  1. Great post. Like some of these people think BO has NEVER yelled at his players either in practice or a game. Or any other coach in the country for that matter. Mangino is a hell of a coach and it would be great if he were running the offense at Nebraska !! I doubt that Bo attacked a player about his personal life like about someone in a players family getting shot or about a players alcoholic dad. The stuff in the espn article about this is way over the line. He is done at KU if you ask me.
  2. Ya and it dont hurt when recruits say it was awesome to talk to one of the greatest coaches of all time during their vists.
  3. I think with our offensive style it does. Last year Roy only put up roughly 850 yards in the entire season. Granted, he split time a lot more with Lucky and Castille, but for being the lead guy I'm impressed with the fact that he is probably going to get 1200-1300 if he continues to produce like he has. Given his injuries the last few weeks, I'm even more impressed. He only put up 850? He didnt start tell the 9th game and put up 510 yards in the final 4 games.
  4. Its the front page of rivals right now and says its this weeks bowl projections they have stanford playing texas tech in the sun bowl.
  5. Ya i know thats what I was thinking. I dont think the rivals writer did his homework.
  6. Rivals has us projected to play USC in the holiday bowl but then has Kansas State in the insight bowl. They think that K State is going to beat us in Lincoln WTF?
  7. I will be there student section. And we will be loud!!!!
  8. I think with us running a power I lately has to help us out with recruiting green. Hopefully he has been watching the Ok game and the Kansas game.
  9. Pelini has things going in the right direction if we beat ksu and colorado which i think we will he will have at least 9 wins again with a chance at two more wins. I thought it would take a couple years after the mess that you know who left. How many times did he get 9 wins i think once when we played aurburn in the cotton bowl? So I think pelini is only going to get better as a coach and recruits are taking notice.
  10. i agree they played great and really help out Lee. The wr's really adjusted to the ball and went up and got it.
  11. I think if weis gets canned we can still get this kid
  12. Nobody had a problem when the north was taking it to the south when the big 12 first started. People seem to forget that Oklahoma sucked then and Texas was good but not great. It was Nebraska and Kstate even Colorado. Heck Iowa state was good to with wallace at qb. It will cycle out and the north will come back.
  13. I think they are planning to switch some of the recruits we have as DE to DT. But a LB would be nice
  14. The WR did not have his helmet off and Asente was clapping when the player got up. He did not know that he was hurt.
  15. Notice that the stadium is loudest and best at night when more young people are there. I was there and the normal old people that sit next to us and complain gave their tickets to someone else and we were all yelling really loud. Lost my voice. It was the same way last year at the colorado game.
  16. Really so you want to rely on stars for determining top notch instead of what the coaches think. Sam Bradford, Colt Mccoy, Todd Ressing, Chase Daniels where all three stars or lower and I dont think Ganz was all that bad and he was a two star recruit. I will let the coaches do their job and trust who they recruit. Lee wasnt Bo's recruit and Green was his first QB who has started two games you dont know what he will do in the future.
  17. No you saw right. There's been enough plays this year with Green to see this. Green is good running in open spaces. He's not quick. He doesnt lower his shoulder like Frost or Frazier or Crouch or Lord and provide the hit. He doesnt make tacklers miss in the open field. So far, he is a QB that likes to run with the ball when he cant make a decision to pass. He should be serviceable, but is not the QB superstar as so many advid fans of his imagine him. Cody Green has dual-ability. But he aint no dual-threat. Neither is Lee. If you want to see a real dual threat QB that makes plays running & throwing, look at Cincinnati's backup QB Collaros. He is a threat to run or throw. Just compare his ability & what he's accomplished with his chance with an offense, to what we have with Lee and Green. Because 10 out of 10 coaches and teams would take Collaros over what we have in a heartbeat. So would I. And you know this because of two starts for a true freshman? Collaros was also learning from tony pike not zac lee when he got there and is getting to take all the first team reps. You dont know if Green is going to be a superstar and neither do I but the kid is 19 and started two games dont write him off yet. There is alot of QB's that it takes alittle while to play really good. U mentioned Frost he sucked his first year starting and I think he was a Junior at the time. Collaros also has playmakers on his team like Gilliyard or whatever his name is and who do we have for playmakers niles paul? dont think so. And im guessing they have a better line to.
  18. Obviously this has already been proven with lee getting his shot during the game, just thought i would say that i talked to Sean Fisher because I went to school with him and asked him about this and he said Zac would never say anything like that and he never heard anything. I think Green should be starting because he can run a little better but no reason to say anything like this about a player.
  19. That fumbled Option was Lee's fault as much as Helu's. The pitch was high and inside. It's a nit-picky thing, but it's the truth. Helu got both hands on it. Not every pitch is going to be perfect and if you can get both hands on it (within reason, I'm not talking about stretching out with fingertips here), then you should catch it. That goes for receivers, too. This is 1A football, you have to make those plays. Lee should have ate it and not pitched the ball though. Either way helu should of caught it but still it was dead lee should have just tried to get what he can in that situation.
  20. We didnt move back to #1. Miami was #1
  21. I still think we have a huge QB problem. Lee hasnt shown us anything and Green is just to young to try and run this offense. The line is a huge problem and seems like they get a penalty every drive. If the game is on the line we dont have a QB that can win it for us. I hope Green can be in the future but right now if we are behind late in the game we dont have a leader from the qb position.
