100% agree. Frost is an excellent young coach who was a NC qb here. Do what you gotta do TO/Bo.....grab him! Frost and Bubba S are 2 peas in a pod, neither one is coming! Somebody didn't have there Jimmy Dean breakfast this morning. I have high hopes for the future of Nebraska football. TO, Bo and Company are looking out for the best interest of the University. They got rid of the dead weight and reloaded it with new life and fresh ideas. The Big 10 is a uncharted territory so I am sure they are doing there homework on the new hires.

Well, if that is the case I would say that he's probably a safe hire. I used to always give Watson the benefit of the doubt but after last season anybody would be a safe hire. It sickens me to think that with just a little more spark/play calling on offense we very well could've been playing in the NCG. It's time for change, I'll embrace it

By university policy they have to "post" it. So then where is the job posting for LB coach? One likely possibility is that they have one posting for multiple positions. That might be why they make the job description so vague. The defensive one could have applied to any position on the defensive side of the ball. Same with this one for the offensive side. I think that's probably what's happening here. Brian Christopherson just confirmed what I suspected above. I think they only post these when they already have chosen someone. That's what happened when they hired Bo. That appears to be what happened with Raymond and Ells. And I heard this evening from a good source that Bo already has his guy (not Frost or Beck). So your thinking it will be Jason Phillips or Ed Warinner? I would be very surprised if we didn't get Frost to be honest. Not necessarily, but those are the other names we're hearing. My friend told me that Bo already has his OC, that it is the guy he wanted all along, and that it is someone outside of the program that isn't Frost. Interesting...If your friend mentioned a name what did you think of the possible canidate?

Yeah. . but I bet its filled by tomorrow night or Sunday morning. Remember these coaches don't need a week or two to think about things. They know with in 30 minutes of the offer if they're going to come 99% of the time unless they know there is a counter offer and its toss up. I think pretty much all the guys he's talking with should have had their minds made up before he officially got to speak with them about schematics. Sure a few things have changed because of circumstances and requests but I don't think any thing other than ego would change the job they were being asked to do from the beginning of the contact. FWIW, that posting isn't for the OC "per sey," it is eerily similar to the one for the defensive position, and I don't think that Carl is going anywhere. But, do either of the 2 of you have any idea what is actually going to shake down, ie, who's gone, who's coming in? I guessing their will be 4 hires, one announcement when this is all done. We already know Raymond is on board, Els looks like a lock for the LB job. So that just leaves the offensive staff to fill. I believe Bo already has his guys he wants. I guessing Monday or Tuesday this thing is pretty much wrapped up. I hope you're right. I just want all these coaching rumors to be put to bed already. I don't know what went down or who wanted who to leave but it just feels dirty. I am probably way off base but I get the feeling Bo drew a line in the sand and said this is the direction we are going. A few coaches were left standing on the wrong side of the line. Bo gave them plenty of time to find other gigs and save face. Times up and now Bo has to start plugging the holes. My only question or concern why is it taking so long? If the coaching changes are happening I would guess the wheels started turning after the bowl game already.

The timing is awful, especially if Scott Frost is coming over. I have several Duck Fan buddies, and they're up in arms over the rumors in Eugene that Frosty is headed back to Lincoln. They are (justifiably so) upset that Frost had a hand in the recruiting of several players, only to bolt afterwards. They're upset that players may reconsider their choices to Oregon (which they can't after the LOI is signed, but whatever). Bottom line is, they're pissed we may come "steal" Frost from them. I really, really hope we were up-front with all of our recruits about what was going on. If not, it looks bad for us. I am sure between Bo and To that everything was put on the table for all the recruits to see and know. I don't think this situation is as complicated and unknown as many of us seem to believe. Bo runs this program like a group of navy seals. They are a tight knit/tight lipped group who eat, train and sweat together. As much as I want to be in the know and a part of that close family it will never happen. I would bet every new recruit, player and coach knows exactly whats going on and what direction they are going. But I still want to know what the hell is going on and when. So, I am still confused.. ..what the hell is going on? Did the surprise already happen? Bo is still our head coach, overall great signed recruiting class, T.O still the A.D and we are still heading to the Big 10. Life is good...right?

I get that he told me what was going to happen-he said two coaches are going to get let go. But as for those two that still remains to be seen and he really didn't drop any hints on to who that would be, which is why I asked. There are 3 coaches that I could see getting let go. ...and Amen. I thought I was the only on here. Nobody told us anything so far. Nice enough to explain? Explain what? Apparently you don't don't know enough that all of the assistants contracts run out in Feb, so they had to wait for this month to announce any changes because TO doesn't believe in firing anybody. Chew on that for awhile. I chewed on it and tommy likey tommy want wingy.

So let me get this straight. Somebody knows something but nobody really knows anything. And we are all going to have to wait until tomorrow because the people that know something don't want to say anything. Fair enough!! But the people that claim to know something all seem to agree. This news is Big!! and EXCITING!! So that is good enough for me. I too am excited and giddy. Why? I don't really quite know.....yet. Thank god for good ole' Husker Board. This off-season would blow without it.

I laughed out loud at the thought of Bo saying something like that. Don't get me wrong I like surprises and big surprises even more. Bo is pretty tight lipped when it comes to his football family. A big surprise...I doubt it would be a coaching change. Maybe a new tunnel walk song
