player for 1 year. It is a mistake to think that one person has all the answers...and if you want to think that way, then you are in for a long long dry stretch, my friend. And you propose playing Ganz or Lee the rest of the season?
  16. You have balls of solid rock, sir. I admire your ability to criticize someone who has been on the job less than 1 week. I am just saying that it is time for change to be made....and it needs to be now rather than later...this whole program is open to criticism right now....and if they don't do something soon, we will be talking the same crap next year, just with different coaches and players. I will be the first to admit that I have become very negative....but look around, where is there any positive...and unless we start getting some kids ready for next year, there will not be any then either. It don't take a lot of balls to see what is going on around here....just open eyes.
  17. I was wondering...have we had a worse team in recent years? Not sure what I would define "recent" as....and I know that we have had some stinkers. But the more I hear about this team, on and off the field, I have to wonder if it is the most immature at least, if not just the worst team in recent history. Where are the leaders on this team? I have seen zip for leadership from either the coaches or the captains/seniors on this team. I think TO inviting players back was a good first step to get someone in there talking to these guys, getting in their heads with the way they should be thinking....but I am not sure that this team is salvageable this year....and if we are not careful, next years could be at risk, too.
  18. Blowing off steam is one thing, but when you are playing like sh*t, you have no room to be talking down someone that has proven they have what it took. Right now, I am very disappointed in the lack of leadership this team has, from top to bottom.

  20. If I was playing the way these guys are...I would hide in my dorm room. They have no class what so ever....if all this actually happened...and I don't have too many doubts it did for some reason. These guys heads definately aren't in football.
  21. TO said that no change would be made until the season is over...it is OVER!! There is no team that we play this season remaining on the schedule that we can beat. Since the season is OVER, please feel free TO to make change.
  22. I have been saying all along that it is a mistake bringing in a kid for one year. We are going to be without a QB with any experience next year, and no matter what the intent, that is wrong. BC is not only throwing this year down the toilet, he is throwing next season down also. IF TO is hell bent on not making change until next year, he is as guilty as BC when it comes to answering for why we don't have a QB with any experience next year...not the new coaching staff. This season is pretty much done...there is nobody that this team could beat this year remaining on their schedule. It is time to clean house, and start getting the younger kids ready to play NEXT season.
  23. Hell, my emotions are getting to me....alot of anger issues...lol. Welcome back.
  24. All this would be good...but I for one am not looking forward to all the speculation that will take place if Bo don't or can't do anything until january.
