I knew something was wrong watching the second half of the USC game. I was hoping it was minor and would be fixed. The Ball State game was then the solidifier for me that something had to change with the staff because they weren't changing anything that was going on on the field. By the Missouri game I had a feeling we were in for a veeerrrry long season. Then watching that game made me want to puke. Thank god those days are over and I can breath freely now. Just looking forward to Next season. GBR!!!

That's what I was thinking too. Yep he was, but I kind of thought that if TO came back he would get the boosters who were ticked about Pud leaving would come back too. I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Plus maybe Cook found out what was really going on inside the athletic dept, and not just the football field and changed his mind. That's ok, glad he's back and got the checkbook open hopefully. It was reported that TO spent time in Cook's box during the A&M game. Eric Crouch and Johnny Rodgers were there as well so I'm sure that helped smooth things over. Man must have a big ego that needed tending. And because of his money they were willing to tend to it all he needed. I definitely think he was getting a one sided story from pedey, as said before, and all that he probably needed was the whole story.

I happen to agree with Perrault. Bo will be Nebraska's Waterloo. I may be wrong but I think iot will go down as a huge blunder that will have people wishing for Callahan back. People will never wish for Callahan back. Never.

Let's just say it would help him to get in the door some places that Nebraska might not beable to with a white coach. Some parents might be more open to listen to him. I don't think you just hire a coach just because he might get the best recruits, otherwise you might as well hire John Blake. I don't think anyone is saying that we should hire TG because he could help recuiting. They're just saying if he was hired would it help. I think it would help to some degree but there is also a chance that it could actually hurt because we all know that there are people out there that are still racist and might not want their kids playing for an African American coach. I personally wouldn't want those kids anyway but there is always that possibility. By no degree should that be a reason to hire a coach and neither should having the BCA breathing down your neck saying there aren't enough African American coaches. The decision should only be made from coaching abilities ( that includes on and off field abilities).

I have been thinking that same thing since all the talk of his pay has come up. It seems to me that the only reason he is there is because he is a symbol of the university. I would say these days his assitants probably do most of the coaching.
