I watched a couple games. Those legs aren’t fluid at all. Hopefully his experience can carry him but I’m cautiously optimistic with this one

I literally just listened to Travis Kelce on a podcast talk about how he was suspended for his brothers senior of HS and college and couldn’t spend those years on the field together. Nobody’s perfect he didn’t have violent offense give the kid some grace

Except he won 2 CCG games and finished top 10 every other year. They needed someone to get over the hurdle we still need to get out the starting block

It can be done but we’ve been selling the new coach who’s going to restore order for a quarter of a century. These out of state top tier kids are gonna need to see some proof that it works. That’s just reality

Matt Stafford was the number 1 pick. They signed multiple 5 star qbs. Our situations are completely different

They were still relevant. Kirby didn’t walk into a dumpster fire. Mark richt was 145-51 with 2 conference championships and 6 appearances.

They still recruited at a high level. Won at a decent rate. Have a top 5 talent rich state. Nebraska has a bigger hill to climb then Georgia

Sims still has a redshirt year to use and it’s not like he has a bunch of success that can really make you think twice about what’s been said

Exactly. Me personally I don’t agree with opening that door to even bigger issues I’d rather live with the problems we have.

Football is played on the field. Yes upsets can happen and rankings aren’t always a true reflection of a team. The point is if their is no high quality criteria to get in the playoff it waters down the process. Non conference schedules and CC games are less and less important.

My point isn’t the top 4 it’s the fact that after 4 you had an entire year to be a top 4 team. Teams are playing 13-14 with the CCG games included and still don’t have more than 1 quality win. Utah lost to a average Florida team. USC beat a bunch of nobody’s. Penn st beat nobody and got dominated by the top 2 in the BIG. Clemson beat nobody. Tennessee faded at the end of the year. Once the criteria is to let these teams in it doesn’t stop there.

This I can agree with. Looking at the history of the BCS I wasn’t mad at it but once you start adding teams like Utah who really didn’t beat anybody except a fraud USC it starts to get carried away

Did I say top 3 teams or 3 teams? Sometimes the rankings may favor a team I don’t particularly like but their resume may beat out the #4 team. Your a sticking to this point looking for the got ya but my overall point is it really shouldn’t go beyond 4.

My original point is there is never really more than 3 contenders. What circumstances that go into the rankings are outside that point because I’m just saying it’s hard to justify adding anything beyond a 4 team playoff. It’s a group of 2 loss teams out there that didn’t beat anybody all year. Yea when you open it up these teams resume seem like they fit but personally I don’t wanna see a top 4 team vs the PAC 12

It’s not just because of tcu losing. Look at the average margin of victory in the semifinals. It’s just not enough parity in the sport. If you expanded past 4 it would’ve been Georgia vs bama

Realistically we know money wins and that’s why it’s expanding the same way the nfl expanded but swears they care about player safety. But there’s just no way you ever have 3 realistic teams that deserve and are capable of being the champ. Winning your conference and playing a competitive schedule should be enough

2-3 great teams EVERY year. That’ll do it.

I’m not trying to discredit tcu because they easily could’ve folded 3 outta the last 4 weeks and they found a way to win. But when you add in the conversation of a 12 team playoff ask how legitimate this conversation goes beyond 4. IMO the bcs never got it wrong.

Please list me the best wins by tcu or the team that beat them in the CCG. If anything this model is showing your body of work can be overrated based on conference affiliation.
