  1. 6-6 Not acceptable 7-5 Getting better but theres still a knot in my stomach 8-4 I'm happy with this and things could be turning around 9-5 Its a some what progress but its no different than going 8-4 10-3 2003 team returns from the dead and fans are happy again (Pelini was DC in 2003) 11-2 Haven't seen this in awhile. We're heading in the right direction 11-1 This is what I'm talking about baby 12-0 or 13-0 I'm creaming in my pants cause we're National Champs I honestly think that we'll be 8-4, 9-3, or 10-3 with Big 12 win this year
  2. I'm not 100% positive, but I think it was in Bo's spring press conference were he said "I told the players if you don't beleive we can win every game this year then you don't belong on this team." I'd say he has a little higher goal then 6-6. I'll steal what Bo had to say but I'll re-word it......here it goes "If you don't believe that we can win every game this year then you don't belong on this message board!" I'm sorry for being rude but I believe in this team and that's what this team needs from its fans is to believe in them. If we have confidence in them and they'll have confidence in themselves knowning that we believe in them. If we're pumped up cheering, they'll be pumped up ready to play. Lets light a fire under their a$$es and lets get our team PUMPED UP. GO BIG RED
  3. The way Mark May talks about football is nonsense most of the time. I think Baseball talk would fit him better than football or joining Pudd at Pittsburg.
  4. After work I tune my radio to 1620 so I can hear the Unsportsmanlike Conduct show and they brought up a topic that really ticked me off. This topic was also talked about on the HuskerPedia BBS forum: Not sure if anybody caught College Football Live on ESPN last night, but they did a spring preview. Desmond Howard filled in for Coach Holtz. NU was not featured (which I can understand) but they did read an e-mail question from a Husker fan - How will the Huskers do under new coach Bo Pelini? Mark May answers that due to an easy non-conference schedule, NU should be able to win 6 games - 3 non-conference and 3 conference games. Reese Davis just laughed and rhetorically asked, do you think Husker fans would be happy with that? May said "they should be." Should we? Given that Stoops was 7-5 in year one at OU and Pete Carroll was 6-6 in year one at USC, is 6-6 and a bowl game in year one for Bo Pelini satisfactory? from C Brown on HuskerPedia BBS IMO I can't stand Mark May and Kirk Herbstreit because they have nothing nice or good to say about Nebraska and Mark should do MLB instead of College Football. But He said that Husker fans should be happy with a 6-6 2008 Season. But we've had two 5-7 season in the past 4 years and Tom Osborne said it himself when Callahan was our Coach that a 6-6 season is unacceptable. I would disagree that we would be happy with a 6-6 season because thats not what Nebraska is all about. Nebraska football is made to pound the football down the opposing teams throat and with a very Dominant Blackshirt Defense. I think that we'll have a 8-9 wins this season guaranteed. GBR!!!!!
  5. I agree. Callahan knew Keller well before he started coaching at Nebraska. Keller transferred to Nebraska because after Taylor we would need help at the Quarterback postion since Harrison Beck left. Everybody knew that Keller was going to be the starter. It wouldn't make any sense having a guy transfer to a school and to not play at all when arriving at that one school.
  6. Ummm I would agree but he only had maybe two interceptions that came down to hurt us, one for sure against Colorado. But I would take Ganz's 16 TDs and 7 INTs against Keller's 14 TDs and 10 INTs any day of the week.
  7. You know what, if I was Ganz I would be talking smack too. Callahan brought in Zac Taylor because he didn't believe that Ganz could do it.....same thing with Keller. Don't get me wrong, I thought that Zac was one hell of a QB but Keller is a different story. To be honest Keller was a joke and he proved it. Ganz played for only three games and did better than Keller did in his first three games of the year. To me that's a slap in Callahan's face saying that Ganz should've been the starter and for not believing in his players thus why we had a sh*tty year. Ganz proved that he could do a lot with the football and very few people had faith in him. I was one of those people who wanted Keller to start way before the 07' season ever started. But once Keller was choking and threw interception after interception, I wanted Ganz to take over. Even though that we lost the Colorado game, I thought that Ganz had showed us his mobility where Keller lacked and his throwing ability. Ganz is one hell of a QB. So i'm glad that Ganz is saying all of this.....he's trying to prove a point that saying "Ya I can lead this team and be an outstanding Quarterback!" Way to Ganz.....you deserve it.
  8. Thank you for the clip I really enjoyed watching it. Like your name by the way, Swift is going to be a BEAST this season.
  9. Dont be jumping to any conclusions, please read mine and huskerguy's comments above. This whole thing just sounds too fishy and the guy who got attack could be charged for false reporting when he told the cops that Josh hit him in reality he did not.
  10. Right now on 1620 Brian Munson is talking about the Josh Williams incident and there are I guess a lot of inaccurate facts being tossed around in newspapers down in Texas coming from a source to some one close to Josh Williams. I guess this person that was attacked by Josh was close to Josh and goes to the same school with Josh. And Josh DID NOT punch the victim cause there was a third person involved too. Sounds fishy to me. And why would someone be counting money in their truck???
  11. You had one good year in football so I wouldn't call you a powerhouse at all sports................we'll just have to wait and see if you guys can beat us in our house next season and I'll always lean towards doubting that. I agree with you BIGREDIOWAN. Fans got to realize that they have to do that year after year to be a big time powerhouse......Kansas, Mizzo, Illinois take some notes from Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma. Kansas did win a NC in Basketball (it's about time, during March Madness you guys play like Oklahoma does in the Fiesta Bowl, you choke) but it doesn't mean that you guys are a powerhouse in other sports. Nebraska not only is good in Football but our Volleyball team is good as well as our Baseball team. Our Wrestling team is improving and so is our Basketball team. Take Notes
  12. They have Dan Hawkins ranked way too high
  13. I heard that Blake Lawerance committed to Nebraska because Mark Mangino refused to share his chicken with Blake at a KFC in Kansas.
  14. The first time I saw Keller throw the ball I was like "What the F*** was that?!?!?!" I really hope that he does good in the pros cause Nebraska hasn't really had a good QB go pro in a long time. So it would be nice for Keller to represent us even though his days at Nebraska wasn't the greatest.
  15. F---ing A Cotton.......F---ing A TWO MORE SATURDAYS.......CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If I remember correclty isn't there 11 players on both sides of the ball? So why is just Bo and Corey the only ones being blammed for the poor performances of our 07' defense. Our front four were brand spanking new. I watched every game that was televised on TV and I went to the ISU game and not just Bo and Corey are to blame here because everybody on our defense was TERRIBLE. We had a lot of miss tackles and the only player on our defense that stood out from last year was Crixby. I couldn't stand Crixby last year but this year he was outstanding and a very much improved player. I don't know where you guys are getting this crap where Bo and Corey were pulling themselves out of the game because they were afraid of getting hit. Didn't Corey play most of the season injuried (Ankle?) and Bo had his arm broken a few years ago before a bowl game (Bowl game against Michigan or Auburn I think it was Michigan). When people break a bone sometimes their not the same person after that injury for instance look at Matt Herian. Matt didn't have that speed anymore like he use to. I think that Coz really is the big blame here cause COACHES COACH PLAYERS. Coaches are the ones who suppose to get into your faces when your not doing your job right and motivate players when things aren't going their way. I think that after the Wake Forest game is where everything started to go down hill for the players. I think that everybody on the Defense is part of the reason why we sucked so bad but the #1 reason is that Coz couldn't motivate our players or change anything during halftime or during a game.
  17. Michael I agree with you 110%. If we do bring back the option from what that article had stated, I think that we should use the option a few times. Cause it seemed like we used it a lot with Solich and the more we used it the more our oppenents grew accustomed to it. It's like they knew before the snap even started that we were going to run the option. I think it would be wise if we threw the option in there every so often to keep the opposing team on its toes guessing.
  18. Actually if we add more seats and our new capacity would be 90-100k I can actually see the consecutive sell-out still going strong cause there's a long list of people waiting to get season tickets. I'm on the list and I would love to get season tickets as well as everyone of you on this board!!!
  19. You know what would really look nice.......if they would make the east side of the stadium exactly the same as the westside of the stadium minus the box seats. I love driving on 10th street and just admirring the westside of the stadium with the new look with the windows and the two big N on the front with the flags below. I like when your walking the streets and they have that new entrance on the westside and everything. If we had the exact same thing on the other side minus the skybox, it would look sweet and it would add more character to the stadium. The only problem with the eastside is that you have to worry about keeping that main entrance the way it is when/if they add on to the eastside. I hope everybody knows what i'm talking about with that entrance which is direclty behind the statue of the football players talking that one player.
  20. http://journalstar.com/articles/2008/04/08...22795958160.txt Sorry the Link icon above wasn't working for some weird reason. I posted the link of the webpage that talks about the option returning to the Husker offense. I really miss the option but IMO during Solich's days of coaching I thought that the option wasn't that great actually. I just seemed as the years went on, it seemed that everybody was stopping our option and that Solich couldn't do anything else for our running game. I just miss the old option back in the day. So I'm really excited that they're bringing it back and hopefully Watson's group will bring back the old domination of the option package. So are you all excited about the option returning as I am? Also in the above link they talk about Cody Glenn doing really well at Linebacker forcing a fumble in practice, getting an interception, and recovering a fumble I believe. Sounds like Cody is picking up the Linebacker postion pretty well so far
