Haven't seem a third quarter roll like that in a long time, everything clicked together. 2 years ago we would of won (maybe), last year it would of been a 7-10 point game. All around a good sign we are heading in the right direction

Most of 'em get the flu by just thinking of heading north of the Mason-Dixon... Miami is not a Southern team. They just happen to be south of the Mason-Dixon line. If he did, what has been posted on this, and other boards, then it sounds like he was given a lot of chances. He might of been given private treatment, and there was the unannounced trip home. I am sure he was warned. The one thing I think we are missing is most of these kids are warned and never punished. We only have to look at Pius X, when there entire basketball(?) team was caught on the roof of the school, nothing happened. These kids with huge talent are coddled all through high school, and in college. I think Bo finally dropped the hammer, I think it shows a ton of backbone on Bo's part, and it send a strong message to the rest. I am sure they will put up with some messing around. These are kids, on there own for the first time, they will make mistakes, but once they reach a certain point that is the end.

I agree, it might have Helu a little off balance for a while, but these kids will bounce back. It always seems someone steps in to fill the gap.

I'm soooo sorry! We should automatically believe any random stranger who posts the most outrageous things here with absolutely no evidence whatsoever. Chalk me up as another that thinks HuskerJenn is wrong on this one. The "most outrageous" thing turned out to be true so obviously it wasn't all that outrageous. Only discussing things that have been posted on a newspaper website makes for a pretty dull board. If someone knows information that person is a source and can say what they know. They shouldn't have to wait for only sources that work for the newspapers sites to post it before they can comment on it or disclose what they know. And leaving the board open to every single rumor that is heard turns this place into Rumorville, which really soured some people on HuskerBoard a couple of years ago. HuskerJen was absolutely correct in her assessment here, and the OP has NOT been shown to be true. The guy claimed Castille failed five drug tests. There has been zero proof that he failed five drug tests. We can all speculate, but until we have evidence to back it up, it's just another rumor. How hard would it have been for someone to post that Q was kicked off the team for his fifth street racing bust? Or his five hundredth alleged parking ticket? Or anything else? And what, you're going to believe it, without proof? Or is Q getting kicked off the team proof that he has unpaid parking tickets? Fact is I WAS RIGHT about him being off the team, 24 hours BEFORE anyone else. That doesn't mean I am right about the drugs but my track record on this so far is 100%. IMO Bo will not throw the guy under the bus for it. If not law was broken he can say whatever he wants. But answer me this, what else would he be KICKED off the team for, I for one would not think it was for 500 parking tickets. Also unpaid parking tickets would be a lgeal matter, open to anyone with the time to find out. Someone failing a drug test, while never being caught with drugs is not a legal matter, it is for the NCAA, UNL, and the Team to enforce. So your arugment is not valid.

I dont expect or need an apology. I understand the want/need for some sort of confirmation. I CANNOT and WILL NOT give out my source. I am sure the Athletic Department knows this was leaked. Bo hates leaks, and I believe has fired people for leaking info, so for me to tell the source would be foolish, weather it was in the Athletic Department, Coaching staff, or local Media. My loyalty is to them not you. When I heard the news I found it important enough to share, and I know the insulating factor between this post and the source is enough to keep everyone hidden. As for being call a Troll, I know I dont post often, but I have been on this board for almost two years, so I dont like being lumped in with people like that. I too lived through the last days of Peterson and Cally. The posts from IBR, wild rumors and such. In fact I was wrong in a post I had back then that I thought was "fact". In the end we all found out about an event on the team almost 24 hrs before any local media reported it. Take it for what it is worth.

For the sake of argument, let's just pretend the initial post was correct, mentioning the number 5. How many chances do you give someone who has repeated the same offense five times? I have no idea if that's true, but if so, I'm glad some rules are enforced. No player is above the team. For the sake of argument, mentioning number 5, I'd say it depends. If it wasn’t something public and not inherently dangerous I might keeping levying harsher penalties on him with no specific limit. Eventually he would become educated. Or spend the whole season running stairs for an extra hour per day then doing his homework outside my office until I drove him home and tucked him in. Sure, at some point, I guess the situation could not be handled behind closed doors. From what I heard, he failed the tests over the course of the last year of so. Bo tests more often than the NCAA requires and you are right in the thought of giving harsher and harsher punishments. The Unity council voted last night after practice to boot him. The younger guys wanted him out and the older guys wanted suspension. Again take it for what it is worth, this is all I have heard. The number 5 was given to me, I don't know if that is correct or more in the context of "like five times".

The Huskers are coming to Laramie in 2011. And yes I think its a little crazy that our AD was able to get a program like Nebraska in our stadium along with Texas coming to town this year. I thought that game was going to be played in Denver
