  1. I always wonder how many dropped balls there are that are catchable when you see these kinds of passing stats. I'm sure he could have been over 50% with better receivers.
  2. My parents seats are right under the first overhang so they don't get rained on but have no obstructions to their view. They wouldn't change them for anything in the stadium because it is more pleasant watching the game in inclement weather and yet the view is still good.
  3. Just give us a +1 playoff and we don't have to worry about this bull anymore...
  4. Quite frankly I think that Alex Smith led Utah squad was the best team in the country that year.
  5. If I recall, I read in Aaryn Bouzos thread that Rivals talks about him being injured.
  6. Bo Pelini knows defense. He is about as good as they come as far as defensive minds. It seems to me that Bo Pelini, the Head Coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, would use this knowledge to his advantage. Do you think he sits idly by and asks Shawn Watson who is the starter at each position. I'd imagine he would give some advice along the lines of "This individual would be hardest for me to prepare for." In this respects, all this concern over position battles is probably more meaningless than we are making it out to be. Bo Pelini would like the players we use on offense to be hardest for one of his elite defenses to stop, therefore improving the offense. Maybe we can think of this more often rather than adding one more ridiculous thread on top of the pile that I am now adding one to.
  7. Under 50% Passing against that team will yield some pretty terrible results against our secondary. It appears their 3rd down conversion rate isn't what it should be (5 for 17). 70 yards of penalties don't help either, nor 2 interceptions. All told, Demarco Murray won them that game on top of the four USU turnovers.
  8. We appear to be heads and tails above OU and UT based on their performances today. Really the only conference that looked solid all day was the Big Ten. The future is bright boys!
  9. We don't have to worry, Wisconsin has no baseball team. My brother would have walked on if they did (he was offered a walk-on at Nebraska but chose to go to UW)
  10. 10 Passing attempts, 15 yards rushing outside of his 85 yard option. Not a lot of gametime for Bubba it seems in such a lopsided win... What did he play 2 series? Where are the stats for the rest of the game...
  11. Minn-Illinois, what are they thinking.... Not even Gopher fans want to watch that game... It appears their last game of the season isn't shaping up to be a standard team. Minnesota trades teams from yr. 1 to yr. 2
  12. It's our PROTECTED rivalry, but they will play up the Iowa game as the bigger rivalry. Minnesota-Wisconsin is probably that week, Ohio State-Michigan, some big names and big games.
  13. Oh balls, I'll have to wait until morning to catch them....
  14. Quite frankly I'd rather be in a division with Penn State and Michigan than Iowa and Wisconsin in terms of how hard it will be. You should have an easier time making it to the championship game. But you are right, playing 2 of the West 3, Michigan and Penn State half of the time is a brutal trek. Plus another of the West 3 in the championship game. You could conceivably go through a year playing Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska en route to a Conference Title. That is 6 teams that are generally ranked or close to ranked at all times.
  15. I decided to not be lazy and just ask questions even though you all are very good about answering questions. Aaron Green: 170 yards 3 Rush TDs Malcolm Brown: 184 yards 1 Rush TD 1 Rec TD I couldn't find receiving stats besides that MB touchdown. Take away some bad tackling one run and Malcolm is 1TD and 88 yards down. He should never have gotten that far on that run. Don't take away from what Malcolm did on that play. It was nothing short of amazing. The Madison defense was much stronger than Steele's. If Malcolm had the holes and blocking that Aaron did, he would have ran all over the field. Give credit to Madison's defense for shutting down their run game. Not taking away from Malcolm, he fought through when he could have folded. I'm saying that it was close to being a much more lopsided game if they had shoestringed him on that play. Based on his looks, I'd say that Malcolm looks like the kind of back who should be heading to Wisconsin, not to Texas.
  16. I'm talking about Herbstreit's article. Not the polling. My link
  17. This just in, Missouri announces they will be adding a dome to their stadium
  18. I'm fairly certain every husker dead or alive wants to know
  19. Lavonte David picking off a route through the middle and scoring from 20 yards out.
  20. Quite frankly, going through the West and facing OSU in the championship game would be a gauntlet. Iowa, Wisconsin, and the perennial division champ Ohio State every year. Add in Penn State or Michigan in cross-division games. You'll likely play 4 ranked teams in conference some years... I'd rather play in the SEC East
  21. Here's one of Lavonte David off of the Practice Gallery at Huskers.com
  22. Pelini is tied, but listed at the top and with the caption and image, for the top defensive mind in the country. He joins the likes of Muschamp and Saban. Amukamara is listed as the #2 Corner by Herbstreit Nebraska's Secondary is the 4th best out of all position groups in the country below a DL, LBs, and a backfield.
