No actually that would be located in the more sports/NCAA section of the board if you want to get technical. i agree "technically" you could be right but rumorville does say this "Rumorville: Hirings / Firings / Retirings / COACHING CANDIDATES / What Ifs..." at the top of the page and many did consider him to be a candidate at one time, so I WIN!!!!!! just giving you a hard time!

we were pretty desperate when we hired him, and now they are desperate. i dont think it is TOO far of a reach..... You could do a lot worse. He is one heck of a OC. i dont think the guy is the best coach in the world or anything, but they have to be getting pretty far down on their list at this point and it is probably starting to look like they will have to take a d2 guy or a callahan type guy.

now that would be funny after nutt was like our 2nd choice but we ended up slipping to choice number 6 or whatever. and now they have offered 5 different coaches after nutt resigned , so it only makes sense that callahan is next in line.

OK, I can see him as the best receiver ever in the NFL but College? He wasn't even drafted high coming out of college. It amazes me that People can't make these best ever list without using NFL career biases. yeah but look at the guys stats in college, they were unreal, especially during that time period.

you are correct that stars mean nothing about where a kid can get but it does mean a 5 star is currently better than a 3 star, meaning a 5 star is a potential d1 starter as a freshman and a 3 star is possibly a backup or a redshirt. i would personally rather have someone that can start right away and make him the better player, because unless the lower rated kid excels a lot faster, then the 5 star will be more developed by his senior year. and no it does not always work this way, but at least 8 out of 10 time it does work this way. which would you rather have?

Man I sure hope not the Chiefs are my favorite team and I like Tampa Bay too.. Dont need his a$$ screwing them up too!!! Chiefs have enough problems!! I can't believe the Viking's were trying to hire COZ last year. They seem to be turning the corner now and I don't need Callahan any where near them either. I will say he does know his x's and o's, just needs someone else to put them in at the right time. GBR!!! now i would be very angry if the chiefs hired coz, but i would definitely take callahan as OC. the chiefs have the right talent to run a WCO, not the bs they are currently running. plus its not like he can do too much damage when he is not the HC. i say if the chiefs want him, then give him a shot. they cant be any worse than they are this year. by the way, i do not like callahan, but i am smart enough to know that the guy can coach some offense.

this is just a big pet peeve i have, but it was crusty old "fart" not what you are saying. go back and look it up from the original postings that talked about it, or read it in the book.

i believe we beat V. Tech. i am thinking that they lose 6 starters on D. and a couple on O. and their D has been their strong point, by far. i could however see losing to MU, but i think it could go either way. we will then likely lose to OU, which sucks, but they will be good.

Don't sell ESPN short, UGA man. They really ARE dumb. No, what is really irking people here is the mathematic impossibility of Bryant catching and then passing TO in a matter of several days. The lead at one time was upwards of 20% for TO. If you're correct in that each ISP gets only one vote per day, that lends even more credibility to the argument that there are some shenanigans going on with those percentages, since it would be nigh on impossible for Bryant to suddenly acquire that many more unique votes than Osborne in that short of a time span. The reality is that if they wanted to have this little poll have any credibility whatsoever, even the vestiges of credibility, they would isolate ISPs and allow one vote per, period. Instead they encourage abuse of their little voting process and you get tihs situation, where people are launching macro blasters to pump up the votes. So yeah, ESPN really is pretty dumb. But what else is new? i was going to say, it is extremely easy to trick a computer into letting you vote more than once.

um....people have been posting about this since last night.......in RUMORVILLE!!!!!!!!!!! sorry but this isnt a romor... um...yeah it is a rumor until Tom Osborne come out and says it himself. tell me, will this have been a rumor if on monday Turner Gill or Brian Kelly is introduced as HC? think about it, you are probably one of the people that is always talking about how much of ESPNs stuff is untrue or not fair or whatever. i know i dont believe it until TO has said it so it is a rumor.

Yep, not thrilled if this is true, I think Nebraska can do better. i agree, people arent going to be happy about this in a few years, IF, this is true.

im kind of curious on that myself.
