  1. I think you guys are severely overrating. Last week Husker fans were on top of the world thinking that they would roll the North and were the favorites. this week you would swear the team has no talent and will lose out. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems and nothing is ever as good as it seems. I can assure you Neb will not lose to ISU. Congrats on the win today. Can we PLEASE have your option attack!!! Ah, the good old days, student body right, student body left and a cloud of smoke.
  2. Well, I can't top that, so, thank you for the very level headed post. I am already feeling better, GO BIG RED!!!
  3. Yeah, granted it wasn't his 1st start, that was three games before at Mizzu in which we won. Then had two very big games in a row w/ Colorado (Nu won huge, was at that game, Tommie's 1st home start) and against KU. Again NU won that one by a large margin as well. Then there was BLACK SATURDAY, the game at Iowa St. For some reason we wore the all white unie's (that has never been good luck fo us). It was a very weird game in which we lost. Anyway, we all know how that story ended.
  4. No one is calling quits after 1 game. Remember when we played VT and MU and the offense couldn't score to save their life? Our offense needs a LOT of work. They look terrible and they've shown almost no progress over the past few weeks. If this continues then this is going to be a long season Maybe your not, (have you been reading all of these posts?) but some definately are putting the nail in the Husker coffin as if this season is over and it is not. Thats all I am saying.
  5. I think some Husker fans, myself included, started believing that this could be the year Nebraska starts to shine again. I mean the VT game was in our grasp, then we beat Missouri....it seemed like we really were turning around. Obviously, there were offensive problems, but I thought we were learning as we went and would play much improved this week. I was wrong. I think that's why it seems like meeting our "realistic goals" is disappointing. GBR. Uh, TO didn't have a realistic shot at a National Title until after how many years as head coach (around ten to eleven). He was owned by OU in the beginning, It took him 20+yrs before he won a National Title. What really are you all expecting, it used to be that we were proud of the fact that we won 9+ games every year. We can still easily do that this year! Now it seems as if that is not good enouph, we are still a good team and this season is far from over!!!
  6. A F&^%ING MEN!!! It is amazing how many people are calling it quits over one game. Six losses, lay off the . Anyway, we will be fine, TT was better than we thought and are offense does need some work, but jeez people.
  7. Maybe Lee sucks because Watson sucks. Ever think about that? And don't forgot about Cotton. He sucks too. Let's face reality. The whole team sucks. Clownahan might as well be back. Cosgrove too. The WHOLE team doesn't SUCK!!! Our "D" is pretty f%$^ing awesome!!! Problem is they don't get backed up by the Offense and it does SUCK!!! Some of the stuff being said on here over ONE loss is pretty sad, I am just as disappointed as all of you, but we can still have a VERY good season. We could still win the North, hey Kansas is just as susceptible and we can still beat EVERY north team. Granted the Big 12 title game may not be much fun if our offense doesn't staighten out. Hopefully, we who want Green to get his chance are right and it will be the spark our offense needs.
  8. Yeah that INT Green threw was really nice. Right to the defender. He's worse than Lee and Lee is horrible... That's a bold statement considering Green has barely played this year. He was having to throw all the way because we were down big and had little time left. Their D knew what we were having to do, so they just sat back and waited for the throws. Some have VERY short memories, when Tommie Frazier came in his freshman year, our offense before him under Mike Grant was VERY lethargic. Tommie and Co. even lost a "gimmie" game against Iowa St. Yet, it gave our offense a huge lift most of they way and they were a diferent team (on offense) under him. I don't see what it can hurt to give Cody Green a chance to start, he looked way better in the pocket today than Lee did and he has played very little.
  9. No offence, but the D set them up almost everytime inside the 15yd line. Two of those scores were because the O was set up very nicely by the D. Probelm is, no matter how great our D is, they can't be expected to do that every freaking time. By the way, yes Green made some mistakes but he showed great poise in the pocket. Given more chances I feel he will be great, Lee had his chance and in every big game he hasn't done well. Granted we came back in the fourth quarter of the Mizzu game, but again, that was ALL because of our defense giving (because of two INT's) the O a VERY short field to work with. If not for the D doing what they did against Mizzu in the fourth quarter, we probably would have lost that game. It never was because Lee was so great that he engineered such spectacular drives to score 27 unaswered points.
  10. Granted it won't matter, but if Green goes down the field and scores again, Bo should be kicking himself for not putting him in earlier.
  11. Oops, double post, my computer is melting down as much as I am!
  12. If Lee starts the next game I swear I will f^%$ing punch my grandma and shoot the dog!!!
  13. Not a chance, he has done NOTHING to prove he can really play in a big game.
  14. Not a chance, he has done NOTHING to prove he can really play in a big game.
  15. Zach Lee is a pu#$y, he could have easely ran for the 1st down.
  16. My wife doesn't even like to be in the house if things aren't going well for the Huskers. Had a friend over to watch the Mizzu game with me, I warned him ahead of time that I am VERY passionate!!! Needless to say, during the first three quarters of that game I kind of scared him . During the fourth quarter I was going crazy, even he was rooting for the Huskers (I think he felt if he didn't he might not get out of my house alive ). Speaking of TO and his emotion, you never knew he had any. No matter what happened he was soooooooooo stoic. Whether things were going good or bad, he seemed to always have the same stone face. Actually, I really respected him for that, he always showed such class. Now, I am not saying Bo doesn't have class at all, it's kind of cool to see him get so fired up. I seem to remember Bo pitching his head set at the end of the VT game, he was PISSED! Anyway, they are two very different personalities TO and Bo, love them both for who they are.
  17. Isn't the big 12 winner tied into the Fiesta Bowl? Usually the loser can go to the Cotton, we did a few years back when we played and lost to Auburn.
  18. Eww, who wants to have a game day in Lawrence.. that's like saying your surprise birthday party is at your grandmother's house. Ha Ha good one - the KU stadium doesn't have any outlets to plug in the cameras! Ok, Ok, Maybe not the best idea. Was thinking just about the exposure it would bring, forgot that KU stadium hasn't had electicity installed yet.
  19. What about us and KU? If Ku goes into that game undefeated and we don't have any other losses, it is going to be a huge match up. Could the Gameday guys come for that one? Go ahead and rip me apart.
  20. Ok, I voted and I voted and I voted and I voted and I voted and I voted ect............................................... He is climbing in the poll like crazy!!!
  21. Of course it's 1st and goal on the 5 yd line and in comes Suh at the fullback position. There stacked in the power I, the give to Suh, he barrels his way in for the TOUCHDOWN. OH MY GOD as he runs across the goal line he stops and strikes a Heisman pose, Memorial Stadium never went so crazy. Honey, wake up, darn, it was just a dream. It wouldn't be smart-but yeah, it would get some attention. Don't hold your breathe-I don't think Bo is into gimmick plays. Oh, I know it will never happen, just having some fun.
  22. If you have a computor, it will probably be on ESPN360, I had to watch the VT game that way and it wan't so bad. Other than the loss of course .

  24. I agree, but none the less, it could very likely happen if VT wins out and the chips fall their way in the polls.
  25. After being kicked around for so long by the media, it's hard to believe we are starting to get this kind of love. Hey, this is why they brought Pelini in, DEFENSE wins championships.
