I just heard that last drive by Kansas.... 3rd and long... 3 times. Each time Jim Rose said 4 man front... NO RUSH... and guess what? Complete, complete... touchdown. WTF? What is wrong with this team. This is a complete breakdown... like they've all just given up. It's really depressing.

Just wondering if any of you are in my position. I love Husker football... love it to the point that I get angry when we lose. My wife doesn't get it and it actually led to a big fight. I was talking to my sister on the phone when OU got away with those three holding calls on that TD run. I smashed the phone down in anger... I think i threw a Spree (candy) into the fireplace. How can I get it across to her that it's not me... it's Husker football

Do you remember when our O-Line was the envy of everyone? Even when we couldn't do anything else... we had this offensive line that would just make people wish they didn't have to play us. What happened? Did we stop the weight program? Or is it all about the juice?

Lucky had a chance to break a big one, and he took it outside. I would like to see another QB though... anyone... just to see someone make that big throw when Swift is 10 yards wide open in the middle of the stupid field!!!!

This is somehow not as painful as last week. I was juiced up for last week's game... and we were coming back. This feels like late 80's Huskers where the OU game was pretty much a wash, but we at least hoped to look respectable. This is embarrassing on national television. NO offense is this bad. None... I'd like to see the stats for the other teams that faced the Sooners... just depressing to watch, but not heart tugging sould wrenching like the Mizzou game.

I have noticed over the years that whenever we play a team on a grass field, we look really sluggish... someone mentioned that against Mizzou, it was like our defenders were moving in slow motion. Has anyone else noticed this? It scares me when we play on a grass field. It always feels like we can't quite get the timing down. In the MU game, it seemed that ZT held onto the ball just a second to long... perhaps waiting for receivers to run their routs. Our rushing was awful... and the defenders seemed slow. At first I thought they were all just drunk or something, but now I'm thinking about grass.

We never run counters or anything to throw the defense off. The defense pursues the play and gets the hit... there is no misdirection. I don't understand that. No reverses or counters... or anything to make the swarming defenses slow down... they do this to us all the time. Most of Missouri's big plays were because we overpursued... didn't stay where we were supposed to be. But we rarely pull this kind of misdirection on other teams. We line up to pass... we pass... we line up to run, we run. And always fairly predictably. it's been this way for awhile now. Osborne had his "up the middle" style, but at least it felt like there was a plan there.

I'm not acting. I was sitting here... gearing up for the TT game... thinking that if Tech wins... then we are legit. But now that point is moot. We aren't legit... and we won't be taken seriously this year by the national press. Edited to add: We didn't just lose this game... we got pounded. It wasn't like Tech where they fluked the ending to win... Missouri had over 500 yards of offense... and they killed our QB over and over.

They got one today... finally... it was blatant, but at least they called one. It is weird though... there were a few... gah. Doesn't matter. We gave up.

It's easy to talk like that... but what makes us the greatest fans is that we care. We care a lot. If we just said "oh well" then we wouldn't be great fans.

Yeah... when he started blitzing we ate Brad Smith up... then we quit. Why? anyone?

There is something positive. Maybe we'll see Smith eating people up in the NFL next year, and we can be proud of the Big 12.

Okay Nate... let me be positive for a second. We came back from a 21-3 defecit. That was great. Good job. But KFAB kept talking about how weak Mizzou's offense was going to be... WTF? and another dropped ball and a hit on Taylor. Negative? I have this pain in my chest... like ... just pain. Of course I'm negative. The Huskers are losing... STFU.

We got beat... can't blame stuff... just terribly terribly beaten. Our O-Line is awful, but Taylor holds onto the ball for way too long... just throw it away if there is nothing there. Stop being a moron!
