  1. Lets help the RiledUppers start this off... 1. Michigan always had good recruits... Well, they did have the #10 defense in 2014 under Hoke.... So they went from 10 to 4...nice! What did NU do? from like 59th to 39th? Right? By the end of the year Banker seemed to have things going better. Nebraska clearly took a step back. But I thought we were talking Michigan No they didn't, not statistically on defense.

But I thought we were talking Michigan no, every thread on the board is really about finding a way to trash riley and his staff. btw, wtf is a riledupper? First you will have to explain what btw and wtf mean.
  3. Comparing Riley's age to Saban's age is as lame as comparing Bo's record of 9 wins to Saban's 9 wins... Saban is leaving on his terms, recruits know that
  4. You get a bit edgy every time blow up your narrative. Sorry about that. Remember, Right 99.35% #BOOM Ha! Awesome!
  5. So, it is office...everything that Sam writes is always 100% accurate...ALWAYS. Right RADAR?
  6. It pissed off more than donors...thank god.
  7. Bill Self on recruiting: "If you are hearing yes more than no...you are not going after the right guys"
  8. He has plausible deniability on the Bert offer. But not on the policy change. That was a bold faced lie. NO it wasn't. Changing your mind on how you handle something, whether you like it or not, is not a lie. I don't drink Sunday through Thursday. But if I decide to have a beer on a Tuesday, it doesn't make me a liar. I think people get caught up on the word "liar" Example...you are a sales guy and applying for a new gig...you were responsible for 9.75 million in sales at your last job...on your resume you put down "Responsible for 10 million in sales" Did you lie? Sure...are you a liar? Sure...is it a big deal? Only if someone wants to make it one. SE might not have "offered" the job to anyone else but he sure as heck might have had some other people put out a few feelers. I know what you are trying to say but it isn't the same thing. Exactly! That is why people get caught up with the word "liar" This is why I personally get caught up in the word lie. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/lie It is very hard to prove a "lie". You can believe it was a lie, but proof is much more difficult. Yep!

  11. By being convinced that SE did NOT talk to other other coaches about the NU job only makes him look worse! There is no way, none, that he knew he was canning Bo as the season came near the end and thought "Wow, this is great, looks like I am the only one in on Mike Riley right now...I better close this sweet deal up FAST before anyone else goes after him...and I also won't be putting any feelers out there to see who might be interested"
  12. Why would people not want to believe that we were talking to other coaches about coaching here? Because specifically mentioned coaches weren't approached? I mean... that's kinda a good reason, right? No, not really. There was zero mention of Riley until he was hired but clearly he was being approached...I think most of us thought SE was talking to coaches about the job.
  13. They ALL dirty recruit... It is as simple as "Are you sure you wanna be at a school so far from home?" "Do you think Coach X will be there for 5 more years?" "Do you think that RADAR will say you are toxic?"

  15. Well...you can call anyone a liar... SE better have talked to BB and JH and Saban and Petterson and Mora and PC...good lord...the fact that people think it would have been BAD if SE contacted and offered the job to other coaches is insane. I hope he lied about "not offering" the job to about 25 other coaches before Riley. That is his job...find the best coaches
  16. Based on the limited number of teams that have won championships over the last 20 years, it has bitten almost all of them in the balls. Please explain how it bite them in the balls. That is exactly what the AD needs to say to keep the team motivated for the next staff. His job at that point is to keep the team together and looking forward to the next staff. We already had one AD stand up and say just the opposite and we ended up having lots of transfers....etc. I just meant that way more times than not, when an AD fires a coach and hires a new one, there is usually talk of "the next level" or "championship caliber football", etc. And more times than not, it doesn't happen, obviously. Nothing more than that. True!

We already had one AD stand up and say just the opposite and we ended up having lots of transfers....etc. Well...like right now on message boards...it is biting him. Just like the comment he made about Iowa...came back to bite him. I agree it is the stuff that AD's need to say...but in the end those comments made him look like a fool..."Read my lips...no new taxes"
  18. Totally! They all basically say that stuff...and sometimes it comes back to bite them in the balls.
  19. Yep But even worse, they threw the players under the bus in order to "cover their backsides". And even worse than that... and the part I cant even hardly think about... is they appear to have used Boyds reputation and standing... the one guy who really does have a great reputation in the program... in their attempt to "cover their backsides". I really feel bad for Boyd. If this had only been about performance testing and making those numbers public again then it wouldn't have been a problem. Virtually everyone agrees that's a good thing. But when they injected the other needless and inflammatory stuff about needing to recruit "more talented" players and the stuff about the current players needing too much developing and coaching... in order to "cover their backsides for a bad year"... that's when the public relations scheme crashed in a ball of flames. Anytime you and your ilk don't like the message, you call the messenger a liar. Its BS and its getting old. You do realize that the "messenger" said this a year ago... So... what were you saying about lying again? So he realized he was wrong, big f'ing deal. That does not make him a liar. I have no doubt the Pelini fortress was hard to see inside. Think you can find that mountain after tripping over the mole hole? So you're changing the rules again? Eichorst says after firing Pelini that he thinks we have the players to win championships. Then Boyd comes in and puts actual measurements to that thought and shows we don't. It doesn't make a guy a liar. Does it make him an uninformed doofus that says things before he has the correct information?

Think you can find that mountain after tripping over the mole hole? Was SE wrong about anything else? yes agreed...about a recent hire... Incorrect! About a recent fireing, he waited a year to long and should have fired the D-bag after he got his whiney a$$ kicked at home by Iowa and begged to be fired. Hey! we all make mistakes. Wait...so a certain coach that got their ass kicked by Iowa...You will have to narrow down who that coach might be.. I was actually talking about a recent hire that he made in the accounting department for the Athletic Office...I thought he should have went with Bob Schmekie instead of Alan Smithson.

  22. Matt Vrzal on the radio yesterday said that "Boyd is a bit of a sandbagger and 1.5 years is actually more like 9 months." Meaning that by the start of the season this should be mute/moot/silent/donzo

  24. Wait...I thought kids committed to the school not the coach...
