  1. I have also heard that about Cali. I think he may be all right at OC. He was just a bad HC for a place like NE.
  2. I was really thinking that he is a lot like Craig
  3. I don't want to see Barney go. I think that he is a pretty good coach, maybe not the best, but he fits in really well I think. I really hope that we don't lose any coaches for a few years. It will make the rebuilding process happen so much faster IMO.
  4. I totally agree Junior. I also think that if Thenarse continues to improve in the coverage aspect he will be really really good. He was in the back field on blitzes an awful lot. I think he played well. To get back on subject Congrats to Helu on a great performance and hopefully Lucky will get back on the field for the bowl game he has done a lot for this team. Even O'Hanlon did some good Thenarse is just better.
  5. Beings we are talking about dirty/illegal hits and stuff. I was wondering if Booger baby was crying about the horrible display of dirty bushleague ball that was played against them on Saturday.
  6. Which was supposedly what the Big XII told Bo also pre-game. Kicker moved early and was out of the Kicker's box, position, whatever making the holder now just the same as a QB with his knee on the ground. K, so what if the holder botches handling the snap, the kicker takes off running, the holder secures the ball still with his knee on the ground: is he down or can he get up and run? That depends if the kicker runs out of the box like he is going to make a play other than kicking the ball. I f he is running forward to kick the ball then he is not down. If he is running to the side like on a sweep or something than yes he would be down.
  7. Well, we can't have our cake and eat it too. The play worked vs KU and technically Wesch shoulda been called down on that one too. I was at the KU game so I don't know what they said during the game, but I thought in the post-game they said that his knee was up off of the ground in time. K, well that's different. I'm pretty certain Henery was out of his kicker's box though, he nearly had to dive to catch that thing. You are right he was outside the box and it should have been called in the CU game, but oh well I guess it kind of just blends in to the rest of the season. All I can say is that at least we won it was kind of ugly which a lot of th CU vs. NU games are but we did get the win!! GBR

  9. I am not asking this to put you on the spot, but If we would have made that play do you think they would have over turned it or the refs catch it the first time. I think they would have. IMO
  10. Here are my views from my first 2 posts in this thread. My beef isn’t the not taking of in-state kids; my thing is that there was an outcry against Billy C for not taking a set number of in-state kids (by a group of fans and former players) yet 2 of 18 gets a pass. This may be just me, but I don't think that most of the beef was from the recruiting of in-state kids but the way he handled the relationships between him the kids and their coaches. He shot himself in the foot so many times that he lost almost all of the respect that he needed to suceed here, and lets be honest do you really think that he wanted a long term commitment here I doubt it.
  11. No. One team should get one trophy and another gets 2. None of this Co-North/South Championship crap. The B12 is already being heavily scrutinized about it's tiebreaking methods. I have no problem with the tiebreaking methods. Mizzou gets the nod over us because they won the head to head. Down in the South, what would be a fairer tiebreaking method than using the final BCS standings? If you choose a common opponent they all 3 played, that could be skewed by the team they pick. I think it's fair the way it is now. I also believe that OU is the best team in the South much to the dismay of Texass fans. I bet the biggest Mizzou fans right now can be found within the borders of Texas. What are the odds if OU wins the NC game that we have a co-NC with Texas being the other? I thought that there was no such thing as a co-NC anymore Didn't they restructure the BCS for that reason or am I wrong. Either way it didn't work. The playoff system is looking better all of the time.
  12. Thanks for pointing that out to me I really don't know my way around the board. Well now that you got what you wanted a buch of hits and comments on your subject here. I was just wondering where you sit on the same question? There has been some pretty darn goods points made, and now I am wondering where you sit.
  13. IMO the only question mark should be TU and OU, although I think we would be able to hang with Mizzou now, we still would probably lose. TT would lose again to OU and probably to TU in a rematch but that's all speculation.
  14. I know what you are saying, but it seems as though they always have an answer. OU lost Bomar and they have Bradford step up. Texas has Vince Young, he leaves and now they have McCoy. I just don't see this ever changing. IMO
  15. WTH. You always hear coaches and hell players saying that if you can't get penitration or if you are playing containment, which Potter plays a lot of, at least get your hands up. I really can't believe that they were discouraged them for doing that. Crazy
  16. There was alot or crow being eatin in the bayou this weekend. In what way? Good for BO? I guess, were they bitching about him leaving for N or were they happy? I guess I don't remember them being pissed about it or anything? All though I do think they could have used him this year! Well I would like to think that would have made a difference anyway!! GBR
  17. orly? NU/CU Total yard 291/407 Penalties 2-14/3-15 Turnovers 4/2 Possession 20:24/39:36 Yes, we got lucky at the end. But we won this game in almost all areas except for just a couple blown calls. Saying we lost to them in every way is just being completely pessimistic. I agree we won the game in every way except in the bonehead plays department LOL. CU sucks this year and we played flat footed they took advantage, end of story, oh yeah and we won. GBR
  18. I have said it before and I hate to repeat myself, but I do see this program on its way back to the top. I just love the desire, intensity, pasion, what ever other word you would like to use to describe this coaching staff. I think these guys together are very strong because of their style. I love the way the players have reacted to the way the coaches have...well coached them. They show the same passion and intensity the coaches do, and that is very exciting for me as a fan. As far N being the ones from the North to be able to compete with the south well I hope we will be contenders very soon, but lets hope that we are not the only ones. Competition is why the south teams are so good and we will also need that in the North to be able to continue to make our way back to excellence. GBR
  19. Beings you brought the matchup thing Mr. Guru. I am not disagreeing with you, but at the begining of the season we were way better playing in our base defense, but it seems that we have improved a lot in the nickle and dime which we have spent a lot of time in those packages this season. At this point who would we match up better against though? I guess GT would be mostly if not all base D, and FSU would be probably more nickle and maybe some dime beings they have tried to change their offense from the run and shoot, to more of the run game, but we all know that Bobby has seen us give up huge plays through the middle of the secondary. Just my take I guess I like watching us in our base but do we still have the man power for that?
  20. I think overall we have improved a great deal. I think that with Bo's guidance Carl will end up being an excellent DC. They have made some big strides both on offense and defense. they showed they were able to change up the offense not only a little before the season, but during the season to help match the defense to help them out, Hense the word TEAM, something that we seemed to have forgot about in the previous four years. The defense yes still needs some improvement, overall they looked like a completely different team this year. With, which I hate to say it and mean no disrespect to the players, lacking some of the talent that we have had in the past. This shows very positives signs for the future. Just look at the injuries and other obstacles that this team had faced through out the season, with losing key players and still have found a way to battle through it. I feel really good about the coaching staff and where they will take the future of the program. IMHO GBR
  21. I absolutely agree with you. I am not saying by any means that FSU would be a gimme, but I was worried and excited at the same time when there was talk about us playing GT. What a boost that would be if we could pull out a win against that team. Either way thougha win here would be excellent. GBR
  22. I did see the spear on Helu also I yelled at the TV when it happened, but no one heard me. I have seen a lot of that this year and none of them have been called. It seems to me they focus so much on the so called new safety rules that they completely miss a lot of the old rules.
