  1. As you have proven on numerous occasions, that it correct. Just because one is a "fan" it doesnt make them knowledgable on all aspects of the program. Like I pointed out earlier, norvelle is the OC at NU yet doesnt call the plays, and Cotton was OC under FS (1 year) but it was pretty obvious that Barneyball wasnt being played in Lincoln.
  2. ten pages on, that has quickly become apparent. c'mon, guys, LET IT GO. this much hate can't be good for anyone. Seriously, guys
  3. wasn't the 95 season that NU was undefeated and CU, KSU, and KU only had 2 losses each? and each of them ended up in the top 25? All ended up in the top 10, I believe.
  4. Youre right Rawhide Post for Nameless in the woodshed
  5. Dude, do you even think before you post??? (<---rhetorical question) I have never said that the 2003 team played a great schedule, but it is very similar to the last 2 years in terms of quality of competition. Lets go ahead and dispell some of the common nameless facts (a-hem) Lets see-U St, PSU, A&M, ISU, KU, CU (5-7??) were losses, that would be SIX teams w/ losing seasons. Troy St was 6-6, which is .500, (let me slow down for you), is not a losing season, while not a winning season either. "nameless fact" #1-disproved. Its obvious that that those 3 losses by Solichs team were bad losses. But if you want to cherry pick, lets do that..... NU 2004- 10-70 v Tech, 3-30 v OU, 21-45 v K St. Lets see, that would be 34-145 (111 points outscored) for billy c, and 40-110 (70 points outscored) for FS, hmmmmm, 3 ugly, bad blowouts for each. And lets put that into perspective, all three by FS were to bowl teams, particularly KSU in 03 who was the Big 12 Champ. But in 04, KSt was 4-7, yet still beat NU badly. "nameless fact" #2-disproved. Fact, look at the schedule, again. NU DID NOT PLAY McNeese St in 2003. The schedule is right here, in this post and was supplied by yourself. "nameless fact" #3-disproved. Strike 3, you're out !!!! No wonder why everyone questions your credibility with "facts" like this that you normally present. Cue up the band, and start talking in circles nameless (like normal).
  6. I dunno about that Marvin Sanders did a terriffic job with basically the same secondary that got lit up under Elmo his first year. McBride did a terriffic job. Darlington (especially late in his career) did a terriffic job. Apparently, your idea of terrific and mine are different. [quote name=###### ]Jim Rose. The guy that said "Cory Ross Dropped the Chalupa" on the air during the Kansas game? Haha So the guy is a bad play-by-play guy, with a huge ego (no wonder why pud likes him). It doesnt mean that he doesnt know a few things about the game. BTW, besides a few "Cal fans " where is your PROOF, you know, the PROOF that you are so fond of demanding. As you have proven on numerous occasions, most nameless fans really dont know much about the game. [quote name=###### ]Weak response as always. Yes, yours normally are very VERY weak.
  7. I wouldnt blow that out of proportion. Tedford calls all the plays, so the OC title at Cal would have been in name only. And you have proof to backup this statement correct? Or is this just an opinion? I heard it from Propaganda....errrrr........Pinnacle Sports' own Husker suck-up Jim "Legend in his own eyes" Rose. Right. You certainly try to do that quite abit, but to no avail. Do YOU have any proof besides a few anonymous Cal fans???? He is also the coach whos O ranked 87th in total O, and 78th in scoring O in 2005. And lets not forgot about how well his team played in the 2 games prior to the bowl. And he couldnt use the "Only 2 years, give it more time" excuse. The current NU staff has a couple of other failed head coaches/coordinators on hand like Blake and Elmo.
  8. Excellent, Stay the course man! Good info, he is one NU needs. I hope he can come in adapt and contribute at S a little better than Leon has. Here we go
  9. Doesnt do much good if he never makes the grades. Thats what many have chastised Solich for doing.
  10. 10-3 is better than getting beat by 60 points, going 5-6, and getting dominated by KU, however.
  11. And some people just cant let a comment be a comment without putting a negative spin on it
  12. I wouldnt blow that out of proportion. Tedford calls all the plays, so the OC title at Cal would have been in name only. Kind of like what Solich did with Cotton. Yeah, pretty much Like norvell, too. I didnt realize that pointing out the fact that he wouldnt be calling plays (Cal), thus the OC was in name only is negative. The only thing negative is you constantly taking pot shots at me. Seems like he is a perfect match for this staff
  13. Cool stats. Now compare those to the 2003 team. Maybe because the team still isnt as good as it was prior to him being hired.
  14. I wouldnt blow that out of proportion. Tedford calls all the plays, so the OC title at Cal would have been in name only.
  15. Id bet that this does not happen. Other than that
  16. I dunno, but it would be kindof cool to have a couple of guys that actually had ties to the program.........
  17. Ive stayed pretty quiet, but I have to play the BS card here. The distrust comes from pud telling the entire Husker nation for weeks that he was not going to fire Solich, then going out and firing the guy, then blaming it on the media for leaking the story. It comes from him "not offering" Nutt the job, yet he flew Nutt to Lincoln on a chartered flight, and had many "discussions" (interviews??) with him. It came from saying that he "interviewed" Pelini and Gill for the job. It comes from him saying that Wake was the game that he backed out of the Houston game for, even though if he wouldnt have backed out the the Houston game, NU would have played Houston on Thursday night and Maine on Saturday............ It comes from saying that billy c was his "first choice" for head coach, even though it was pretty obvious that he was pretty far down the line. And before you ask "how do you know that" well, it was public knowledge that billy c was gonna be fired by the Raiders. Im sure that they would have not stood in the way of him leaving on his own if he really was puds top choice. It comes from him saying that he made the change to "win championships now," but while NU was going 5-6 he started talking about "progress," finally after the CU game he said that "this is why I did what I did" You did this to beat a team that had folded up for the year and went out on a 4 game losing streak???? Bottom line the guy is a proven liar, when many people say (multiple times) that the guy is a liar, and he has contradicted himself in many ways, it shows a credibility problem. Im the last person to defend the media, but you cant put this on them. You can kiss puds butt because he opened up the Devaney Center for you watch the volleyball game, but there is a good reason why he was voted the most hated man in the state.
  18. To everything previously mentioned. Good luck, and thanks
  19. Uh-huh, right. If you criticize anything to do with the Huskers, youre a hater.

I just saw on the crawl on ESPN that NU finished 24th in one of the polls. Kewl
  21. That was a rule a few years back, I dont know if it has changed or not. I remember NU had something similar happen in the 95 Orange Bowl, I think that Gilman caught a pass from Brook, but didnt make "a football move," dropped the ball, but it was called incomplete.
  22. Pretty high praise, didnt Wilson Thomas go to North?? There have been some pretty fair WRs from NE that went to UNL the past 10-15 years. Thats a darn early committment
  23. That is why I havent commented on it. I cant form an honest unbiased opinion since I only caught the last 9 minutes of the game. Like I said, could be true, could be false.
