  1. I hereby move to strike 2007 from the records and our memories! Yeah, we had a few of our own nightmares that year. We were lucky to get to 5 wins.
  2. You're alright to talk about ND. I've seen their schedule and understand why they are getting some pub. However, I'll stand by what I said before by putting ND at 26, and add KU to the mix. ND still must prove it like the rest of the top 25. Regarding the QB situation at ND in 2007. It wasn't ND's record that made me think maybe Weis wasn't a great college coach, it was his handling of the QB situation. I think he did Clausen a big disservice that year. From my outsider perception, I wasn't aware he, and everyone else, was pulled due to injury. I thought it was due to performance. In which case, it's not going to improve if a guy has to constantly look over his shoulder for a replacement during games. Just my .02.
  3. here, I'll toss you a urin bomb to make you feel better.....lol Thanks, man, I was running low!
  4. Different coach now than those last two trips. I am NOT proclaiming with the same confidence as others that the Huskers will win, but what you are talking about has virtually no relevance to 2009.
  5. Sorry, I don't yet know how to post an embedded youtube video, but here's a new version of the Hitler Rant.
  6. ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET?
  7. I know! I had to go take a shower after that. And snap out of your mood, man, fridays are supposed to be happy days!
  8. Hate to do it, but I agree with BeachBuffs wholeheartedly.
  9. Regarding Briscoe: was there ever a doubt he wouldn't be? I know I personally would have hated to see him piss it away.
  10. Ok, I'll up the ante and say they need to step it up 3, count 'em, THREE, notches. If the secondary doesn't lead the team in interceptions this year (again), I'll be very disappointed in their progress as a unit.
  11. I always hope for the best for ISU, but even if they don't go bowling a win over the chokeyes will do just fine. I'm sure Cy would happily take both. As would I! and jayhawker - I think we're past it now, so let's get back to football talk now. Smack or otherwise.
  12. Now, back on track. Cy, I hope you're right about Iowa State getting to a bowl game. That'd be freaking sweet. How awesome would it be for ISU to get to a bowl, and Auburn to crash and burn?
  13. wow man. i've never been that disrespectful. Dude, you lie. You've been asked several times not to call Nebraska "nub." Several times. And yet, here you go, very next post after taking offense. If you want respect, give respect. If you want to be known as the "gayhawks" from now on, by all means keep up with the "nub" crap. You have absolutely no right to be offended here. i've never been asked that and go find a post that proves that. didn't realize it was offensive to you. nothing like gayhawks at all and if you think it's the same that is your problem. I live in NUB and have for 10 years, married to a big husker family that donates to the U and never once have they been as arrogant and pissy as you. would you prefer i call it neb? i usually say unl but i never say nub to be offensive just faster to type. NU is even faster typing. But, you know, whatever.
  14. If this d-line performs up to even a fraction of their potential, we will have some good times ahead! Now if we could only get the secondary to step it up a notch.
  15. How'd the gayhawks do against them last year? Just curious. (See I can be just as disrespectful as you can).
  16. I think this poll just about looks accurate in my head, according to what I know. Time will tell if Mississippi lives up to their hype, but for now I'll agree with it. I'd probably also get Kansas in the 21-25 range, possibly swapping spots with ND. Losing to Syracuse (and thank you, Syracuse, for the gift!) is still in the back of my mind with them.
  17. If Missouri gets to 10 wins, I will renounce my Husker fanhood and start rooting for the Tiggers. If I saw things right, they aren't even a favorite (Vegas odds-wise) in two of their non-conference games. (I think I saw Illinois favored by 5 or 6, Nevada favored by 2 or more).
  18. you have to outscore TT and i do not think the skers will have the O to do it. I just hope we can manage to keep our home game with them closer than 63-21.
  19. Love it! basselope - do you know if Bobby is planning to take an official during a game day? EDIT: If I would only read above - I see the question has already been answered. Nevermind the question. So, I'll just say that I hope he enjoys the next visit even more. Oh, and as far as having a lot of people in the stands - that is one GUARANTEE I know that can be made at Nebraska. Here you go, from NCAA: http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2008/Internet/att...BS_CAPACITY.pdf
  20. Since it looks like this thread derailed a long time ago - does anyone here but me think Tennessee is going to take some ugly beatings this year?
  21. No he's not? I'm glad he's in. Reminds me a little of the John Levorson pickup, but I think Levorson was more highly touted then...anyway. Sounds like a good kid, just wish he had had more offers than a schollie from Ohio and a non-scholarship acceptance guarantee from Princeton. What? You say he's not, but link to something that shows he is.
  22. Though this was an awesome Documentary! Hated the part with Pederson...oh and the fact that whenever they would reference a player they would have to put "walk on" in front of their name...ergh! Walk On Alex Henry this...Walk On Joel Mackovica that.....we get it! We don't need to be reminded every time you say their name!...............whew.............breathe...................okay...................I'm fine now. Hated the part with Pederson, did you? I about punched my computer screen a couple of times watching his arrogant smirking face. Had my middle finger firmly extended during several parts. In any event, the real reason I'm responding to this thread because those who didn't get to see it for whatever reason can do so a little later tonight. On at 8 PM, CT via live webcast. 23. You mean like this? I hope you don't mind, but I just made that my avatar. I love your work!
  24. I am buying in a little. They played very well down the stretch, even in some losing efforts. Two of the last three games were against MU/TT and had chances to upset both. Losing by a combined total of 10 points. What I'm saying is - a good coach/good team shows improvement over the course of the season. They did just that. Now, here's where I'm angry with Griffin. Damn him throwing his first interception of the season in the Missouri game - a game they COULD have won without it. Jerk!
