    Some of these rumors were just ridiculous. How would it be even possible for SE to offer Bielema & others & still find a 2nd or 3rd choice in 4 days. @HenryCordes: Quoting Harvey Perlman: ''No other coach was offered the job. There is absolutely no truth to any rumor or speculation to the contrary." I can already hear the "he's lying" crowd.

      Probably depends on who one believes more...Perlman or the national media (Gil Brandt in this case).
