  1. Rivals is reporting that Suntrup was given an offer by someone......maybe NU?
  2. This season we'll see very quickly how important and (sometimes) under-rated Ty Stein was as a D tackle. Reports from spring ball (always rosy, I know....) give me hope with Crick, Moore and Baker. But Ty was far more important to the D last year than many outside the program realized.
  3. Bob Sanders, Barry Sanders, Maurice Jones-Drew, Wes Welker, Steve Smith, the Barber Brothers. Yeah, your right small players NEVER make it in the NFL. Wow! Way to go bob! How about you continue to find the exceptions to the rule! How about this one for you, name the top 10 QB's in the league? I can think of only one that is around 6' flat, Dree Brees. NOT TRUE!!! There's Josh Freeman........ Oh wait, he's a tight end. Nevermind.
  4. They are hinting at Chance Carter. T'wod be nice to take an apple out of ND's mouth.
  5. This is so true. It would be nice to be in position to be worrying about style points. Having said all that, I have no respect for any team that runs up scores on overmatched teams.....ala Univ of Houston back in the day. A pox on the BCS for style points.
  6. I hate to hear that about Mac's daughter. I always liked him and respected the job he did at ISU.
  7. Has something changed? Neither Rivals nor Scout shows an offer from or interest in NU.
  8. If potential RBs hear that Aaron Green is high on us (2011), it could scare some off.
  9. Always thought Mark Schaleen (sp?) was a fast, tough FB.
  10. That's what advertising does it raise money FOOL!!!! - unless you want to make up the difference. Chad, you are the only person on this board I really don't like.
  11. Dunno, and we need to keep after him, but if Arron Green commits to NU (2011) class, it might scare off other quality RBs. It would be a nice problem to have.
  12. Nope. He already visited and has no plans (that he's let Scout know about) to make another visit. I suppose he might still visit again, but he didn't mention it. Hopefully, no one wasted any money on a Scout subscription to find that out. I gotta think we look less attractive to him now with Keeston committing.
  13. Matter only writes about Miz-ouri sports. Goes to all the Miz-ouri practices. He must own the paper. Otherwise why would they have him on the payroll? Oh by the way Miz-ouri is a contraction of Missouri and Manuer ( which is prety much what I think of his opinion!). T_O_B Your message will be forwarded to the "No One Gives a Crap" department. Thanks for playing. And you are.........? Oh yeah, the kid that ate paint chips in school. How's that lead working for you?
  14. I think it's easy to look at Rex and fixate on his physical talent, but I have a suspicion, based only on what I have seen and read on boards, that his total contributions will be larger than that. Anyone who has played competitive sports for any length of time has likely experienced THAT player who seems to elevate everyone else around them by their play and their attitude. Rex may well not be the best RB we have in our stable, esp. if we snag Green's 5* brother. But he WILL see the field and I think he'll make his team better by his presence. Even if it sounds like it, I don't really have a man-crush on this kid and I hope I'm not building him up too much, but he definitely seems like a rare find.
  15. Disagree. If Mangino stays at Lawrence he could give KU the tradition in football that many KU fans want. Whether one likes him or not, he has done a good job at KU. The question should be, what's the over/under on Mangino making thru this year without keeling over? I sure wish KU would "help" him lose some weight. I mean, come on, get a gastric bypass already!! I hate going to Kansas/NU games now because I am scared to death the game will have to be stopped/canceled half way thru because Mangino will fall over and die on the field. He really needs an intervention before something bad happens. It's bad enough the guy will die, but then to make things worse he will probably fall on someone else when it happens cutting their life short too. Maybe Jayhawk can answer this, but I think he did have a gastric bypass a while back. Dunno why I think that, but it's sitting in recess of my mind next to mood ring ads and platform disco saddle shoes.
  16. Ilove differences of opinion, the spice of life, but what an odd take this is. A couple points to address... 1) If we beat you, we beat you. Who won 30 years ago doesn't get added to the score post mortem. It is not like you do not know what is coming up at this point. 2) KSU is a different school. Sorry that confuses you... 3) Combining records against different schools does not help make your point. What happens in Manhattan is not so relevant to what is happening in Lawrence. The same can be said for most states (California, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, etc) , so does having only one major football prgram somehow cause you math issues? So now that I have cleared those points up, good luck to you too buddy. Stay classy. ku & ksu are the same to NEBRASKA - your a speed bump we hit every know and then - For ku football started 3 years ago and they're all pumping there chest. Teams that have no history and tradition will never understand what happens 30 years ago is still relevant to today. Don't get too worked up. South Bay is formerly known as Chad 1971 who had similar posts and idiotic rants. Check the woodshed or his Classy fans topic. He'll go away soon. Everyone has a right to be a homer on their own board, but being rude to a guest to this board (who has done nothing to deserve it) passes homerism. Jayhawk, keep posting bro. Sometimes agree with you, sometimes don't, but always like your posts.

  18. Fair questions. But at what specific point do you give BC credit for a dominant OL (assuming he produces one)? Not calling you out, (and this is for everyone) but what is his measuring stick?
  19. We also didn't lose our OC to another school. You forgot that the DC left for the NFL too... Both replaced by long-time assistants. That's the least of Mizzou's worries.... did you happen to see the Mizzou defense, by the way... not a big loss, IMO. A little too Cosgrovian for me. and... "Cosgrovian" is my copyrighted word. Means All F'd Up. Tend to agree about the pre-season rankings. Interesting to read and fills the time between now and Aug, but pretty artless too.
