Let me first send my condolences to the people and families that have been effected by a drunk driver. These are bad situations and hard times. It is also very hard if not impossible to convey this exactly to another person that has not gone through a similar situation. Yes, Niles made a mistake. I do feel that the punishment should fit the "crime". IMO, he should be suspended for the spring game and the first 3 - 4 games next season. As some else has stated, Bo is going to have a tough time in doing something like this because of the one game suspension handed to Hunter for a 2nd offense. But I do believe the punishment should be more than 1 game. Just my two cents.

I thought this was a pretty well written article, props to badgerhusker. It is fact that they are rated 7th in the conference in the preseason polls. It is his opinion seeing them finish in 4th or 5th. Keep in mind that all the would have/could have/should have played college ball is irrelevant to this article. Does playing for long periods of time give you an understanding of the game? The answer is yes. Does this mean anyone person can say this team will end up at this position at the end of the season? No. Hence Cinderella stories, teams that bust, etc. That's why they play the games, because no one can soundly say what will happen over a season. Again this is just my opinion.

I'm curious if it has anything to do with them still going after highly recruited Qb's when we had 3 deep already. He was, as far as I know, the front-runner going into this year, but what does it speak when they are going for another "franchise" player when you would only be a sophmore? Just a thought.

As much as I don't want to see him leave. It will be tough to keep him from a DC job, considering ties on both sides of the fence. Keep in mind I really want him to stay with the Huskers, just going to be tough to do IMO

I haven't been able to follow the basketball team that much this year. But what I have seen of them, they have been playing more pressure defense. Some full court press and such. I haven't seen that today. Do they feel Kansas is too quick?
