  1. Yeah, everybody has the crazy angry drunk fans. Tigerinnebraska just called out the wrong group of husker fans, as the guys on this board (everyone knows girls dont use innernets) are generally as classy as they come.
  2. You have not lived in nebraska since 93. If you even clapped for another team the put their fist in your face. My standard reply (which i used a few times) was if you hit me, I will not hit back. That way it is an assault, not a fight, and you (the deranged fan) will be arrested. Yeah, I do feel for you man, its gotta be tough living "behind enemy lines" amongst a really passionate, and, at times arrogant fanbase. Most of the guys here are pretty cool and aren't the "fist in your face" kind of fans though. I understand how you feel, this just isn't the right place to start something. Go Tigers!
  3. I'm confused. Is this a non-UNL fan working for a Lincoln radio station, or is he a Big Red fan who just likes to cause controversy, or whats the deal?
  4. A. The title of the thread should read 'If anyone wants to feel confident' B. Have some class. A. I'm still not sure that's what the title should be. maybe "If anyone feels confident" B. His challenge is apparently based on previous experience, still not the classiest thing ever, but I have no real problem with him issuing a challenge (though he could have worded it more nicely) C. I have a feeling this ends up in the woodshed
  5. Actually no he isn't. He is a hurdler not a 100m guy. CJ Spiller & Jacoby Ford are faster than him. Ford actually finished 3rd or 4th in the 100m NCAA final. 5th
  6. You're kidding right? Here's a hint: NU and KSU are both in the Big 12 North and will play each other on an annual basis. I think what he meant was...why is this posted in the "Husker Football" as opposed to being in the "Big 12 Sports". less people read "big 12 sports" (i know i dont...)
  7. Well said sir! I agree, I remember being in elementary school and the football players from the local high school would come visit once a year, it was the coolest thing ever, and those were just high school guys, maybe 2 of whom ended up on D1 rosters
  8. then be prepared for a fairly stiff defense but dbs that are 10 yards off the ball
  9. SWEET! agreed, I love sports memorabilia
  10. When Dabo took over at Clemson, one of the first things he did was take the entire team to the children's hospital in nearby Greenville. There was a huge reaction from the players due to this, who made it well known how much they drew from the experience. With another such opportunity being presented to them, I'm sure they jumped at the chance for a repeat of what they got to do earlier in the year. I'm not knocking Nebraska at all for a less-than-awesome turnout at the hospital, just trying to add a little background info to clarify
  11. I couldnt resist, we have this one signed by Perry Tuttle, wasn't a Christmas gift though
  12. I know this is intended for husker stuff, but I got some sweet Clemson pajama/lounge pants(great for procrastinating on those term papers) and i gave my little brother a sweet print of Death Valley.
  13. Wisconsin sucks this year....not sure I would hang to much on that blow out win. Oh I'm not, I would be embarrassed had it not been a blowout by the 'Noles. I was just pointing out that the losses have been by something like 10 points combined and the wins were a bit more decisive. Still plenty of bowls to go though.
  14. You may not know this but when Lou Holtz was traveling around doing signing for his book "Winning Every Day" last year I think, stops included Notre Dame and as well as other cities but not Columbia, South Carolina (home of USC jr). Go figure. Maybe he thought it was futile to expect the population there to 'win' everyday. he did spend his first year there 'losing' every saturday
  15. imho "Suhnami" should be yall's version of the wildcat, with Suh in the shotgun
  16. past tense you missed one. i fixed it for ya
  17. Half our D players were running backs in high school...who WASN'T a running back in high school? The point here IS, that you guys are playing up this speed differential thing WAY too much and apparantly have no clue that we have team speed too. The point has been made repeatedly that SPEED IS NOT EVERYTHING, ya gotta play as a team, ya gotta play smart. So, if you guys wanna get drunk on the of your 'speed superiority' that's fine. But if your speed was so great you shoulda won your own conference, right? You shoulda beat Maryland, GT, and Wake, etc. Ha, Nate Swift would be 'slow' by 'ACC Standards'(gosh, he only runs about a 4.6 40), but guess what, he took a punt 90 yds to the house vs?....waiting...VA Tech! Where were all their fast guys when he was running right past them? In fact, when was the last time Clemson won the ACC? 1991. From then 'til now, weren't you guys fast all those years too? I mean no disrespect here, but this is starting to feel like a conversation with Mizzou Fan. Tigers, k, makes sense. No really, you guys ARE faster, you win the track meet, now put the 'Rock' down and let's see if you can win the game... If you do, I will tip my hat to your team. My original DaQuan comment was meant to be in jest, and I'm sorry that it got blown out of proportion. The fact remains however, that we are a much more talented team than our record shows but we were shackled to an offense that relied heavily on the screen pass and 2-point stance blocking for half of the season. A few points about some of the losses you pointed out for us. (you'll say I'm making excuses but I'm really trying to create understanding, and help myself cope with our lackluster first half of the season) MD- we were dominating with our run game in the first half and the idiot coaches decided we were gonna pass the whole 2nd half (tommy bowden has this crazy complex about offenses needing to be balanced) GT- really close game, CJ Spiller didnt play a down due to an injury in the previous game Wake- no excuse whatsoever, it was just a horrible game.
  18. to be fair, the 3 losses were very close and NC State lost their QB at the half and fell apart, the 2 wins were a pretty good win by Wake and FSU dominating Wisconsin
  19. say what you want, he rushed for 1200 yards as a senior
  20. I dunno... DaQuan is pretty fast (played running back at his high school and dominated)
  21. that just might be the most amazing thing i've ever seen
