  1. Take away UNL and Lincoln not only stops thriving but it doesn't survive as we know it. There are too many people who want to complain about the University but live here precisely because they love all of the benefits that come both directly and indirectly from the University. Those people can complain but I don't see them moving to Grand Island (and I can knock it because I grew up there).
  2. True enough swmo. I just hope we get him here. Then we can worry about where he is best suited.
  3. That is a pretty good top group to be in for a running back. It seems like many posters aren't as high on this kid as they should be. He has good film against great competition. Very athletic for a big back. Nice vision too. Let's reel this kid in. You're right but I just think many of us are really hoping for Ballage and when comparing the two I think most of us would take Ballage hands down. If we can't land Ballage then I think London would be a good alternative. I like ballage but I think he is more of a LB. I agree with just trying to get him on campus and see where he plays out bc he is such a great athlete. If we are recruiting a guy to play running back I think this is our guy. When I look at the Ballage's film I just don't see a great LB. Everything about him measurable wise made me think he would be a great LB but he just doesn't play at LB with any aggression or ferocity. When he is running with the ball it looks like he isn't going to let anyone stop him but when he is on D he just looks like he is going through the motions. JMO. And i for one love him at running back. He reminds me of LP.
  4. Well his Hudl highlights have him listed at 215 so he might be a bigger than the 202 listed on Rivals. He really looks like he would be a great fit for our Peso. Super atheletic, aggressive and a very good tackler as well. Probably shouldn't get my hopes up too much with that LSU offer though huh?
  5. Made his top 5. Does anyone know if we are recruiting him for S or LB? I would be really suprised if LSU was projecting him at LB at that weight. The kind of kids we have been recruiting at LB since joining the B1G has been much heavier as well.
  6. Agreed. He is a good talent, but idk if he fits what Bo is trying to do. This. If he did he would have gotten offered sooner. Just the facts. He fits Stanford's defense better, that's why he probably picks them, and I say good luck. I hope you're wrong. I love D-lineman who are great wrestlers. But like you said, I wish him well if he ends up at Stanford. The #1 rush D in the nation last year. That's a great situation to end up in, not to mention the academics. I do think that he would excel here as well though.
  7. I think not having a big prime time match-up this year hurts us here. You would have to think that if we were playing tOSU or Michigan or even Wisky at home this year Lamin would at least want to come on an official to watch a great game. Then who knows once he sees what we have to offer. We are going to struggle to get at least some recruits here for this reason alone this year.

  9. Yeah? Well, both of those boards found you to be SOOOO ANNOYING. Yeah that is a little hard to believe. If anything I would think it is the other way around. I'm guessing there is a whole lot of minor stuff that gets swept under the rug by officers who have a rooting interest. I'm guessing a lot of players have got a good scolding and been told don't do it again or else.
  10. Were those blades on the right originally as wide as the blades of turf on the left? Man, if so that really did take a beating. I assume the cleats and sun just kind of shred it over time?
  11. Yeah candyman I think he is going to transition to college as well as any Freshman back we've had since Ahman Green (and I think that is saying something). There have been others who have done well as freshman, like DeAngelo Evans or Rex Burkhead, but I think Adam's ceiling is higher. And that is saying a lot as well because both of those guys were studs. I don't think Adam will have huge numbers this year because of the guys ahead of him but by years end I think they will be trusting him in crunch time with the rock.
  12. What really gets me is if you have that much money then take a damn cab! Please just take a cab. Do you have to show off your car? Do you really enjoy driving drunk THAT much? Take a frikkin cab!!!!
  13. I will be livid if Ballage ends up at Michigan. I still feel confident we can get him here though.
  14. Don't forget about Travis Lewis. I think he is numero uno on the heart breaker chart for me.
  15. It should look about the same color of green once they get those cork granules all over the field. That Tulsa field changes quite a bit in color after the cork is laid down.
  16. Or he would have a hard time moving away from his family. Hopefully the distance card will sway him our way for a change.
  17. Who knows maybe if he actually takes an official here and really sees up close what we have to offer maybe he will want to be here. I really would have liked to see him at least visit before he decomitted.
  18. PORK CHOP!!! That's funny that you say that cause he reminds me a little bit of pork chop! Except for much faster.
  19. That doesn't look like Nebraska's colors, but I could be wrong. Granted he didn't kick while he was here, but Suh did kick a couple times in games. So I'm going to pretend he was our last black place kicker.
  20. I just don't think the Tavon Austin comparison is quite right ADS. Not trying to nitpick. To me Austin was a Wr. who was versatile enough to carry the ball. but Stewart is the opposite. A back who is versatile enough to line up wide and catch the ball. I see the comparison in terms of skill set but I think LS's body is going to develop a little differently. When you look at Austin's HS film he had kind of a lanky build (even though he was short) and just filled out like a WR. When you look at Stewart he is just thick. I think he is going to develop like one of those little bowling ball kind of running backs. Austin looked fragile at his HS playing weight. Stewart is solid.
  21. I was out to eat with my wife tonight and Adam was at the table next to me. I tried not to gawk but, you know I'm an Adam Taylor fan. I wanted to go say welcome to Nebraska and all but my wife wouldn't let me. So two observations. 1) He has excellent taste in women. 2) Can I get that kids birth certificate. My wife was very suprised when I told her he was only 18. He is a MAN.
  22. I for one would be "jumper cables all up on my nuts" shocked if we went 7-5 next year.
