Can't imagine he would resign and then coach more games. Really can't believe he would resign period. Plus to me the canidates list looks bogus. Tressel is still under show cause for multiple more years. Can not for the life of me see Nebraska voluntarily taking on ncaa probation for a coach. Smart has never coached outside of the southeast and has turned down a number of jobs there. Has been with saben since lsu and makes like 1.5 mill as an assistant. I seriously doubt he would have any interest in Nebraska, nor would Nebraska want a first time hc that would likely have to make as much if not more than bo from day one. Whole thing seems bogus. Maybe bo is about to be done, but I don't think it goes down like what is claimed by this guy.

The story I am hearing from st. Louis is that he has tried to commit but wanted to still take visits. Missouri, whose class is almost full has told him they want him, but he has to be fully committed and no longer take visits for them to hold his spot. At this time I think it's more likely that someone else will take his place than it is that he will fully commit.

Lots of rumors of a commitment to mizzou last night, but I haven't seen any confirmations yet.

Holy cow! Bienema really scored when he ditched the Vadgers. big dollars, short leash. Arky has been taking some historically bad beatings. If this year goes as bad as it looks now and things are not better next year, you could be looking at guy that is out after 2 years or on a burning hot seat to start year 3

That's possible. But there is no telling really. What games would have changed with our opponents. Florida is still a win, Tennessee is still a win. I assume your talking about Georgia. well maybe that's the case and maybe not. Gurley is great, but Missouri is one of the best run D's in the country. Would that have made the difference for Georgia? possibly, but then I could say MU would have been in a better position with EJ Gaines on the field for all of the game. Mike Davis has been the best back in the SEC this season. avg 6.3 yrds a carry. He ran for 51 on 19 attempts at Mizzou. 2.68 ypc. 2 yard per carry worse than he next lowest output on the year. I would think it would be safe to say that he may not have found much running room. OR maybe he does because he is freakin Gurley and he is a stud. Heck if James Franklin plays the first half of the SC game we are up 31-0 at least. Maybe if shaw played the whole game instead of just about half maybe its a shoot out. Fact is there is no way to know and IMO there are only two possible games where things could have changed. And Mizzou lost one of those. who is to say that if we have our best qb and db playing that we don't win against SC easily?

You cant possibly be telling me Missouri has beaten nobody and doesn't impress, and then just a short statement later pump UCLA's win over a below avg Nebraska team as something of note?!?! That's funny. when does the Kool-Aid guy come busting threw my computer screen? UCLA's best win is Nebraska. Who has played nobody. And I mean nobody. And you already know this. What is Nebraska's best win...what, a 3 point win over 4-4 Wyoming? 6 wins over retarded blind kids is not quite something that makes Nebraska a good team. The 101st rank SOS and only one victory over a FBS team without a losing record. And again, that's 4-4 Wyoming. Nu has played two winning teams and lost by two scores or more in both. Nebraska is far from a good win for UCLA. In record and name only is it even noticeable. On paper its about as impressive as Missouri over Toledo.About Oregon...Oregon's wins are over the before mentioned UCLA who has beat nobody and 5-3 Washington. Washington's best win is Arizona, who is likely going to finish 7-5. They really haven't beaten anyone that good either. Even if they are one of only two teams to have all their wins be by 15 or more points (mizzou is the other btw). I am all for discussing and point/counter point. But that Nebraska thing lost me. Just out of curiosity who would win if MU and NU played and what do you think the score would be? Acutally, nevermind. I am sure I already know your answer. CFB isn't loaded with great teams this year. Infact there maybe only 3 that are even that great. I think that is about all we are going to come close to agreeing on. I feel that you can see if a team is talented and good. For you the proof is in who they have beaten. I feel like I have shown that is not always the case.

Its not about you specifically being a hater. It is the some on this board and what seems like husker fans in general having an issue with Missouri being better than nebraska. And just like before i would say, if not them, then who? Tell me who bama has beaten. How bout Florida state? Clemson and Miami? Miami's best win is Florida, who you said sucks. Clemson has fewer good wins then mizzou. Oregon? Well they beat ucla who has beaten nobody. ohio state, Michigan state, baylor?! Just look at the teams you feel deserve that ranking. Its really a down year for a group that just wows you. Which brings me back. Mu has 2 wins against the sargarin top 30, which is equal too or more than every team in the bcs top 10 other than Stanford. They also have the highest ranked sos of the top ten other than Stanford. Just curious if mizzou isn't good and doesn't deserve it, then who does?

You still just stated all the reasons to believe Missouri isn't very good, yet they are in the top 10. You say that but... Georgia was healthy on d and playing with a healthy oline. Mu won that game in the fourth with a back up freshman and missing thier best defender for nearly all four quarters. Actually florida d is pretty good its the o that sucks. And we rolled them on both sides of the ball. Again missjng out qb and best defender Tenn sucks....and they were completely outmanned. Shut down and had a team run for nearly 350 on them while basically sitting on the ball to run out the clock the entire second half. Isn't dominating teams that are not your equal something good teams do? Not to take a shot at nebraska but many here just 2 weeks ago fancied the huskers a top 15-20 teams. Missouri wins by 3 or more scores easily playing your last two opponents. As simple question...if not them, then who. And be sure to compare fairly without normal tiger hating bias

They are good and if you can't see that, you either have no idea what a good team looks like or your just a hater. They have dominated teams and have the last two wins with a backup freshman. The team passes every eyeball test if you have watched them at all. They have possible the best front four in the sec. Their oline is physical and talented. They have quite possibly the best core of wrs in the county. Three rbs that are all starter quality. They carry the trademark of nearly every good pinkel team in that they don't make many mistakes (penalties and turnovers) and they take the ball away better than any program in d1 football. Theyrun well and pass well. They stop the run and dont give up many points. I don't believe they are elite. But they are pretty damn good. You can only beat the teams on your schedule and very few have done that as well as mizzou. For those who feel Missouri is so overrated, have you even watched the games? What justifications or reasons do you have to feel that way?

Not a whole lot but we did get Michael Rose out of KC, *cough* Chase Rome *cough* right in your back yard (had a Missouri offer) and solid-if-unspectacular Will Compton out of Bonne Terre (also Missouri offer). well as I said, we didn't offer rose, rome did play his sr year in como, but he is from Florida and Compton is from stl. Not kc as the thread was talking about. And none of the three were really mizzou misses in hind sight. Although the jury is still out on rose if mizzou made a mistake by not offering

I don't know that there was a "reason". I just don't think that he fit what they wanted. I remember him being pretty sore about it and taking to social media a couple of times to complain about not getting and offer and over others that did get the offer. sometimes players just don't fit, or coaches don't see them as a fit. And I think that was the issue here

I think Harrison will most likely get drafted and never set foot on campus as a player for either sport at Nebraska. Hope i'm wrong! I think you may be correct. Which would make losing him a lot better for us (sorry...kinda ) If he does end up coming to Nebraska I really think he will be a great talent. A lot of mizzou people really believe in him

I did go back and look just out of curiosity, and I wouldn't say that Nebraska has even been a player in KC (or Missouri for that matter) going back through the 07 class. Over the last 7 classes NE has signed 3 from KC, 1 (rose) didn't have a MU offer. over that same period MU has signed 17. If there was an effect...its already there. Nebraska has 2 verbals this year, monte and freedom. Freedom didn't have an offer and was not likely to get one and Harrison, as I touched on earlier was a baseball decision based on our coaches. And that sucks cause I think he will be a good one.

I don't think it will really effect it much. Heck half of the kids NU has picked up from MU recently didn't even have MU offers. Monte & Hannon are the only ones I can think of recently that we even had an offer in on the last 3 years. And Monte's decision was based on baseball and the fact that our baseball coach is a giant D-BAG! we have missed out on some kids that we would have liked to have, every team does. But KC is not really the problem area. We more often than not get the guys we really want there. STL has been a probably area and Missouri misses a lot there for some reason. If things really start going well, with the move to the SEC I see that being the area that picks up for Mizzou. I don't see much if any change in KC

#1 Missouri was under rated based on a fluke season last season where they rolled out a mash unit offense. and played a breakneck schedule #2 They are a pretty darn good team who has beaten every opponent by at least 15, only Oregon can say the same. They have a top offense, and pretty good D, one of the very best if not the best team in the country when it comes to takeaways, ints, penalties, turnover margin & sacks. May not be a dominate team on the schedule, but there have been a lot of dominate victories of some pretty decent teams. #3 Rival stars have nothing to do with success when you recruit to your system and have an eye for players that you can grow and develop. Missouri has done more that enough to prove that over the past years. only Alabama and florida have had more NFL first rounders since 2006. Multiple stars at the same positions going back 10 years one following the next (QB, WR, TE, DL & LB) #4 Compared to the other top ten, our schedule isn't too bad. Remove the victory from the ranked team and here are the win/loss of the top tens opponents. (found this on a MU message board) Alabama 22-20 (0-6 from Georgia State hurts here, balanced out by 6-0 from VTech) Florida State 27-7 (6-0 from Bethune-Cookman is a little misleading) Oregon 22-20 Ohio State 24-17 Mizzou 27-16 Stanford 27-15 Miami 14-21 Baylor 19-15 (with a combined 10-2 from Buffalo and Wofford) Clemson 27-12 Texas Tech 18-21 listen... I know MU is good. Might be very, very good. May even be great. I don't know if they are top #5 good right now. They are top 10 good I think. But I think they have about as good of a claim on that rank as any other team has. This team, if it would have been healthy would have performed well last year. Unfortunately we were playing with a 3rd string o-line, a back up QB, back up TE's, back up RB among a few more on our defense. And for those who know nothing about mizzou they cant seem to understand that last year was not the real mizzou. I think those who pay attention are not that surprised. Maybe surprised that Mizzou is undefeated, but not that they are a good team finding success.

I don't know why so many get mad when I say I don't think the big ten is very good. I am a joke...I am a homer...sec blah blah. No less that ten statements a day or threads are active on this board any given day from husker fans saying the same thing. Its not a hater thing...its not even a husker thing. Many share my same thoughs that Nebraska can and should cruise. How are my thoughts different from the majority of this board?

Bo...there is a big difference between entertaining football and good football teams. I am assuming that when I said the big 10 sucks you thought that meant they cannot be entertaining. Because if you are trying to pass off penn state and Michigan as good football teams. ...wow...talk about homer

Mizzu and A&M are doing much better than we are. We haven't won a conference title since 1999. We live off our own legacy 95 this, 95 that. TO this, TO that. We've done nothing but get embarrassed on national TV since the 2002 Rose Bowl vs Miami. Both teams play in the best conference in CFB and are doing well oh and this is the same conference that has won the past 7 MNC's and a total of 9 out of the BCS's 15 year history. Yeah. FACTS buddy. You honestly think the SEC is that powerful of a conference this season? Have you been watching the games? Might not be as strong as a few years back, but compared to the big10 the SEC are gods walking the earth. And that's not even a statement about the sec as much as it is a statement about how bad the big10 is

Injuries are a part of the game. Nobody and I really mean nobody gave us the slightest of breaks last year when 3/4 of our offense was hurt. And down playing Florida because they have injuries. Hello guys, mizzou played without our qb and best defender today. All we did was line up a rs fresh qb in his first start and smoke Florida. Mizzou and Oregon are the only two teams in the country to win every game by atleast 15 points. This is a senior heavy team that would be a top team in any conference. I kinda laugh at how bad we would beat teams if mizzou was still in the b12 or in the big10

I think lost in some of the facts and/or statements is that this girl was 13 years okd and that would mean she was 4 years younger than the legal consinting age stated by Missouri law.
