  1. I can't wait until ND plays some real competition and gets lit up.
  2. Football is his focus, but yes he is planning to give it a try and play both sports. He plays SS. Now for some sad news: As some of you may have read or (notice the boot at the game), Bobby injured his foot a few weeks back. It was not getting better so when we got back from Nebraska he went to a Ortho specialist. It was not required, but the best course of action for this injury was surgery. He had it done Thurs AM & the Doctor said it went fine and he will be back to 100% very soon. Bobby was hoping to return to the field in time for the playoffs, but his health will / must be the first priority & whatever the Dr says will be the course he takes. We are currently the #1 rated team in Div II in the state & Bobby is very disappointed that he may not get a change to compete for a championship. We have spoken with the coaches of his top College choices (including Nebraska) and the injury does NOT effect his scholarship offers. I know there will be many who wish him well and a speedy recovery so in advance. Thanks for the kind works & thoughts. that is unfortunate, i hope he gets well soon.
  3. I really like how Bo is making a concerted effort to gain recruits in FL. Depending on how the chips fall next season we could have the #1 recruit from TX (A. Green) and the #1 recruit from FL (T. Moore).
  4. bass do you know what position he is being recruited for?
  5. video: plays mostly wingback in this video.
  6. Video: the one word that describes how he plays is "physical." looks pretty darn good in the video. He definitely needs to work on wrapping up, but he isn't afraid to throw his body at anyone.
  7. I wouldn't be too sad to get two florida boys.
  8. either way you look at it we have to prove how good we are on the field. But we are going to beat the bricks off Mizzou. I think we are have learned some things these first few games. Our D is potentially something special. Our O has more talent than we did last year, and Brooks needs to see the field.
  9. d*** this is bad anyway you stretch. feel bad for the guy, he is a great talent.
  10. i hope the guys from florida are the recruits in the same boat as him.
  11. Neb has the #3 scoring D, if we can keep this up...
  12. Southern Miss. Southern Miss. It is true that they always play each other hard, but that does not discredit what Neb. did in Blacksburg. As for you comment out the score being different if they had played in the Orange Bowl, while the score might have been different VT would have still won. They were just more physical than Miami. As for us playing you guys in Lawrence, umm unless ya'll get better or something changes Neb. is going to bring out the big stick and whack away. Please! Miami has played 3 straight ranked opponents. Try playing 3 straight and bring your A game to each one of those games. It's a very difficult thing to do for college kids. For anyone to say Nebraska or anyone else in the North for that matter, is better than Miami is delusional. Miami has more team speed than Nebraska could ever imagine. That goes for KU and everyone else in the North. 2 different levels of competition. You can't just point to one game and proclaim you're better because of that. Could Nebraska go into FSU and win? Could they beat Georgia Tech at home??? Seriously...ask yourself that before you start saying you're better than Miami. As for KU, don't worry about us. Unlike you we took care of business in the non conference. We beat Southern Miss and our defense won the game for us. Southern Miss will likely win Conference USA. They're a good football team and played like it. It was a good win for the Jayhawks. Regardless of their rank, they played a team that barely beat Jacksonville State and a team that had played 3 games in 12 days. I'm not saying we are better than Miami, but don't take away from our performance against VT. As for your argument that Miami has more team speed, yes they do, but speed means nothing unless you are in the right place. I also recall people using that against us when we played Clemson. Oh yeah I'm not worrying about KU, I expect Neb to beat KU. maybe not 90's style but something pretty close. Kudos you did beat your non-conference opponents, the dreaded Duke Blue Devils, the fearsome Miners from UTEP, and mighty Nothern Colorado. I normally don't talk trash but you were running off at the mouth.

  14. Unfortunately unranked teams that beat top 10 teams may leap frog us. yea i forgot ole miss loss and it looks like cal is about to lose. but i still think we move up.
  15. Well....I think a lot of people believe VT is overrated.....a lot of people will now believe Miami is overrated. It could just be that VT is a good football team and maybe we are a better football team than we realize....it could be. To early to tell. I hope this is the case. The Big 12 schedule will bear this out. I'm hopeful that we really have turned the corner and what we will see is superior play from NU. We can hope! we will be ranked at least 2 spots higher with FSU and UNC losing.
  16. i think the big twelve is wide open. i expect us to win the north and would be shocked if we don't. back to the topic though, miami needs to stop rushing ttaylor so much and just try to contain him. he keeps on breaking off big yards. as for miami's offense they don't seem to physical enough to establish the run and their passing game is hurting because of the bad weather.
  17. Texas offensive lineman Dalvin Glass hasn't set any official visits yet and says he won’t take any until after his senior season is over. “I’ll probably wait until December,” Glass said. “I’ll probably just try and take a few visits and decide after that." He says he’s narrowed down his list to Tennesssee, Kansas State and Alabama. “They’re pretty much the ones that are recruiting me the...” I think we stopped recruiting him when he ballooned up from 315 to 350 over the summer. Bo seems to like kids that are fit. http://nebraska.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=...d2%26c%3d902900
  18. DeAndrew White (Galena Park, Texas/North Shore) is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state of Texas. A four-star receiver, who's blessed with sprinter's speed, soft hands and a uber competitive attitude, White has been at the top of many programs' wish list for nearly a year. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder has stayed quiet about the process for the most part as he continues to look into every program that has offered. White currently has more than 20 offers, with the latest coming from the second-ranked Texas Longhorns when defensive ends coach Oscar Giles offered White two weeks ago. "I don't have a top five or anything," White said. "I'm still exploring my options. Alabama, Baylor, Texas Tech, Florida and Texas A&M are recruiting me the hardest. I haven't set up any visits, but I plan to take some in October. I'm still deciding who I'll visit," Texas might be arriving late to the party, but that doesn't mean the Longhorns don't have a chance with White. "I talked to them last week. They wanted me to go to their game against Texas Tech, but I couldn't make it," White said. "They are there with everybody else. I'm still exploring all of my options. When I visit schools, I'll know the school for me. It will have the right atmosphere." Here's who a few of the programs Texas is battling -- these are the ones White says are recruiting him the hardest -- with White's breakdown on each of the five" • Alabama: "They have been with me the whole way. I like their offense and program." • Florida: "Their offense is a nice spread offense and they throw the ball a lot. Vance Bedford is recruiting me." • Baylor: "They've got a good quarterback and a nice offense. I'm also running track in college, so they would be a good track school too." • Texas A&M: "Van Malone is recruiting me. They have a nice offense with a lot of weapons." • Texas Tech: "They throw the ball a lot and have a nice spread offense. " link
  19. and all of these receivers were silenced in a big game. i'm not saying they aren't talented but i would love to have a big time receiver to go along with helu, lee, and mcneil. since we won't get hat 5 star guy i think we are going to need immense competition to get our guys to that next level. And what exactly makes you so sure that these 17 year old kids are going to be the big time receivers that we're lacking. When most of our current guys were recruited, they were considered big time receivers too. Don't assume, because, recruiting is a crapshoot and no one honestly knows how any one kid will pan out. i guess i hit a nerve. i'm not saying that any of these kids are going to be the next coming, but what i am saying is that by providing more competition we have a better shot.

  21. These projections are kind of bogus (i.e. there is no way in the world UF beats BAMA playing like did against Tenn.)
  22. Very true and a good point. Based on the VT game, remembering that VT was held to 155 yards by Alabama and only beat up on a suspect Marshall team--is it your contention that we have a great defense? If so then of course we won't have to score as many points. If we were playing OU yesterday with or without Bradford I think we would have lost big. I fear to a lessor extent the same thing for TT and KU and Misery. In the big 12 we will not have a dominant defense against the south teams or KU or MU in the norht that can shut them down. Most will agree we have to score a lot of points to be successful in the Big 12. I agree with that. Our most important need is to be able to score and score a lot against league defense. Offensive improvement is essential. I disagree. OU lost to BYU, who many thought was going to be a BCS buster. BYU got throttled by FSU...a team many think isn't as good as they show. OU's O-line is still very suspect right now. They've beat up on two low-level teams and when pressured by a mid-tier team, they lost. OU is not the dominant force people thought they were going to be. I think our D is one of the best in the Conference right now. Barring a complete and utter meltdown by the players after this loss, they're going to rebound and play with some intensity. I agree with most of what you said. I think our first team defense is better than anyone in the big 12, but OU has quality depth in their D. I think that game is going to be better than a lot of people are suspecting.
  23. We may drop out, not because we didn't perform, but you had FSU and Washington that are going to have to move into the polls.
  24. if our offensive had gotten their *** in the endzone we wouldn't be talking about #33. He played a good game, can't fault if for not playing a stellar one.
