  1. Tanner looks wobbly since the down/fumble sack. I think he was knocked out. When he hit the ground and the ball popped out because he never truly had it (Note: not arguing the fumble). His arm was straight up.
  2. This was said about the line the last couple of years, but it was not an acceptable excuse.
  3. Can we block in punt return. Gunners are down the field all the time without obstruction.
  4. Yolo ball offense back. Are we now done with crossing routes?
  5. Lol - that was fun to watch. Texas scored all there points basically on defense and special teams. 2 KO bounced off players, a block FG, multiple penalties. I thought Charlie Strong was gone?
  6. I say this facetiously, but Briles had full control. I just wish he used that control to do right.
  7. Heard that when Rielly came too, yet we chunked the ball more with TA (not his strength) than I can remember ever seeing.
  8. Knapplc - no excuse list is complete without reference to it being Texas/ Big 12 fault or the effects of Prop 48 Rule.
  9. This is just odd to me. I agree with you that this is Nate's fault and no excuses can be made for him. That being said, I do have interest on how this could've gone undetected. What exactly is being monitored and tracked for academic performance? When I played ball all freshman were required to be in study until they had a 3.0. That could only be acheieved by end of 1st semester (unless you enrolled early in January). Upperclassmen below a 2.49 were required to stay in study hall until they surpassed a 2.5. Midterm grades we monitored and if you failed courses in the previous semester you were automatically in study hall and provided assistance to ensure you stayed on track to graduate. Since we were already on campus for summer conditioning, you took classes. If you were on track it put you ahead, if you were behind it was an opportunity to get makeup credit. I think Rileys staff should allow freedom to those that are taking care of their business, but if you have shown an inability to pass your classes the coaches should scrutinize those player to the same extent or more as someone that is struggling with the playbook.
  10. Two points: 1) It's funny to me with Herbie that anything close for Clemson is definitely wrong or right, however if it's a OSU call is always definitive. 2) Having depth is awesome for offense and defense, but can also add stronger weapons on special teams. All four teams today have had explosive plays in the Special Teams.
  11. About what exactly? He blows things out of proportion. Try's to make a story when there isn't much therehttp://www.blackheartgoldpants.com/2016/7/25/12268642/faith-ekakitie-cops-guns-bank-robbery-icpd-blm So he hasn't lied to the media about anything then?He "tried" to play the victim then and is doing the same thing here. Why make this public and not name the player. Doesn't he want that said player to be disciplined for his remarks? This reminds me of the Chase Daniels incident where he reported that he got spit out which turned out to be false He was a victim! The only reason they stopped him is beacuse he is black! The dude is 3 bills and the guy who stuck up the store is probably a buck 70 soaking wet. How in the hell does that fit the description? He wanted to tell his side of the story and he did so in a very well mannered way. Maybe he doesn't want to name names because he knows that's not really who the player really is. Maybe he doesn't want the media backlash to follow them for the rest of their career and life. Maybe he will talk with NU athletics and inform them who it was so they can take care of it quietly, and the player involved can learn without screwing up his future. He doesn't really know who the player really was? Now you're just reaching here. Maybe just maybe it didn't happen or he misheard what our player said Look he fit the discription (black and wearing a hoodie) so any cop is going to stop any individual who A) Is black and B) Wearing a hoodie. He then goes out of his way to post of Facebook that he was racially profiled blah blah blah. Again playing the victim feel sorry for me when the cops were only doing their job. Not ever having one gun, much more four guns pointed at me, I can't say what I would do after returning home safely in a situation like what occurred to him. Kids in college towns/ high school walk around with headphones all the time. Not smart, but it's what they do. I didn't take the statement he posted to Facebook as playing the victim. I think in his opinion he was wrongfully targeted and went to social media. Lots of people do this as they view it as a good way to keep friends and family updated on things. Lastly, I read he had head phones and if they assumed it was a hoody I will infer it was the big ear covering headphones instead of small ear buds, but I didn't read anything that said he had on a hoodie like the suspect.
  12. Man, how can you not cheer for Pitt''s Conner. He is a great story and a baller.

    1. The Dude

      Awesome story! Stud

  13. It's not classless. It is the way of the playoff system we are currently operating under. They are on the outside of the playoff 4 and playing the perceived # 10 team. If they you have an opportunity to run it up against #10, why wouldn't you?
  14. Just outside of FG range in the 3rd quarter. What are they supposed to do? When we screamed for respect the last 8 weeks, we cannot be mad that a team is playing in the 3rd quarter.
  15. Desmond Howard (throws up in mouth) takes every opportunity possible to knock NU.

  16. Sounds like her had a little trouble adding those two point.
  17. Bad pass by Tommy, but look at the path taken by Wilbon.
