Transferring and taking transfers is not tampering, that's not what Frost was talking about. Tampering is when another school's coach reaches out to a player before they've entered the portal, which is still prohibited.

Supposedly Frost was kinda bummed that Georgia offered, he wanted to be first.

@Crusader Husker If a good education were his original priority, he would've just went to Rice to begin with. Though I suppose it's possible that when he left Kentucky, he gave up on the NFL and decided to just focus on his education.

As far as speed goes, from what I've heard Smothers's best asset there is that he's quick and shifty in the pocket, avoiding the rush well. A 4.5 40 is what I've heard, too. Not quite as good on the deep ball as Haarberg or Martinez, but good accuracy and just about automatic within 10. Biggest problem for him is just limited development time. More time is spent developing guys farther back on the depth chart during spring and fall camps, while during the season itself most of the focus is on getting the top two guys ready for that week's opponent. But last year we didn't really get a spring camp and fall screwy too. Verduzco pretty much alluded to this and said Smothers came in this spring kinda cold and regressed on some things they'd worked on in fall camp, but should be OK on as he gets more reps.

Somebody on the Rice board has already suggested moving Luke to WR.

I would say it's more likely the other way around. Remember that Rice's HC is Christian's old OC - Christian probably told Luke to go to Rice to begin with. Luke wanted to be a P5 starter right away so he tried Kentucky, and when he couldn't get the job he took Christian's idea as Plan B. And now that Luke flipped, Christian is having a big ego "I told you so!" moment. Still a bad look either way.

Yeah, big long striders like him can be deceptive at first glance. I'd like to see some actual timed numbers.

@Lorewarn Not really. All that Apple allows is reskins of Safari. If you download, say, 'Firefox' for iPhone, about all you're really getting is just the Firefox menus & UI system. Under the hood, the browser engine that draws the pages is Safari's, not the actual Firefox engine (Gecko), because Apple doesn't allow it. Consequently, if a page is broken in Safari, it'll typically be broken in all browsers on iOS.
