Okay LOM ,Moiraine, you both know I was the first on this board to claim foul when Pelini was hired. Hated the man, and was pretty relentless in that from then until the day he left. Prior action when leaving after his first time at Nebraska. I said I saw him as trying to help someone, that no one would normally help. Trying to change their life, and in doing that risking what reputation he has. It was a step in the right direction for him. Whether it be, a drug addict, murderer or rapist (kid was 16 and drunk) he stuck his neck out for him, and then fought for him. To me it proved what some have said on the board, he was all about the kids. Would I ever want him to coach anyone I knew? NO. Do I think he should be coaching at the collegiate level? NO. But that does not mean I can't think better of him for what he was trying to do. Kids make mistakes, sometimes big mistakes. The real mistake is when adults do not realize things can change.

Not a Pelini fan by any means, has nothing to do with his coaching ability. Did some things in the past that I was not in agreement with. But read a story this summer about a young man that had gotten in trouble in high school, sexual assault. Coach Pelini became sold on the kid and went to work on getting the kid shaped up and flying right, he made the team, but the school found about the past and the students wanted him gone. Coach Pelini worked very hard to keep his word to the kid and got him back on the team. It does show he is steadfast on he beliefs and truly is helping a kid that most would not. I hope it turns out well for the kid and it doesn't bite Bo. It has changed my opinion some of him. Still think he is a long way from ever being a Power 5 coach again. Wishing him luck is very hard for me. But he is making steps to repair his rep. That is all I can ask of him. I don't think he would be a good fit at TN though Their fan base is far crazier than ours. He would clash quickly I think

He stated he was sorry he didn't do a good enough job. He never quit on Nebraska. We owe him every penny. He left like a professional, seems to truly like Nebraska an its fans. I don't think there is anyone more upset about his failure than he is. Just let him go. I will say this though, it would not surprise me for him to do something for Nebraska. He just seems the type to feel a responsibility to Nebraska. He left in away we as fans should be proud of, saying nothing but great things about Nebraska.

Just looked at the weather, 68 in Omaha, 44 at my house. Do you real football guys feel we have the talent to run Coach Frost's offense, or will have to adapt it a lot. Hoping we have the talent to become a half way descent defense with the right coach.

I live in SoCal, but at 4200 foot. We get all 4 seasons, but normally the temp is around 65 even after a major storm. 2 foot of snow is gone in 3 or 4 days. I could never live in Phoenix, just too darned hot in the summer. Nebraska when I lived there was cold and windy, not much snow. Old cars did not like to start. I am thinking the new automobiles make living there easier. I have Pine and Oak trees on my property, and drive 20 minutes to snow, 30 minutes to Palm Springs, or two hours to the ocean. No gang activity up here, but we now have many growers for the SoCal weed market. Not fun to have around.

Just got an email from the World Herald, Is there a frost coming to Nebraska, Picture of Coach Osborne and #7 standing on the side lines. Trying to sell cyber subscription.

Do you feel if they did put this deadline on him, they would ask him to leave after the CCG. Of course that would be best for Nebraska, but it would get a new coach to them quicker and help with recruiting. I can not imagine them sending him out recruiting.

Well you really nailed down a lot to disagree with uh I guess.. What are your concerns for Coach Frost if he takes the Titanic over. Do we have a wistrom, or peter brothers to mold the team in what we need? Who would you like to see help Coach Frost make it back You have a pretty good head on your shouders, give us some ideas that will make the change over easy and quick. Give us your best shot sir! I have looked thru 7 pages and have lost all sorts of brain sells, trying to understand the reason behind this. He either comes home or he doesn't I have a 300 foot tower to work on tomorrow, need to get some sleep, will miss most of the information tomorrow, most likely wont look at the site until tomorrow nite. Hopefully some good information here and good coach signed sealed and delivered.

This is pretty much what I thought would happen, really did not see him going anywhere but Nebraska, but felt there was a good chance he might stay at UCF. I am not certain he has made up his mind on either one of them yet. I am leaning he is coming to Nebraska, but UCF has upped their ante and once you have so much money, the real need for more is gone. He is a down to earth man. Very similar to Coach Osborne, whom we all know he idolizes. Come home and try and restore to the level of his idol, or make his own dynasty. Can he do it at UCF. His major problem is the conference, and now will be the problem of scheduling power 5 teams that will agree to schedule UCF. For his coaching future it is a tough call. If he comes home and can not overcome the problems it is the end of bright coaching future. He stays at UCF, continues winning, drawing from the rich recruiting area, he grows. Watching the USF/UCF game the other night, I noticed how close the teams really were. The kids congratulating the other team on a good play, helping each other up. To me that would indicate they all talk and that would make recruiting much easier there. I agree there is an offer on the table, and from our side it seems almost impossible he would stay, but we are not dealing with a guy that is all about money. He is real coach, an educator and a man of character. No one will be happier if he comes home, but I can deal with him staying where he is, if that is his decision. Which ever gets him, they are getting a good coach, but a better man.

I think we did good with Mr. Moos, and watching the video, he isn't going to get stuck in Nebraska snow. That video is impressive. I have never seen that before.

I posted awhile back how I thought he would handle his departure. That we would all appreciate how he leaves. A fantastic person, and I don't think we have seen the last of his niceness. I am very glad to see this thread, as most people fail at something in their lives, he has, but he conducted him self with honor his entire time here. I am glad everyone has made the kind comments about him.

I respectfully disagree Knapplc, it will be on Coach Osborne, that is who carries the weight with Coach Frost. I think a year ago, Coach Osborne would have told him not to come, but with new leadership from top to bottom, Coach Osborne will endorse what is offered. Again personal opinion, it will boil down to what is recommended by Coach Osborne, if Coach Frost has decided to come here. If that has happened, no other program has a chance at getting him, no matter the financial offer. This is a father son type of relationship, both will be looking out for each other. Still my only question on this is, does Coach Frost feel he has accomplished what he set as a goal at UCF.

To get us back in the National picture, but being able to represent in our division. Baby steps.. We have some very good offensive players returning if we come up with a QB that fits his offense. I am not sure about the defensive personnel. Not sure if it is talent or so many changes in system that causes the problems. I know we recruit with our peers in the division. I hope we have an aggressive defense, that is solid in the basics. I hate the body block tackling.

God Knows I hope you are right Sker! This has been a miserable 15 years, and it is time for us to all be proud of our team in every aspect. I have commented on integrity, loyalty in this thread, I think Coach Frost brings that. Do you really feel he can turn it around quickly?

Congrats ATS. Hope you continue to post on this site. Really enjoyed the game, when I did come back UCF scored as it changed. So I stealth watched, can I get +1's for that. The defense seemed similar, body blocks for tackles and arm tackles. I would want something a little more hardcore Nebraska, but the offense, actually both of them were fun to watch. I hope for your sake he stays home, but for all of us, he can not get here fast enough. All of us will feel your pain, well for at least a couple of seconds, when he leaves. I truly hope he comes home, but if he doesn't would really like to see him stay there and prove things not thought possible can happen. Great game!!!

He may be searching, but every possible outsider is a potential leak. Coach Frost and the University seem to be keeping this very quiet. He is not showing his cards in any way. I know we have supposed inside information depending on others to verify. For the University and the fan base hope it happens as soon as possible. I agree that the time given needs to be what ever it takes. He can not be worried about it in any way. This move for Coach Frost will be either stardom or suicide. He needs every opportunity to fix this program, and it really hasn't been fixed since shortly after he left. Wish him nothing but the best if he decides to take this nightmare on.

Well I am not going to say it is over. What a football game. But what I did see is a program coming alive, fans buying in as well as the team. Going to be crazy in Orlando tonight.

Saw a ribbon on ESPN saying Florida would talk with Scott Frost representatives this Saturday. I have not seen it again, but have not bee watching ESPN..Anyone else see this.

I think you miss understood. Went to the game, and USF scored, back to Nebraska, then to the game and they scored again. Bad luck, will stay away until after the game is over. lol

Going to quit checking in on this game, twice, just to watch USF to score!!!! Need to concentrate on Nebraska this afternoon!!!

No eating crow on this one. Love from the fans base is a major consideration to Coach Frost I think. As Nebraskans, overall, I think we would understand him staying at UCF (not happily), but never him going some place else.
