  1. Speaking usually reflects what's going on in someone's(the coach's) head and, therefore, usually what gets translated onto the field. That's my point. Bo was a pretty good example of that, not a great communicator, hence, relatively sloppy team at times, IMO. You actually are basing these mistakes by the team on Bo not being able to talk well in a press conference? Really???? Uh, no, I'm basing Bo's mistake prone NE teams on his relative inability to communicate well to the team. It is teaching, after all. I'm making this assumption the only way a fan can, by the way he communicated at press conferences. So, I'm saying, again, that Riley doesn't impress me as a great communicator, hence, I'm uneasy about him, his ability to convey concepts to his team. Yeah, I'm saying that. Bo's own lack of self discipline, anger issues, inability to hire experts as assistant coaches, unwillingness to make changes to his defensive scheme when the world could see it wasn't working and his inability to get along with his superiors (anger issues) had WAY more to do with his team's lack of success than him not being able to communicate in a press conference. This is why I think Riley wins 11 this year!
  2. The weather might not be warm enough and sunny enough to get a big walk-up crowd.
  3. I read this article when if first came out...it seemed SOOOOOO made up, like, it read like it was a Lifetime Movie...I could basically picture Billy Zabka (of Karate Kid fame) playing the rich white snobby frat guy that lured the innocent "Jennifer Lawrence" into the dark scary frat bedroom while all of Billy Zabkas polo wearing, Izod dressed, boat shoes, vodka breathed buddies were waiting. Ohhhh wait...maybe James Spader would be better in the lead role of the bad guy.
  4. I am starting to think the weather is going to suck on Saturday in Lincoln. Days before are all rainy and the day after is rainy. LAME

Yea I'm with Lyons, no rain but cloudy won't bother me a bit. I'm up top on the east so I don't need the sun anyway.

  5. Dang...that is cold blooded...i gotta think that means everyone on this site is a quitter. And I agree..Smith knows it is about him...even if it is not about him...if that makes sense
  6. How is that classless? Maybe that is message for guys like Hammond who are down. He is showing them that hardwork will get you there. Maybe it is...maybe it isn't. But if I inferred it that way...I would imagine that Smith would as well. But I don't think it is a stretch thinking that it is a bit petty. I mean, if it is for guys that are down...why not direct message them...or call them...text them...or wait...even meet with them! I mean, we just spent 3 pages and 150 posts about McMullen tweeting something vague...I think it is safe to say that it is easy to interpret things many different ways. Sorry but i dont feel bad for a guy who quit on his temmates. If Tarin doesnt like it, dont quit on your team because things are not perfect. I don't feel bad for him either. But if you can find a better spot you take it...we do it all the time with jobs...do you feel like that is "quitting on your co-workers" when you take a situation you think is going to be better for you?

Why not write him a letter and have a man on a horse deliver it Wow!

  9. I would hope not...I think Harriman also needs to understand that Kaminsky had no big offers BUT Wisconsin out of high school...unless you want to count DePaul as a big offer. Basically, Frank had no place he could transfer to.
  10. Yikes...that is classless and he better hope it is not interpreted the wrong way by recruits and high school coaches...
  11. HAHA! How nice would it be if it was just normal scoring...best vs best and maybe no running clock until the 4th...
  12. I think that we all know there will not be any adapting by the coaches...It is the players that will have to adapt or not play. We do? Yeah, we do. I would be kind of crazy for Riley and Langy to toss out some 40 years of coaching experience in one system that they believe in. I read that Riley and Langsdorf were not thrilled about QB accuracy in yesterdays breezy practice. I certainly hope Riley listened to the key piece of wisdom that Osborne directly gave him. Me too!

  15. Started on another site and thought I would bring it here...and add a few Attendance: O/U 74,500 Temperature: O/U 74 degrees Amount of drinks you have: O/U 5 Amount of carries for Adam Taylor: O/U 12.5 Amount of yards thrown for by Bush: O/U 175 Amount of Bars you hit: O/U 3 Amount of tailgate spots you hit: O/U 3 Number of times you hear someone say something like "We got BUSH!": O/U 4 Number of hot girls wearing red jeans or white shorts: O/U 15
  16. Rememer that prediction? You had him starting over Tommy by the FAU game last year. Not picking on you, but it's almost been funny as I've watched you and Landlord completely jump ship on all these grandiose predictions you guys had for the kid and debated with me about a season ago. Now we're talking about him transferring. I got nothing against him, if the coaches said he was the man, I'd root for him, but many here were crowning the kid and he hadn't even done anything yet. Sooooo true!
  17. I think that you are in the same boat as I am...TA is who he is... Look, this staff may be more experienced and there may be a QB coach now but lets not pretend like they can make anyone a good QB...you still need a really good starting point and TA is who he is...a 55% passer for the most part.
  18. Riley looks for tangibles, which Stanton has. None of these QBs have been coached by the old staff. We knew what we had before Riley got here. People expect too much, as we have only had 3 weeks of practice with the first being an observation week. I bet if T-Mart had this new staff coaching him he would have completed 100% of his passes, not just 65%...since the last staff did not coach the QB's at all.
  19. I think this will be my concern all season...I just don't think that college coaches really develop QB's all that much, I think you are what you are by the time you are in college (not always but for the most part), I don't see TA hitting 65% of his passes even with all the coaching/experience that the staff has. I think being a junior now means that TA is who he is going to be.
  20. Spring Game Weather: 73 and sunny...or it is going to be horrible out.

  21. I guess Riley letting his guys do what they do kinda makes sense but I would wager he is more involved than that suggests. Oh kay? I kind of believe Stanton not looking good. Barely any mentions of him thus far. Really a damn shame he didn't pan out, guessing he transfers. That last bit sounds like BS. Football practice has a lot of standing around, it really does. Shoot I have had rosters of 20-40 player and there is standing around. The idea that you are using every second of practice all the time is crazy. You do your cals, your indy time and team time. Once you get to team time there are lots of players standing around. With that said, I would think a staff with 300 years of coaching experience would find better ways, like they did with the split up of the players at the start (which I think might be part of the reason that the offense looks horrible right now)
  22. I predict 1 RB with over 130 and another with over 75 in that game Now that I think about it, isn't BYU supposed to have a pretty lame defense?
  23. I really think the offense is going to streeeeeeeeeeeeeeugggggggggggllllllllllllllleeeeeeeee! I predict no RB with over 50 yards rushing vs BYU I also predicted that cell phones would "never be popular" so...keep that in mind.
  24. Man...How do you guys act when a girl texts you something? Oh wait...never mind.
