  1. Man, I can't even get excited on big plays like that. This whole things just feels very empty to me. The place i have gotten to with this team officially sucks.
  2. Bo's entire tenure just ticks me off so much right now. If we had kicked Beck to the curb and gotten a proven, established offensive coordinator who ran his own successful system instead of trying to let Tim learn on the fly, imagine where we could be right now. We could have an offense that doesn't have "shooting itself in the foot" as its most consistent trait, and Bo could just teach defense. What a waste of time letting Timmy learn on the job.
  3. OH MY GOD. OH MY ACTUAL GOD. THEY JUST SAID THAT. PELINI HAS PLAYED OUTSTANDING THIS YEAR. CAP LOCKS SATURDAY.
  4. Proven to suck in the games that matter? I assume that's what he meant. I don't see how that's wrong.
  5. For the first time in a long time I'm just not excited for a game. Oh well... Go Skers

  6. The awkwardness of Paps reacting to Stafford is PRICELESS. He looks scared. Almost makes this whole mess worth it.
  7. Clearly you have been in the Bo-leaver camp longer than some. I don't know why, but I was willing to give him one more year after last year, since we had such a ridiculously talented SR RB, all the pieces we needed on D, and a mostly cupcake schedule. Once again, we've fumbled a golden opportunity. I'm now over there with you. Hope the eatin' is good.
  8. There's just so many valid complaints with the staff at this point, it gives me a headache.

Know why we still use Nuprin 'round these parts Carlfense?

      We fear change...

Seriously though, we've got no one taking responsibility, excuses being made left and right by staff AND players, a DC who doesn't know what "collective decision" means, players yelling at the fans through various media, another missed chance at a trophy... Just feels so dysfunctional.

  9. That picture perfectly encapsulates Cotton's contribution to the OL this year. Literally turned around watching his RB get blown up while blocking no one. Oy...
  10. Damn. I'm all for kids having fun, I really am. That's part of the experience and something would be seriously wrong if they weren't having fun. You know what's REALLY fun? Winning championships.
  11. Guys, guys... Why don't we just have Scott Shanle teach our defense?

  12. Again, you notice this because you are a Husker fan. Its a weak argument on your part. No, Iowa fans, Michigan Fans, and many other fans notice this as well. I can also pull articles about Bo's demeanor outside of nebraska as well if you'd like. There are articles out there of other coaches as well. Bo is not the only coach that yells. Alexhortdog is doing a pretty damn good job of showing it but you must have your blinders on or have him on ignore. Hold the phone, my friend....LOL The only reason why I was putting those pictures up there was to say that most of those head guys have actually WON something or played for something important. Saban - Winner. Meyer - Winner. Tuberville - Winner. Kelly - Winner-ish (so far, the verdict is still out on him). Belechick - Winner. Funny trivia note - He used to be Nick Saban's boss in Cleveland. Bo? Nope, not so much. You can get away with screaming and hollering for the most part if you are actually winning games of note. The funny thing is, Bo yells and hollers and loses it exclusively in the blowout losses, which ends up making players lose their composure and makes things worse...
  13. This whole discussion is a farce. Handing them out after a good game is dumb. We're never going to have a consistently dominant defense like back in the day (or offense, for that matter) under Bo. It's a by-product of the coach. Consistency, confidence, and attitude evade this entire squad... And that's pervasive.
  14. Well, we dont know what he thinks yet though. Find out, hopefully, on saturday. Wow. Late nights at work getting the best of me. Reading comprehension obviously isn't my string suit right now. Make sure you report back. I'm fascinated to see what you can dig up. I can't imagine what the rationale is if he still does have strong support, but he did weather last year somehow. The way you described the guy, this is what I envision when you mention bean: With any luck, bean will wind up in Jail.
  15. Thanks for the insight Count. Hopefully the rest of the bigwigs think like that guy. I think Bo would love to succeed. I just think he's stubbornly going about it very poorly (his way) and therefore I'm done waiting for the guy to produce. You've been a jerk to the fan base in the past, the media as well, and don't have the results to back it up. There's a reason none of those teams interested in Bo at year's end have ever amounted to anything. I truly think NU is the nest he could do, and we're finding out it is a bit too ambitious for him.
  16. That this post shows a misunderstanding of the fundamental nature of a very devoted fan. If everyone posting in this thread, or all of the threads after the Wiscy game, were nothing but negative all the time, there would be a point here. But we aren't. Mostly, most of us are mostly happy. Most of us hate nothing (except losing, and being a laughingstock across the college football world). I'm a Bo supporter, believe it or not. I still think he needs to not be the head coach here anymore. I'm a Kenny Bell fan, believe it or not. Still think he needs to stop trying to "educate" fans that are, for the most part, older than him and have been fans of this program since before he was born. I'm a Tim Beck fan. I'm a Barney Cotton fan. John Garrison fan. Ross Els fan. But none of them should be coaching here. There's no hate involved in that belief, just an observation based on the product they put on the field. No, everyone here isn't personally wrapped up in these kids playing this game. But we are avid fans of college football, and for the most part we know what good football is, and we know when we aren't seeing it. That's what we're (mostly) saying here. Knapp you are the voice of reason on this board. All I could do was throw smart ass gifs at the guy.x2. Very well said Knapp. You truly encapsulate the thoughts of the dirty, wretched masses that frequent this board, and we're thankful for it. There's a distinction between hating a guy and wanting them elsewhere for the sake of the program. Likewise, there's a difference between hating a guy and wishing they'd stop running their mouth futilely to people who are a LOT smarter than he thinks.

  18. KNAPP BURN!!! Or, as it was originally known...
  19. This staff and now players are raising the biggest Strawman I've ever seen. It'd make some of you proud.

  20. What's sad is we've actually regressed. We used to get to title games yearly and lose them close. Now we either get beat down or don't make it at all. Big 12... :'(
  21. Sip is a total puppet. Good god. The hypocrisy is strong in Kenny Bell. The coaches would have problems putting food on their table about as much as he'd have "problems" paying the electric company. You should have to be GOOD at your job to keep it. Several of our staff are not. No, Kenny, it's not like the mailman dropping A letter. It's like him stealing my damn Playboy. For seven years. If I catch THAT mailman, he better be ready for me to beat some @$$.
  22. +1Damon Benning said yesterday on his morning radio show "you have to model what you preach." If you are the head coach and are asking your players to stay focused, composed, but yet you are blowing up in players' faces or in the faces of the refs, then you are not modeling what you preach to the players, and eventually they will tune you out, and your antics just become white-noise. And this is exactly what's happening. Whens the last time you saw Bo yelling at another coach or player, and they just took it with a rolling eyes "Bo bein Bo" look on their face. No reaction at all. It's reached that point. I'm curious how much the players are tuning him out vs. how much they're scared to take on a leadership role with that guy stalking around on the sidelines. Who wants to stand up to that?
  23. No, we are not. But that also doesn't mean the answer is just fire everybody. I think Pelini believed our offensive line would be better......absolute underperformance. I don't have an opinion one way or the other about Garrison because I don't know. I've heard good things about Foster and Farmer. I hope they're ready. They are needed. Yesterday. Our LB corp is similar.......and my view of Ells is like Garrison in that I just don't know. We should have a linebacker with 120+ tackles. Pelini said after spring ball that we needed a linebacker to step forward. Hasn't happened. And I know Pelini is aware our offense is horrendous. He's alluded to that in his past two pressers. You're right. We're not maximizing the potential of the backers by not coaching them up well enough. How is that OK by Pelini? With the way his defense have thrived with a strong, gamechanging linebacker out there making plays everywhere, how is he ok with this underperforming slop we see week to week? And I wouldn't put it past Barney and Garrison to squander Farmer and Foster's potential either. All the more reason to can this staff and get some real coaches in here.
