I'm wondering if even Tom Osborne can fix the Husker football program now that Callahan and company has totally ruined it. My guess would be that he can't. I think the destruction of the program goes so deep that it's going to be a very long time to recover, if ever. This is probably one of the worst teams in 60 or so years and because they have fallen so far so fast it makes me wonder if the Huskers will ever get back on top no matter who the coach is. The tradition is shot, recruting is shot and even the fans are giving up. The program is mortally wounded. It will be tough to get a decent coach in here because of that. My guess is Nebraska will end up being an average team for a long time, pull an upset once in a great while and maybe, just maybe, end up in the top 25 once in a while.

Nebraska in a bowl game? Nothing personal but are you nuts? Who would they play, Southwest Eastern Northwest by North Tennessee State...?

Bull crap on that. When an offense is on the field their job is to score points. Is Mangino supposed to tell his players to just fall down? I don't give a crap if they are the starters, they earned the right to play. I would expect the Nebraska offense to do the same thing if they had the ability. It's not the Jayhawks fault Nebraska is coached by a loser of a defensive coordinator. And if the defense didn't play like crap with their missed tackles and missed assignments, the beatdown wouldn't have been that bad...

Why would he not call people to be the new head coach after firing that worthless Callahan? That's what you have to ask yourself...

If Tom Osborne does not fire Callahan and ALL of the losers on the coaching staff tomorow, then i'll lose all faith in his judgement and credibility. This disgusting abomination of a "game" in Kansas is the last straw. I think Callahan is purposely embarrasing the program because he knows he's history. He needs to be GONE now, otherwise nobody in their right mind would ever want to play at Nebraska ever. They'll probably lose most of their recruits the way it is. Calllahan needs to be fired, pay him whetever he wants, and start from square 1. I don't care if the university has to pay a new coach 10 million bucks a year, it would be worth every dime to get rid of the bum...

Dodger Dogs have to be the most overrated ballpark food. I have no idea how that happened, but I was so excited to try them when I lived in LA and they were actually gross. I couldn't even finish mine. Although, perhaps I'm genetically predisposed to hate those things since I'm a die hard Angels fan. IMO, when visiting that dump of a park they call Chavez Ravine stick to the overpriced beer. Drink enough beer and you won't give a rat's a## about the dogs...
