  1. I feel a tad guilty, but I am enjoying a good ol' fashioned meltdown right about now.
  2. I'd pay good money to watch THAT drama unfold. It's probably not going to happen now, but I was so looking forward to A&M giving UT the finger.
  3. They are truly knights in shining armor, aren't they? And I See Red People - did you rub the flowers on some K-State fans to get that smell or what?
  4. I heard the same thing in a rumor mill somewhere - if true, it would shock me more than anything else that has happened to date. Yes, they are random people. They're the folks who make sure that Craig James somehow maintains gainful employment at ESPN. Texas and it's lackeys couldn't print enough money for Arkansas to join a revamped Big XII. I hope they do call-- and that Jeff Long records it when he tells Texas to play a game of hide and go ---- themselves. You may have been the latest school to practice telling Texas to stick it's conference in it's Bevo, but we originated and perfected it 20 years ago. Exactly why I would be shocked beyond all belief. I love that there is a precedence with AR leaving for the SEC as well. I have yet to encounter a Razorback who didn't want to tell 'em to stick it up their Beebe holes.
  5. I have already forgotten how to embed a youtube vid, but I laughed my arse off when I saw this. Sorry if it was already posted.
  6. Ouch, talk about below the belt!

  8. Meh, wait until the honeymoon is over. I think we all know how it's going to go down once we're all in the thick of it. I think most of the Big Ten folks are thrilled, obviously. For a lot of reasons. Conference championship, new blood, and at the end of the day...it's Nebraska. Rather than, say...Rutgers. I mean, seriously...Rutgers? Nebraska is a University everybody can be pleased about joining. I think most will agree that Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Illinois, Northwestern, and Minnesota are the guys you really can't hate. Wiscy is borderline. I personally don't have a huge problem with Iowa but for the fact that they've been a real freaking pain for the last how many years we played them. We can be obnoxious, but you gotta love the White Out. Yeah, Rutgers, really? They act like they invented football or something.
  9. The blame game IS getting old, but we will be the scape goat to some, UT will be to some, MU will be to yet some others. There is plenty of blame to go around, if you think about it. Bottom line, the leadership was so poor that it didn't matter who lit the fuse, or how close the end of the wick was to the explosive, it was going to explode eventually.
  10. For the record, I would love for KU (and yes, even MU) go to the Big 10. KSU/ISU to MAC or some such. If the Big 10 can't take you right away, but can eventually - would that work for you guys? I hope KSU isn't tied to your hip because that could be a deal breaker for some conferences, unfortunately.
  11. Other than sucking to lose history and old relationships/ties, what do most Jayhawks feel is the best option, other than keeping the remainder of the B12 teams intact?
  12. can't see anything on the link since it apparently requires a rivals paid membership??
  13. Thanks - I appreciate you trying.
  14. I'm liking the t-shirt idea... a LOT. Let's do it!
  15. From where I sit, other conferences weren't going to allow the Longhorns to create their own TV network, so they are rethinking the decision. Read: "I need to be where I can get my way most or all of the time".
  16. I'd rather just pay the exit fee (stiff as it may be) and move on, never looking back, only forward. What the conference does after NU is officially gone will not be of any concern to us - we will just be interested spectators. Keeping it together seems like a temporary solution at this point, since what this whole mess has done was to reveal just how little trust there is between members of the Big 12. Beebe is such a tool for seeing what was going on right under his nose, and doing absolutely nothing to attempt to get the ship righted. Well, not until after he realized his own arse was on the line.
  17. I could live with either setup, but then again, I could live with any setup. It's the other 11 members that need to decide what they need to do to not impact what is most important to them. But how does it work now with 11 teams?
  18. a sign of things to come?
  19. Just because it's easy data to get at (http://www.tima.com/~jsagarin/sports/cfsend.htm), here's a side-by-side comparison of Sagarin ratings. It's not the end-all-be-all of determining the answer to the question, but it is all relative. OU had a really down year for them, otherwise it would show that the Big 12 was slightly harder to play in. (That, and the wheels unexpectedly falling off of KU). 20. I'm lazy right now, and since I have the attention of a couple of people - help me out, please. How do the conference games work now? I know some teams play each other every year, but how does the rest of the rotation get determined currently? Obviously how it's done will change next year, but I was curious to what the current logic is in scheduling conf. football games. For instance, we have two divisions, N/S. We play everyone in our division each year, plus a home/home series with 3 teams, rotated between the same set of 3 every two years. Now you go...
  21. I seem to remember Florida being a heavy favorite in 1995, too, because NU was slow and plodding while Florida was supposed to be such speed demons. All that speed and still couldn't run Frazier down!
  22. Manhattan, do you want those of us watching the game to all have simultaneous strokes with everyone thinking the broadcast was lost?
  23. I took out one of my sentences that was, "I hope we don't wear out our welcome too soon". Oh, we already have some potential beefs between teams (PSU, possibly MU) that will shake out when it gets going, but for now this is awesome and as I mentioned already, refreshing.
