OK smartass.....I did read his freakin bio first why do you think I posted this thread in the first place genius???? Here is Brian Kelly's Bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Kelly_(coach) Now here is Paul Johnson's Bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Johnson_...football_coach) All that i'm saying is that this is Brian Kelly's first year as Head Coach for Cincinnati and if he can prove that he can have another winning season year after year at Cinci like Paul Johnson has done for Navy than yes, we should be looking at this guy then. Some coaches just get lucky their first year like Weis did with Notre Dame and now look at Weis now.....ummmmm

That both Brian Kelly and Turner Gill should have one more year at their previous Head Coaching spots to prove to us that they are for real. I just decided today after talking to my family and friends at work that if we do get Turner Gill for HC, I will be behind Turner but I still think that he should stay for one more year to see if his team gets any better. Right now Buffalo ended their season at 5-7 and if he stays at Buffalo for next year and goes 3-9 then we'll know that Turner needs more time. And whats all of this talk about Brian Kelly, just because he's taking Cincinnati to a 9-3 record doesn't mean crap. I'd like to see what he can do with Cincinnati next year and the year after that. Just because a coach had a good year doesn't me that he'll do it again the next...prime examble is Bill Callahan with what he did last year and now this year he's looking for another job. People jumping on Paterson, Kelly, Levitt bandwags are only doing it because they had a great year for their first year. Guys give them a couple years to see what they do before jumping on that bandwagon. I like Paul Johnson because the guy was a stud at Southern Georgia and now is a stud at Navy (with four straight 8+ wins a year).

How come everybody has to bring in race comments. Oh we didn't hire that guy because he's black......sh!t give me a break.

I hear you on spending way too much time on this board. Hell right after work I skipped working out to sit my ass infront of this monitor for 4 hours listen to 1620 the zone and reading threads on this board and on the LSU boards. I truely believe that BP got the job but thats just my opinion.

And there is no sign of a coach like there was going to be one. So does it look like there will be a day 2 in the interview process and what time will that start tomorrow since there is a player meeting which TO is suppose to show up at. Ummmm this is getting interesting and very aggravating at the same time.

Experience: Turner: Has two years under his belt and is turning the program around but needs to improve to a winning record. Has lots of experience coaching at Nebraska as a quarterback and receiver coach. Pelini: Has zero experience but has been in the game for years. Has experience has a defensive back and linebacker coach in the NFL. He has five years of experience in college football for DC Character: Turner: Is a quite young fellow and has heart and passion for what he does. Pelini: Gets way into the game but players will run through walls for this guy. Great Motivator Walk-on program Turner: Understands the importance and would bring it back if hired as HC Pelini: Understands it as well and would bring it back if hired as HC Excellence, Tradition, Winning, and Competing on the Field Turner: He's improving at a weaker college but is improving. Will continue the tradition that he was to went through. Pelini: Wins everywhere he goes and provides a well quality product on Defense. One of the best Defensive minded coaches ever. Forgets that he's the coach because he gets into the game. Will continue the Blackshirt Tradition as he once did at Lincoln. X-Factor. Who has it? Turner: Once a player and a assistant coach at Nebraska. He talks to TO about once a week and are the greatest friends. He's known TO for many many years. Slowy improving as Head Coach at Buffalo Pelini: Will bring back the intensity and domination that our beloved huskers had in previous years. Proved to Husker Nation that he can win a bowl game as a head coach. Has had coached defenses ranked in the top 5 year after year. Is owing people every year.

I would like to see Bo Pelini but I would love to see Paul Johnson more than Bo and Turner.

This just in the plane that had just left Lincoln to Baton Rouge and thru Atlanta is on its way back to Lincoln and will meet the runway at 8:18 tonight.

Does this mean that TO has found his man and will be introduced to the teammates tomorrow during their meeting or will there be another plane departure tomorrow. This is very interesting.

Just think about it....the players are having a meeting to meet the new coach to calm everybody down and to keep a lot of players from transferring. It makes a lot of sense and I could see Bo wearing a Nebraska hat come tomorrow and he'll get everything straightened out with the recruits. Bo Pelini was the first one to get an interview....they interviewed Bo Pelini first because he's the #1 coordinator in the country and that Nebraska wanted him before everybody thats why they are going through this coaching search process so fast. I believe that Bo is already the man and he'll meet his crew come tomorrow afternoon.

How do you know PJ hasnt been contacted? Maybe he has been and was not interested. Because I believe in this article about Jim Grobe they mentioned that both Brian Kelly and Paul Johnson have not been contacted. If Paul was contacted we would've known about this by now. I can see this turning out to be another Bill Callahan and Kevin Cosgrove friendship relationship. Even thought Gill won't destroy the program like Bill and Coz did but I could hear Husker fans saying "Of course TO will hire his buddy Turner Gill." I have faith in TO's pick and IMO I think that it's Pelini since Pelini was the first stop. You always go to your first pick for the interviews and i'm pretty pissed that Paul Johnson hasn't be contacted by TO. GO BIG RED
