  1. There ya go. Not to bring up the past, but I criticized Watson for not putting Taylor in a position to succeed, and I was shocked when Beck imo did the same thing against Wisky. If your insight is correct, the scheme this week made it easier for him not to over-think and to put the ball in the hands of playmakers, including himself.
  2. That's how I feel. He could play better or he's the second coming of Wistrom blah blah blah. After what I'm hearing about the hit he took against Washington (didn't see it), I'm concerned about his health. What he does on the field is secondary.
  3. Lets not forget who we were playing! Ohio State is TERRIBLE!!! I agree with some of your points but for us to be so excited for this win is just rediculous. Why did it take such a Herculean effort to beat this team? The fact that we are taking pride in this pitiful win is making me sick. We cant stop dual threat qb's. A slow, unathletic qb that is inaccurate we look great against. If Miller doesnt go down we lose, plain and simple. Are we gonna be able to hurt everybodys qb? No...This team shouldnt have even been within 30 points of us. Im just glad we dont play Northwestern or Illinois. We are going to have a hell of a time against Michigan. I guess our best chance there is to HOPE that Robinson is hurt. No, it's not plain and simple. OSU has a pretty good defense (#15?) and our boys put up 28 unanswered points against them. I'm going to be happy that my team won.
  4. We've got a week off and a bad Minnesota team between us and them. I'm definitely enjoying this win, and yes I do believe it was an accomplishment regardless of the circumstances, but if they beat MSU on their turf then I will be a believer.
  5. Thanks for straightening that out. I got it wrong. Still don't care for Dirk's opinion pieces. And I read in the OWH this morning that the applause was from NU staffers.
  6. Edit - I messed up the quote function. I'll try again.
  7. Dirk was asking if Taylor was more motivated this week, and he repeated it twice. I could sort of hear the reporters' questions when listening on the radio. Bo said he's always motivated. It was an insulting question, and Chatty needs to get off the kids. This ain't the NFL and these guys aren't playing for millions of dollars. Rag on the coaches if you want, the players are off limits.
  8. Thanks, I'll try that on my phone later.
  9. I absolutely love Huskerboard and appreciate the effort and resources you put toward it. I really enjoyed using the mobile site on my Droid, but it seems to be gone. Is it something I'm doing? If not, will it be back? Thanks again for this great board.
  10. Because you use incorrect words and take a message board too seriously? We were all thinking it.
  11. I'm watching last year's Missouri game on BTN right now. Last year it was on the day we celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday by going to an indoor water park here in Omaha. I remember asking the board how I might find a way to watch the game. Almost to a man (or woman), you told me to enjoy my daughter's birthday and watch the game later. Even though there was a TV in the bar area, I took your advice. It was a great day and I watched the game later on DVR. Even though this board is dedicated to Husker football, most of you recognize that some things are more important. That's cool. Edit: And that has a lot to do why this transplant finds this place very special.
  12. Yes but for awesomeness nothing will ever come close to the hijacked YouTube video thread.
  13. No rush man, take care of your lady. Amen to that.
  14. But not who the champion was. Not true. There will be (many) teams with similar records and accomplishments to the teams that made it in - but didn't. Maybe I should have included more of his quote. Red Denver was talking about the giants beating the undefeated patriots in the super bowl, and how one could have the opinion that they were not the better team. In cfb it is an opinion based system until you get to the last game, true. I don't like it, but I also don't like the idea of a playoff. Even I find it strange that I sound like I'm arguing for one.
  15. As an Astros fan that would be very exciting, but I would rather see him stay at NU.
  16. While our defense did not have its best game ever, if we can't win a game which the other team scores 19 points we are in trouble.
  17. I agree, he played like a freshman who was not well coached, but there's a lot to like. The line was atrocious. IF we can get better coaching we can get monster play from the qb corps over the next few years.
