It's not about how many times we ran it as much as WHEN we ran it. For the last 5 games, everyone knows when it is coming and defense it appropriately. We don't check out of it even if everyone else can see that it will get stopped. If every fan watching the game can see it, shouldn't the coaches see it also?

We need to get away from the deep outside zone read that we're using, I am fine with a more inside zone read concept like Oregon and Nevada utilize, but the deep, slow developing zone read we used is just far too easy to outscheme. Ok. I'll go w/ this assessment. The inside ZR is fine but what we are doing now isn't it...

Please get rid of the zone read! It should only be ran 3-5 times a game. Hell, we ran an option play last night for a decent gain. Those are the wrinkles that should be in the gameplan but not THE gameplan!! I don't care what offensive philosophy we go with but we need to have it as our identity! I don't know wth our identity is right now.

That was horrible and the worst part...me being an arm chair QB actually turned to my brother w/ about 4 mins. to go and said watch this, "Cody just changed the play or direction of the play....i'll call this now...zone read to the left/defense is blitzing right into it...i bet we lose 5 yards!" Result of play: Loss of 5+ yards My brother asked me why i called the play and then gave it to the UDub DC?! LOL That had to be some of the worst O-Line play i've seen in awhile and our offense is offensive! Walking papers need handed out today!

Depends. Are we going to see the exact same UDub team that we already destroyed this season. If yes, then i expect the same play calling that already worked once. Wait a sec. Since when did Watson go with what works? That's not his style at all. My guess - he won't call the plays that worked so well the 1st time 'cause he'll be too busy trying to outwit WU's D by calling plays that won't work. From watching the first game, those calls will also work!
