What are you guys talking about with this Mikey Bo song.....it was horrible when they did it for our tunnel walk this year. I was glad to see it go back to the introduction of three players talking about Nebraska football and what it meant for them.

For those of you who are picking on Bo Pelini and the way he's handled his defense for the past 3-4 games are the ones who are in favored of Tuner Gill. Ummm lets take a look at Turners defense and his record which is 4-7 ouch. Turner Gills defense isn't near as good as Pelini's and at least Pelini has coached in three big College Football programs. I'm in favor of Bo Pelini as head coach but I'm still leaning toward Paul Johnson (7-4) for what he's done at Navy even though their defense isn't that great as well. It'll be interesting for the next few days for the HC job at Nebraska.

I could see this being true to be honest. Does anybody know that Bo Pelini was in Bob Stoops wedding I believe as his best man maybe but he was in Bob Stoops wedding. They did go to the same school and stuff. So I can see this being very very true. And out of all of the these coaches talk....why was Bo Pelini the only one to be in the Omaha World Herald with a huge ass article. Bo Pelini is getting more talk than Turner Gill because Nebraska fans want Bo. I think that Bo Pelini can bring back the Husker spirts in his first month with the players....easily.

Ugh....Turner Gill bad choice....we'll be in this very same spot if we get Turner Gill as HC....Not enough experience and is the current HC for the worst college football team in history.

We will have a new coach by next year for a few good reasons. If we weren't going to get a new head coach then TO would've said it right off the bat when he was hired as interm Athletic Director. TO has been evaluating BC ever since he was hired as AD and now he said that he won't make a discission until after the CU game. But with TO evaluating BC after the CU game pretty much indicates that BC is gone....remember that TO used this same method while coaching. If you fumbled the ball in pratice or you didn't run the route right that he would deduct points from you. He's using that same technique on BC and I know that he's been doing that to BC ever since the Texas A&M game. C'mon people smell the roses, BC will be gone after the CU game whether they win or lose. He's already distroyed this program and his record and performance isn't National Championship worthy. He's made several rude remarks to fans and especially to TO and you guys think that BC will stay, hell he's not even making an effort to keep our recruits still interested in NU. TO has already made his discission on a new coach and i can't wait till Saturday when they announce that new coach....please be Bo Pelini or Paul Johnson.

I just recently signed in on the Tigerdroppings.com LSU message board to discuss coaching questions and stuff and this is how they reacted toward a Michigan fan and myself. If Billy C pulls something outta his ass and pulls off this win in Boulder and if we were invited to a bowl game, who will coach the bowl game for Nebraska if Bill Callahan is fired come Nov 24th? Will it be: A) Bill Callahn will be the Coach for Nebraska because TO believes that a coach should finish what he has started. B.) Shawn Watson will be the interm HC for the bowl game. C) The new HC for the Huskers will start right away for Nebraska. Honestly IMO I believe that Bill will coach the bowl game no matter what happens whether he gets fired or not after the Colorado game. I'll support my answer by saying this, if TO has made us wait for the end of the season to examine these coaches that he'll make us wait till after the bowl game to bring in the HC even though he as already announced the new coach after the CU game. But maybe Shawn Watson will be the interm coach for NU for the bowl game from pay backs back during the Solich Era but I couldn't see TO doing this to hurt this program and players anymore. Any Thoughts?

Expect CU to do a lot of trick plays like we did to them last year in Lincoln.

I appreciate what you just said up above and I hope that we are appointed a new coach. But I'll be rooting for Kansas because I think that Kansas will have a better shot at beating OU than Mizzo will and plus Mizzo has already played OU. This is a first for Kansas and it's great to see them do this and they've never done this before where Mizzo has been a good team for the past 3-4 years.

I agree with you 110% because Nebraska Football is the heart and soul of this state and when people act like this, this whole state is being judged by one bad apple. I'm like every Husker fan out there, I'm getting frustrated with this season and this coaching staff, and the lack of heart that some of these football players provide. It's common sense and inappropriate to act in such mannor when your favorite team is down in the dumps that you have to make death threats.....WOW get a freakin life. It's not over, Husker football will be back better than ever next year when we have in state walk-ons, a new coaching staff, and a better record. It aggravates me when i hear sh#t like this because I wear that "The Greatest Fans in College Football" on my sleeve because I'm proud about our football team, our tradition, our loyality, and our fans. Some of the Husker fans need to grow up and look ahead to brighter things to come. Tell your friends, relatives, girlfriend, or co-workers to address fellow Husker fans to adjust through this difficult time and be the best fans that a college football team like Nebraska deserves. This season as been a total nightmare and these fans acting like this isn't making this season any better. And for those of you who talk crap about Colorado, Kansas, or Mizzo fans are the worst is college football are pretty much eating your own words because right now, WE ARE NO BETTER. You don't hear their fans yelling at the players or their fans calling in death threats or picking on the coaches players. I know it's only a majority of people doing this on our program but it makes us proud husker fans look like crap too when we are trying to show the title "Greatest Fans in College Football" for the state of Nebraska. Grobe wouldn't be a bad choice because he does know how to run an offense but it's hard to recruit people for Wake Forest and they are in the ACC hello. I'm not to hot and heavy for his previous years as a coach but he seems to be doing better each year at Wake Forest. He's #3 on my list for HC for next year Peterson won't leave Boise State because of what he has done last year and this year. And Boise State is in a week conference and IMO I don't think that Peterson will be the right choice. Joe Glenn is from Lincoln, NE and IMO I don't think that he'll be a good choice because of his previous years at Wyoming but then again it's hard to recruit people for Wyoming and they are in a weaker conference. But Joe Glenn did go 39-6 at Montana.....so maybe he could be a good fit but I don't think that he will. Sarkison ummmm NO!!!! Paul Johnson would be a hell of a Coach for Nebraska. Just look at what he did at Georgia Southern and now at Navy. His first year at Navy they went 2-10 and after that he's had a winning season and their offense is freakin INSANE. This would be a excellent choice for Nebraska. Paul Johnson is #2 on my list. Brian Kelly doesn't really have a bad record at all. He did pretty well at Grand Valley State and is now turning around Cincinnati. He coached the bowl game for Cincinnati just like Bo Pelini did for us and he won but I don't see Kelly leaving this year to go coach for NU next year. He's turning Cincinnati around that he'll probably stay there. Jim Levitt.......please, this guy won't leave a school that he's rebuilding right now. He's doing good right where he is and he's a native to Florida I believe. Turner Gill.....boy doesn't every husker fan love this guy but you know, he just doesn't have the coaching experience yet like these other candidates have. I like Turner Gill as a player and I know that he has here doesn't mean that this is the perfect place for him. Let Turner Gill stay at Buffalo a little bit more to gain more experience and knowledge of the game before making a huge leap to NU. Love the guy but not the perfect fit just yet. Muschamp I believe will stay where he is but i'm not to excited about this guy as our head coach but maybe as our DC. He fires up the defense but I don't think that he'll be a good Head Coach because I don't know what he would bring in as his OC and DC. Bo Pelini what can I say about him.....umm lets see he was loved here at Nebraska, has Nebraska ties, Motivates players, Sticks up for his players, #1 Defense in the nation, has been an outstanding coach at NU, OU, and now LSU, Everywhere he's been their Defense as always been in the top 15 or top 10, will bring in a good OC and DC guaranteed, Mike Stoops as DC since they are real close friends. OMG i'm bogasm right now. He will be our Head Coach next year because he's getting more hype right now than any other candidate and is the hottest DC on the market. Bo Pelini is my #1 choice.

Now remember guys, Texas played against Iowa at the Alamo bowl last year and Iowa was 6-6 last year and they went to a bowl and lost to end up 6-7 that year. I'll be honest with you guys, I voted No mainly because I'd hate to see our defense play like crap. The only reason why we beat KSU so bad is that is was senior day and it was about our players and it wouldn't surprise me if Shawn Watson was calling the plays. I would love to see us beat Colorado and making it to the bowl game but I'm just more worried about our defense than anything and to keep our bowl streak active at 2 years in a row, 3 years in a row if we make it this year. Believe me I want us to make it to a bowl game but I just don't think that'll happen but we could only hope. I want us to kick CUs ass so bad so that we'll make it through this season at 6-6 but I don't think that we'll get a bowl bid. I listen to 1620 about everyday and they had a debate on this and both Mike and Kevin agreed that if we beat both KSU and CU that we wouldn't make it to a bowl game. Now some people are saying that we would be in the Alamo bowl with a crappy big 10 school. Lets see here there is Indiana, Michigan State, Iowa, and Northwestern which all are 6-5 with Purdue at 7-4. Now out of that list I can see us beating Indiana and Iowa maybe Northwestern but we couldn't beat Michigan State or Purdue. Whatever happens in the next two weeks will be interesting. Not going to happen. I was watching espn news yesterday and they were talking about Bill Cowher. Bill Cowher had told sources that he'll be taking another year off to spend time with his family and that he'll probably be another NFL head coach.....geezzz, doesn't anybody watch the news???

I was reading some topics at Huskerpedia.com about this and just think about it....Baton Rouge had an article about Bo Pelini as NU possible coach for next year. And Billy C didn't even respond or show any emotion to the NU fans when they were congratulating them on their win......seems a little weird. Maybe this is true.

Who cares about Gabbert....he's been out pretty much this whole season. We still have great talent at QB and when we get Bo Pelini as our head coach we'll get a lot of people to come back to us.

Reading this just got me FIRED UP to hire BO PELINI. BRING BACK BO! BRING BACK BO!! BRING BACK BO!!!

We are "The Greatest Fans in College Football" without a doubt. We are talking about teenagers who are bad mouthing the sons/daughters of NU Coaches. I went to high school and kids in high school are IMMATURE and one day they'll grow up as adults and have a whole different perspective on life. We can't just rule out the "The Greatest Fans of College Football" because of some high school students. That's just crazy and nonsense. A few weeks back we had fans yelling out at our players telling them "You Suck" or "You shouldn't were the N on your helmet." Ok I didn't really believe this then and I still don't believe it now for 1. Only two players heard this umm ok 2. Our fans would never say that 3. Security is very tight in that area believe me...I couldn't even take pictures in that area because of security. 4. Purfiy was one of the players getting harassed but isn't he one of the most popular players on the team??? And lets say this is true because the media had a coverage in the newspaper about it. I highly doubt that a Nebraska fan for 10 years or more would yell this out. Don't we have a student section not too far from the players bench. And if somebody did yell something out I wouldn't be surprised if I was a student and our STUDENTS attend this University and they represent this University and have all the rights to speak up for their school and players. I don't think that it's right for students to behave in this behavior but their the ones paying to go to this school not me. I'm a die hard Nebraska fan and it breaks my heart to hear this type of news and I just want to wake up from this nightmare. I hear about it at work, on my myspace page, and from my family members who aren't Husker fans about the bad stories you hear about Husker fans. I've watch Nebraska football since 1992 when I was in second grade and every year after that I wanted to get more involved in Husker football and I attend about 3-4 games a year. I went to the Big 12 game last year and all of the OU fans that approached me told me that they were glad to drink beer with a great husker fan. Husker fans our loyal and respectful to other people whether isn't during a football game, after a football game, or after the season is over. Husker fans are great to everybody 24/7 365 days out of the year and I don't want to ruin what we've got because of stories of some stupid high school students harassing coaches children. I'm the type of fan that I won't rub in a lose to other college football team because I wouldn't like some fan from a different school rubbing in a Husker lose. I work with a guy who's a Notre Dame fan and he gives me sh#t every Sunday when Nebraska loses but when his team loses I won't say a damn thing because I know what it's like on the other side. I did talk to this fellow person about the Navy vs Notre Dame game and I told him that I only watched that game to watch Paul Johnson coach his players and to see his offense. My cousin attends K-State and she gives me crap about our poor fans yelling at the players and crap and I remind her that there will alwasy be one bad apple to ruin the whole patch. WE ARE THE GREATEST FANS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL whether you want to believe it or not. Don't let this stories or any other fans from different schools tell you different because we know what we are like before games, during games and after games. We welcome other schools into our playground with pride, respect, and class. KEEP THE FAITH AND GO BIG RED.

Paul Johnson as our head coach with his past experience as a head coach at Navy and Georgia Southern OR would you rather have Turner Gill with his past two seasons at Buffalo. For example would you rather have an experience carpenter build your house or go with a guy with limited experience building your house. Now picture that house as Nebraska's football program and that experience carpenter as Paul Johnson and Paul is brought in to rebuild our home. Paul could come in and rebuild this program from scratch and turn this offense around. He did it with Hawaii and now he's doing it with Navy. He puts in an offense that fits the players and talent. Paul has won 2 National Championships in 1-AA Division and now comes to Navy to turn their program around and guess what.....they beat Notre Dame this year for the first time in 43 years. I don't care if Notre Dame isn't good this year.....did you see the way Paul reacted to the win and his comment after the game....great coach and he sounds like another TO when answering questions. Turner Gill was a great former player and he's a great coach for Buffalo but he'll need MORE experience in order to take this program back to greatness. I feel that if we go with Turner Gill we'll be right back where we are now to be honest because I don't think that Turner Gill will do it. And if he is appointed as Head Coach and he disappoints a lot of people i'll say "I told you so" but if he proves me wrong I'll dress up in all Colorado apparel to work.

Joel Makovicka was by far my favorite Nebraska football player. His ability to keep pounding the rock when he was getting tackled and to bulldoze thru defenders. I think that Joel Makovicka is by far the best fullback to ever play the position for Nebraska. My number in high school was #45 because of Joel.

Turner Gill will be the Biggest mistake ever...worse than Bill Callahan. I know that Turner Gill was an amazing player but do i have to remind you that he's coaching at Buffalo....BUFFALO. Coaching at Buffalo and Nebraska is one huge giant leap and I don't think that Turner Gill will be the right fit. He may keep the tradition going, he may fire up the players, he may have played for NU in the past, but I don't think that he can get us back into the NC hunt. If Gill had coached at a big time school like OU, LSU, USC, and so forth, then we should consider hiring Gill if he turned their program around. I'm rooting for Bo Pelini for what he's done in the NFL and what he's accomplished at NU, OU, and LSU. But I'm feeling more love for Paul Johnson and for what he's done for Navy for the past 5 years, 6 years if you're counting this year. Paul Johnson as a better record at Navy 37-25 than Jim Grobe does at Wake Forrest 37-35. But that's just my opinion and we are looking at a great list of possible coaches to coach at NU....TO has one tough job to accomplish.

I visit Huskerpedia.com about everyday and I happened to read an article about Simi Kuli and why he choose Nebraska over LSU and OU. Well anyways they were talking about why he choose Nebraska and this is what TO said Kuli made his commitment to Athletic Director Tom Osborne more so than he did to Bill Callahan. According to Kuli, Osborne told him that "there were going to be some changes in the coaching staff." Exactly what Osborne meant or if it was even phrased that way, who knows? Asked to clarify the athletic director's words, Kuli stepped back a bit. He said he knew nothing for certain about Callahan's future. Now after reading these two paragraphs makes you wonder whether TO has already found a replacement HC for next year or Callahan will be here next but with a different DC or/and other new coaches. But after reading about some of our recruits decommitted because of the future of Callahan makes me realize that Callahan won't be here next year because they know for a fact that Callahan won't be here and that Simi Kuli know's who our new HC is. I know that Callahan is gone because 1. The recruits are decommitting 2. The fans can't stand BC 3. The boosters want to buy him out 4. People want him to resign 5. He's destroying our football program.

That's a rumor that you heard....move it to the rumor board lol just kidding. I don't think that was true for the fact that Bo Pelini had a interview with Yahoo Sports on Oct 11, 2007 and all he talked about was coaching at NU and wanting to be a Head Coach. There was nothing in that interview about bashing NU 03' players or his bad experience at NU. Just to let you know

I think that TO will be our AD for the next three to four years. If you watch his press conference the day he was announced as our AD, both TO and the Chancellor both said that TO could be there for a couple of years to get everything all together and moving again but they didn't guarantee anything. But if you read between the lines, IMO I believe that TO will be here at least 3-4 years and our new AD. IN TOM WE TRUST
