  1. According to the boxscore, 36 rushing attempts vs 33 passes......hmmmmmm
  2. This is something Bo Pelini would say...And then True would lambast him for it. Haha! Yep you guys are right and it is funny. Key difference here though and I know most of you won't get it or even care to read this, but the big difference is that I supported Bo for about the first 5 years. Hell, f#*k that, I even supported Bo in his final year when he swore he had seen the light and some changes were coming. 7 years in, we watched the same team do the same stuff in the same schemes. If you can't respect the difference there, then piss off and quit talking to me. The fact that you can't find any blame on the coaches acceptable in possibly the worst season in Nebraska history is laughable. I mean, Jesus our play calling is like some 12 year old playing Madden for the first time. I think a blind person pointing randomly at a playbook could call a better game. But no, you're right this is all Bo's and the players fault. Riley is completely f'ing blameless. Riley is showing what Riley does. He talks a good game, but has never won anything or done anything. Everyone says that he couldnt win at little oregon because of resources, are you guys forgetting how bad he was in his short stint in the NFL? And again please read anything anyone from oregon state has said.....Riley has 2 things going for him Jack and sh#t, and Jack left town.
  3. He will do his lame ass Hip Hip Hooray with a sad face
  4. This is the worst coached team I have ever seen. Anyone defending this coach needs to go hide in a hole. We may not have any super stars this year, but for sh#ts sake, this coach is making damn sure there are no stars on this team. To you people blaming depth, any time you have the threat of firing a coach like we have for the last few years it hurts recruiting, and now when you hire a coach that is short on marbles you get the crap fest we get to watch now. Guess I can sit here in ohio and listen to the news talk about JT Barrett and his arrest.
  5. Lopsided loss by a horrible team great HIRE. So we got rid of a coach that got blown out in big games, for a coach that loses and occasionally gets blown out by horrible teams.
  6. What was that about getting a coach that wouldnt get blown out. This program is a joke.
  7. You want to feel like this all should have been known? Read all the old articles from when he was at oregon state. Examples: (Read the comments its almost as if they are saying the same thing) <forehead slap> http://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2014/11/risk_of_firing_mike_riley_far.html sample from comments: "adam Nov 7, 2014 Recruiting and $$ challenges does not explain an offense with a senior QB not being able to run a two minute drill. It does not excuse throwing 2 fade routes in the end zone to a freshman WR on 3nd and 4th and goal when you've been running the ball well all day long or on 3rd and 2 against UTAH when you have the chance to put Utah away. The play calling has been dreadful. It's been incredibly vanilla as well. Drop back passes all day long. Very few screens or fly sweeps or other types of misdirection and trick plays. The defense knows exactly where Mannion will be on almost every play. And tell me we can't recruit a mobile QB when Eastern Washington can come to our house and beat us with one. I want to hear from the Riley defenders on this one." "
  8. So does anyone think we will hear from eichorst about another embarrassing loss? How bout that sideline penalty for arguing with the ref?
  9. Jano should have gone down at the 1inch line..... to much time for wisc
  10. So does Perlman or eichorst come out and say this is a great improvement over random blowout losses from the past.
  11. Since people love asking about sig wins, name a sig win for Riley.........there isnt one, because he has never won anything in his life. He last beat Oregon in 2007, only 2 of the losses in the last 7 years have not been embarrassingly bad blow outs (isnt that why we fired the last coach). This wasnt suppose to be a rebuild from ground up hire, it was suppose to be a hire that erased a couple losses off of the record. We got a team that looks bad, really bad. The defense stats from last week look better because the weather was crap, we can only hope that every sat has bad weather. He is the "nice guy" because there isnt nothing else positive to say about him, other coaches probably like him because he is an easy win. This hire is something that will take drastic change at the university to come back from. After Solich was fired I believe it was Urban Meyer that said paraphrase "Why would I go to a school that would fire someone with a winning record". Hey maybe out of left field, since this hire was from right, Nebraska hires Tressel as the new president and then he can rebuild the Athletic department, and while he is at it, figure out how to get back in the AAU.
  12. You want to know why Riley is always called a nice guy? Because when you have nothing else positive to say about a person you say...."well he was a nice guy" Other coaches love him because he is an easy win. Ive been dormant on the forums not posting for a long while. This university needs to fire the chancellor all the way down. He blamed bo for hurting nebraska's reputation, but Perlman has done more damage over the years than anyone. This game was just pathetic, the whole season has.
  13. Maybe we can put a positive spin on this and say this game was one of the best rope-a-dopes ever. If the huskers can beat georgia there will be alot more media coverage and praise than if we had actually done what we were suppose to and go to the rose bowl. That scenario only works if we actually beat georgia. I was telling people all week that this team beats itself, and that within the first 5 min of the game we would know the outcome. I know coaches are where the puck stops but most of the losses have been to player brain farts, which are so baffling because there is no way we will ever know why it happens, and it is especially true with this graduating class. Its not time to change coach, but the coaches do need to stop and reflect, I agree that some people need replaced like the o-line coach. Pap was a higher that is understandable, but not necessarily the best or most agreeable higher. Nothing anyone says or does will change the mind of the negative nancy's that think that everything should be instant. I believe when nebraska decided to higher Bo they went with the plant a seed and let the tree grow path. Lets go into a time machine and look at the last 10 years of BCS champions. In those 10 years I think 8 different schools have won. Of those 8 schools only 4 coaches are still coaching at the college BCS level. Miami is not on the competitive radar and wont be for a long time. USC is also off the radar no matter how much the media wants to hype them. OSU lost the cheating tres and got meyer. LSU lost saban and got Miles. Flordia lost meyer, nothing won since he left.......anyhow Im rambling and Im not cross checking my info so on to the next point. There are really only 3 "great" coaches out there if we are going off of championships only, saban, miles, and meyers. They didnt have awesome starts at their BCS schools. (Im not counting their mid-major conference runs)....Meyers is actually an exception to the rule because I dont think he had a bad year at any level....but the others? I dont have the stats in front of me, but Saban, struggled until I believe his last year at michigan state, then he struggled at LSU until his last season or the last 2...by the time he went to Alabama he had already formed a god like following. Miles, well we know what he did at oklahoma state, and then he inherited a national champ team. Meyers turned florida around from a drop off, and now he is at ohio state. There is one thing all these schools have that most don't..especially Nebraska. They are hotbeds for recruiting. Ohio state is the texas of B1G. If they wanted they could fill the roster with players from just the suburbs of columbus and compete for league champs. Its been beaten around like a dead horse, but those schools mentioned above will always have an advantage because they are the states all the other schools go to try and get players. They only need to go out of state for a few "stars" that fit a specific need. Im sure Im not the only one but I still think Nebraska is heading in the right direction. The loss to wisc sucked (since I live in cbus the OSU loss sucked more in my little world)....but really the only people that will be talking about this a few years from now are the people that post here..... So here is a toast to the fun world of internet fan forums....where the battle between the fanboys and the haters rages on till there can only be one "true" fan.
  14. Reading this thread has obviously been more fun than watching the game. Some of you are f'ing crazy which makes it more fun to read. We didnt show up for this game, its been an F in execution on all levels. The only positive we can maybe take is that the players will show up in the bowl game. To those of you wanting major coaching changes, I dont think we do. We do need players that dont get their panties in a wad, everytime we have a big game and make mistakes that peewee teams make. No matter how good or bad coaching is during a game it is all on the players and their epic mistakes they keep making ranging from turnovers to horrible tackling. This is the ohio state game all over again. At least we get to watch them have a chance to redeem themselves in the bowl......maybe.
  15. Ill add one last thing to this topic. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/campusrivalry/post/2011/10/steve-spurrier-ron-morris-south-carolina-calls-out/1 Bo isnt alone on calling out BS, and I think everyone will agree that spurrier is one of the more media savvy coaches. .....The End
  16. So let me get this straight...we would rather have a coach that can give fluffy press conferences spew rainbows and kittens from his mouth rather than coach some kids, win games, and run a "clean" program? Yeah bo should take a note from some of the more media savvy coaches that know how to brush things off and answer questions with more non answers, but he is still learning. Id rather his weakness be his media savvieness than his coach abilities. How about some articles that talk about the great second half adjustments that led to that comeback. How about some stories on our secondary and how the youth is going to step up. How about looking at crick's struggles this season? How about any story about football. Id rather be reading about the players on this team and strategies instead of boorish article after article of TM and Bo. And the references to media like how the columbus media didnt like bo.....um id like to see some facts. There is still a sprinkling out here in columbus that bo is on the radar for osu, it may not be during the upcoming sanction years but the post sanction years. Also the columbus media is more focused on its own problems if anyone has noticed. I think some people are stuck in a rut here and when the only negative thing the writers forum posters can come up with is how Bo isnt as media savvy and quotable as someone like Gruden then that leaves me to believe things are going pretty good for this program. Ill end with "I dont post much but when I do post I always post with a dos equis in my hand"
  17. Big10 network will make you happy again.
