  1. I was wondering that too. Damnn that looked painful! That video gave me goose bumps. Even teared me up a little!
  2. is there audio anywhere to download?
  3. There is no way Sam Keller could've done that! Joey Ganz for 6 baby!!! Wooooooooooo!!
  4. I live in Denver and anytime college football comes up CU fan feels this enormous pressure inflate and legitimize that program. They get hostile, start making up stats, talk about their glory days (which was really a glory minute). Even at their best CU lives in NU's shadow. I imagine this carries on through the whole football program and the coaches and team as well. It makes people say absurd things. Remember, the worst day as a buff (losing to Montana State, there could be others) is better than the best day as a husker (3 Nat Champs in 4 years). Regardless of the tomato story Dizon is a stud LB.
  5. sorry I put this in the wrong thread. I haven't had enough coffee yet.

  7. Happy Thanksgiving all! Get with some family and friends and take a second to think about how good you have it. I know I forget sometimes. Thoughts and prayers to military people and their families as well. I live in Denver and while on my way to work today, local sports radio was giving away tix to the NU-CU game. Then they said "and tix are still available, just call ###-####" I know some CU fans have been posting here trying to defend the conduct of the CU fan base. They have even brought up some incidents of poor husker fan behavior (The Sal's Dead signs were just lame!!). Here to me is the difference between a good fan base and a not-so-good fan base. Both teams a 5-6. CU is being coached up, NU is being coached down. With a win, 1 team becomes bowl eligible and yet 2 days before CU's big rivalry game there are still tix available. I find that unexplainable. Actually I do have a reason for it. The Huskers aren't as good this year and so not as many of the Husker faithful are going to this game. We are bad fans, we are not going to support our team to help CU sell out their stadium. Go Corn!!!!
  8. What do you mean. We always throw on 3rd and 2!!
  9. I certainly think Callahan was running up the score. Going for it twice on 4th down with that lead is running up the score. Callahan has been kicked around by every Big 12 program that we hung 50+ on for the better part of 2 decades. Then he has to deal with a fan base that wants him drawn and quartered. I think he just couldn't help himself! I also think that KU ran the score up on us. ..and in both cases I don't care. If you don't like it then stop someone. As much as I despise CU "This isn't intermurals brotha, this is Big 12 football!!!"
  10. I care. He is not just someone to use up and throw away. Glad you're so in love with the Golden Boy. He is a good athlete and has had a good year. I and many others are concerned with the way Glenn has been treated, however, whether or not you agree with it is not important to me. And Lucky is THE MAN, as you put it, because the coaches have cottled him all the way through and we all know he is Callahan's choice. I love how everyone hates on Lucky. Guy is in the top 5 in rushing yards in the conference and is the most complete back we have as far as running, catching and blocking. He also doesn't turn the ball over, has shown tough running through out the year and he does all of this with half of Husker Nation doubting and mocking him. Show the guy some support. What more do you want from him? I love how so many others are singing this guy's praises. He is top 5 in rushing in a 12 team conference so he's....middle of the pack. He has huge passing stats bc/ Keller checked down to him non-stop. How productive was the offense during that time? Also, tuff running? We must not be watching the same games. Last week was the tuffest I've ever seen him run. Tuff as rain! Normally he goes down at the first hint of contact. He does pass protect very well He is a pass catching 3rd down specialist who ended up with more playing time than he should have. Maybe bc/ the others are injured and/ or too young. Maybe because he is in favor with Billy C. Look I'm not saying he sucks but the numbers are decieving. He is no where near what we have come to expect from a tailback at this school. If Glenn can get healthy he should get equal playing time next year. Will he? Not with Billy C.
  11. There was an obvious diffference in play calling. The offensive gameplan seemed to be pretty good. Do any of you think BC was calling the plays? (not to imply that I think Ganz was calling plays- just wasn't the standard lame stuff).
  12. Of course, I'm from Western Nebraska, originally...so I'm a little biased. I grew up with all Denver's major networks on our local TV. Two-One County! They like to run the S#%! out of the ball, which I like. And, of course again....it's not a good year to be a Broncos fan.... I'm from 2-1 county. Gering Bulldogs baby!!!! How 'bout those Melbeta Eagles? Melbeta?!!! The Flame!!
  13. Do you ever wish you could go back Napoleon? If we had Ganz playing quarterback....we'd take state!
  14. I always kind of wondered if Cally was enamored with Keller bc/ he was an NFL type QB with NFL type skills. I also wondered if Cally had made some kind of promise to Keller and his parents to get him here. I will also admit that I thought Ganz was never meant for anything more than a back up. I remember reading posts about how Witt or Lee would stat next year over Ganz as well. There was always a voice in the back of my head saying that if Ganz really was that close to Keller in camp then he should start as a senior. That is how Husker tradition works- work hard, wait your tunr, earn the right to start. I'm blown away by this kid. Maybe this makes sense- Keller is more of a talent and an NFL prospect, Ganz is a Husker!! I don't mean that as Keller isn't a Hisker, but there is something about the way Ganz plays that has this team, and the fans excited again. Count me on the "Ganz should be our starter next year" bandwagon!!

  16. Tuuftiger!!! We finally won one!!!! Thanks for stopping by. I've been watching you on the other boards. Tuff as Rain, baby!!! Tuff tiger is legendary Looking forward to that KU - Mizzou match up!!
  17. Maybe Appalachian State? (I probably spelled that wrong...) App Sate would kil our Defense. I think if we win next week we could get an invite bc/ of how well we travel (been said already I know). Here is what worries me: If we get a bowl bid do they wait until after the bowl to can Cally? That seems to be a long wait and may waste valuable time in the new coach search and recruiting class efforts.
  18. CU lost to Iowa State today, got pummeled by Mizzou the week before. They also got beat badly by KSU. I now that dopesn't make that much difference but after today I feel way better about this game then I did earlier. I think we might win this one.
  19. Who do you think is calling the plays? Doesn't it seem that Mo is more of a target with Ganz than he was with Keller?
  20. Is Tierre Green afraid to tackle people? He seems to run along side people with the ball but make sure he never has to hit them.
  21. Only probelm w/ Grix's T down is the defense is gonna be back out on the field.
  22. I thouhgt Kiffin should've been in the mix last time. PD blew that one. I remember hearing he said he gladly would've accepted the job. Instead we get BC and the rest is history. I brought him up again, a little while back, many on this board think he is too old to recruit.
  23. More of that same, condescending "All Nebraskans are dirt farmers" mentality. Jack ass manager has a jack ass client who is about to be unemployed.
  24. If we'd have stuck with Solich we'd have had a bunch of Barnet-like CU yeras. We could be real competitive in a sorry Big 12 North but nothing more. And as for the original post...I went outside and tackled a tree in my front yard after reading that. I'm ready to play!!!
  25. cocaine is a helluva drug... I'm Rick James Beeeaaacth!!
