Thank you, Syracuse, for beating Notre Dame so that we Huskers could take part in the Gator Bowl with fine Clemson fans against a very good Clemson team on the rise.

Tech is being outplayed and out-coached in every single solitary aspect. Tech looks like a completely below average team, and Ole Miss looks like that team that beat Florida. I too forgot about it completely until right about the start of 2nd half. For some reason I thought it was on later tonight. Now score is 48-28 with 4:40 to go. I hope Texas and OU give the South and Big 12 a better showing than this.

And, as they are now advertising more, PS3 has ability to rent movies. I got the PS3 about a year ago for it's blu ray capabilities, and couldn't be happier. It's so versatile. Even if you only stick to your xbox for games, it is still a better option to have than a stand alone blu ray player.

Just terrible. Losing 21-24 at the half, Harrel comes out and throws a pick six, followed up by a 3 and out. Ole Miss took the punt down inside the 10. Could soon be 38-24 in favor of the Rebels. C'mon Raiders, grow a pair and play like you want to be there! EDIT: dodged a HUGE bullet there. D finally stiffened, got a sack, forced a FG attempt (missed!). Score currently still 31-21.

Clemson fans = total class act. You have made many of us Clemson fans because you represent your team and university so well. I ask that you don't go away now that the bowl game is over. Please? It is a game that could have gone either way - both teams' defense played lights out, and both teams should be proud of the effort. I think this game showed that both teams found the right guy to lead them, and the future looks much brighter for both. I seriously think you'll contend for the ACC next year. We're counting on you!

He didn't say anything to the Huskers, but to the Clemson players instead. He threatened to punch any CU guy who came within 10 feet of him during any given play. Clemson was literally too scared to win.

Can I use this thread to whine about CBS in general? Like a dumb a$$, I didn't set my DVR correctly for this game. Since we get the CBS College sports channel, I was hoping for a replay, since usually they are pretty good about that sort of thing. I just checked listings and they have NINE replays of the craptastic 3-0 Sun Bowl in the next 7 days, and none of the Gator Bowl.

Sker's pass D has been pretty mediocre most of the year, and run defense pretty stout. I'm not sure why they called the plays they did, just glad they did it.

darn it - a couple of you replied to my post and didn't even comment on my poor grammar. You people are slipping. (I used their versus there, which is actually a pet peeve of mine, and has now been edited!)

Oh, I agree whole heartedly with you that he wasn't ready then. The time spent with two other high-caliber college teams only served to help him. We just had to endure some rough times while he was getting more experience and different vantage/view points.

He did not embarrass us ALL, maybe just you. I was quite proud how he rallied the team in the face of adversity. Some of us even liked the fire. If you watched bowl games last year with interim head coaches (there were a lot), one, maybe two, interim coaches got that "W" -- that made me appreciate what he did in 2003 all the more. Besides, he couldn't have embarrassed everyone because I do believe there were chants from Nebraska fans during and after the game in favor of hiring him.

On my wish list is better tackling. That is all.

Absolutely positively correct about after #10 it goes downhill and very subject from there on out. If we are ranked, good, but I wouldn't bet on it. I personally don't need it to happen to get my validation about this team, though.

Man it felt like the Blackshirts were finally back. Super job, Defense! Even after the offense put the team behind the 8-ball, it was friggen awesome to watch the defense keep them in the game while the offense figured out a way to pull their heads out. Props to the whole team on this one -- it was definitely a team effort today. And props go to Clemson's defense. Those guys were completely sick and unreal. You guys find a bit of offense and you'll be ACC champs and Orange Bowl bound a year from now!

It was so obvious that he hadn't seen a minute of Nebraska football this year. I thought I heard him say something like "rout" and shook my head. I was also particularly intrigued by his comment regarding the Pelini's -- Carl is the more fired up one where Bo is more laid back, or something to that effect. That's when it was obvious he'd never watched Bo coach. Anyway, call bias and whatever else you want to -- I'm just happy it wasn't an ABC/ESPN crew calling it. It was actually a refreshing change since I hadn't built up such a strong dislike like some of you have. Even happier that the Huskers proved them wrong on almost all counts.

Maybe he didn't want another set of BOOOOO's in Lincoln next year. I'll miss his ability to make the Blackshirts look like all conference during their worst years. Who knows, though - with proper coaching he might actually amount to something more than a clipboard holder. (Hard to say that with a straight face, but could be true.)

Kudos for the best nickname ever. And, I really think he WILL be used in some offensive formations -- hopefully. It seems he was mostly used in the red zone (so if we see him in there, chances are good we're in good scoring position!!!)
