  1. As usual, you make no attempt at dialogue. Actually, I've posted more of my own words in this thread than you have.
  2. If you in any way think that this building isn't a direct attack on America by "the Muslims" (one homogeneous body) then you're an "oik" who hates America and Americans? Makes perfect sense to me.
  3. Who is at the front of the line in each of these 2010 practice photos?
  4. :clap :clap We need a standing ovation emoticon. Well said, sir.
  5. Chicago-style, no question. I just made some utterly fantastic deep-dish pizza Friday night. Best pizza ever. Seriously.
  6. We are not going to have the same discussion in two threads. Please continue this in the other thread. Thanks.
  7. This team has shown a terrible propensity to coast in the first two matches. We visibly let up in the third yesterday, and we let up again in the fifth when we went up 11-7. There isn't a team in the nation that we should be giving up 8-1 runs to in the fifth set of a match, no way no how. After 11-7 we had two or three hitting errors and several bad passes. Give Florida plenty of credit for playing lights-out, but this loss was more about what Nebraska didn't do than what Florida did.
  8. 25-25 in the third set isn't a great time to wake up, but it's better than never.
  9. I'm pretty surprised about this. I thought we had these slow-starting matches out of our system last year. Florida is playing really well, but we're also giving them far too many easy points. Shocking, so far.
  10. The same fans who stand up and applaud the opponent as he leaves the field win, lose or draw, shouldn't have to ask why America is one of several societies in the world where tolerance and benevolence are the name of the game. Really, little bit of a difference between a football game. So did you stand up and applaud the terrorists after 9/11 Yes, that's exactly what I was saying, that we should applaud terrorists. That whooshing sound you heard was the point flying right over your head.

  12. If Cody transfers anywhere it'll be to another position. He's not leaving the team.
  13. Locked until validated. If it's not validated, there will be consequences.
  14. Let's not forget what really happened. The majority of those personal foul penalties he got at NU were incorrect calls. The tackle vs. Baylor, the hit against Tyrod Taylor two years ago, several others that I'm not recalling immediately, were judgment calls that most likely shouldn't have been thrown. As bad as this hit was, let's not rewrite history.
  15. He definitely should have gotten a penalty for that. That was way uncalled for.
  16. I take it you're new to football. You could stand to bone up on what makes a program successful before commenting next time. You clearly have no clue what you're on about here.
  17. I knew it was just before a loss. Good job, Land.
  18. Definitely in-season. I think just before a big game, either VA Tech or Missouri.
  19. I just saw the headline about this and remembered this thread. I'm shocked. This is not the type of behavior I would have expected from Washington. I will definitely see him as innocent until proven guilty. Not saying this woman is lying because I don't know... it just doesn't jive with what I've heard about Washington.
  20. Big Willie laughed about this a page or three ago. Rumor was that Martinez had left the program on that mysterious day, and just a short time later he was rumored to be the starter. Now that rumor is gaining momentum daily. Funny how the rumor mill works. There is one good thing about this whole QB debate, though. We're one week from the season opener and I have yet to see one thread asking, "When will Bo give out the Blackshirts" around here.
  21. The bottom of the article says that there are no arrest records or court filings with Washington's name on them. This has to be a class thing, or a team rules thing. I'd be surprised if it was a legal issue.
  22. Agreed. Preseason polls are so much guesswork. We don't even know who our starting QB is going to be at this point, so saying we should be #11 is a stretch. There are similar stretches to be made for every other team, even teams returning most of their starters. I just did mine to precipitate conversation, but overall, they're pretty silly. I'll guarantee that at least one team I put in my top ten won't be ranked at season's end. How's that for worthwhile?
